《The Will Of The Cat》Chapter Four: What Happened?

The sun rise awakens Johny from his rest. As he gets up he can't remember how he got in his room, or anything after his meditation. He attempts to, but only remembers something about a cat.
"Probably just a weird dream", he thinks to himself.
He grabs a change of clothes and walks towards the bathroom hearing the slight sound of footsteps behind him. Ignoring it he closes the bathroom door behind him and locks it.
He looks in the mirror and takes off his shirt seeing if he got bruised or anything. Nothing new. His mind continues to dwell on his thoughts. He then turns on the shower and gets ready to hop in.
"Hot!", he shouts nearly scorching himself.
He falls over and takes the shower curtain down with him.
"I'm fine!", he shouts before anyone could answer the crash.
He gets up and places the shower curtain back up.
"How did I not see the steam?", he questions himself adjusting the water temperature and getting back in the shower.
The water now felt soothing on his skin. He stood there thinking.
"The last thing I remember from this supposed dream was a cat, and his name was...", he began thinking to himself.
He stared into the shower head unblinking, as if it held the answer.
"Masahiro", he chanted aloud recalling the name.
"You called me?", answered a voice as if he had summoned it.
The feline poked it's head through the curtain and stared at Johny. Johny then let's out a small scream and rushes to cover himself.
"You called me sir?", he repeated in a calm leisurely voice.
"Can't you see that I'm in the shower!?", Johny barked at him embarrassed.
"Clearly, but why are you trying to conceal yourself? There's no need to be embarrassed, it'll grow eventually", Masahiro continued.
"WILL YOU GET OUT!?", he bellows shoving the cat out.
"What's going on in there?", Johny's mother asked with concern from the kitchen.

"This pedophile won't leave me alone!", Johny answered glaring at the cat.
"I beg your pardon, but you called me in there", he responded nonchalantly.
"Masahiro, leave him alone!", Johny's mother scolded.
With that, the cat bowed his head apologetically and walked away.
Johny closed the door and got back in the shower watching the door hesitantly. Finishing up, he dried off and put on his change of clothes. He then walked into the kitchen where breakfast was ready and the cake was covered and untouched.
"Morning", Johny greets walking into the room.
"Good morning", his parents reply.
"How'd you sleep?", his father questioned him.
"Fine", he responded taking a seat at the table.
"You know, you passed out before we could even finish singing. I had to carry you to your bed", Johny's father laughed.
"I was wondering how I got there".
"So can we still have that cake?", Johny questioned.
"Yeah, but we have to sing to you again", his father answered.
"Alright, sounds fair to me".
His parents then closed the curtains and uncovered the cake.
The candles lit and they began to sing.
When the song was finished Johny blew out the candles and then the curtains were opened, bringing in the light of a new day.

Johny stepped outside to where Masahiro said to meet him. The cat was casually sitting there expectantly.
"What did you call me out here for?", Johny asked the cat.
"To begin training", he answered.
"Training? I thought my parents were training me?", he questioned.
"Well yes, and no. I'm your actual teacher".
"I thought you were my grandpa's cat".
"That's also true. Well it was. Now I belong to you".
"What does that mean?".
"I was your grandfather's servant, but he has given me to you to train you and help you. Didn't you read the letter?".
"What letter?".
"Ah, yes, you fainted. Your parents have it, but it's fine. Worry about it later. Let's start your first actual training session".

Masahiro stood up. Johny, full of questions, just shook his head and prepared himself for whatever was coming.
"Dodge", he shouts before sending an attack at Johny.
Barely evading, Johny looks at him in slight anger and fear. Grimacing, Masahiro proceeded to send attacks at Johny. He dodged them flawlessly, until he got hit with a blast of air. Johny flew back about three meters. Creating a dust trail, he was stunned at the force of the blast. His hair was sent in all directions. The barrage continued, but this time the earth was crumbling around him. Jumping into the air, Johny looks down and sees a bottomless pit.
"Whaa...!?", Johny begins before almost plummeting.
Creating a platform out of the air, he leaps out of the way.
"That was close", he thinks to himself before landing.
He gets hit again, but this time he just shrugs it off. Getting slightly annoyed he starts sending attacks of his own. Some of the blasts collided. Getting hit in the back of the head and nearly falling over, Johny looks closer. Portals.
"No fair!", he shouts ceasing his fire and continuing to dodge.
"I told you to dodge, nothing more, nothing less", Masahiro replied sending off one last attack. A massive wave of earth.
Johny stood, awestruck. He froze. The ground toppling over him, gravity taking over. Almost completely covered in dirt, Johny reached a hand upward. He was dizzy now and slightly disoriented.
"That's enough training for today", Masahiro says standing on top of Johny.
"We'll finish tomorrow".
"Oh, and you failed today's lesson", he concluded walking away.
Johny let his hand fall and laid there dizzy and confused.
"Huh?", was all he could say.
After about ten minutes he sat up and contemplated what just happened. After coming to a somewhat consoling conclusion, he stood up and went home. Reaching the door he realized how dirty he was and cleaned himself with his energy, casting all the dirt off of him. Walking inside he sees his parents talking to Masahiro. They greeted him casually, asking how training went.
"Exhilarating", he replied.
The cat grinned.
"So Masahiro was telling me that I got a letter from grandpa", Johny inquires.
"Oh, yeah. It should be on the bookshelf by the door", his mother answered.
Johny went towards the living room, then to the shelf by the door. He noticed the letter with it's wax seal on it. The seal had the family crest. The envelope was placed right next to a book about mythology. Grabbing it, Johny opened it and removed the contents from within. The letter and a smaller piece of parchment. He read the smaller piece of parchment first.
"Infuse energy into the transmutation circle", it said in the back.
Johny did as the it said and a puff of smoke appeared then a necklace fell into his hands. Perplexed he just puts it on and reads the letter.
"Dear Johny,
I wish I could be attending your celebration, but I am getting old as you know. I leave me dearest friend into your possession. He may be a pain sometimes, but he means well. Keep him close and you may discover things that you would have never known before. I also give you the family heirloom. It's not in the envelope, but in the seal. If you have trouble ask your mother, she's a skilled one. If you have any other concerns ask him. He knows what to do. One final piece of advice: be cautious.
Sincerely, Grandpa"
"Cautious of what?", Johny questions looking up from the letter.
1. Dr. Stone
2. The Promised Neverland
3. Noragami
There'll be more recommendations in later chapters. Hmm. I guess that's all. Until our next encounter, bye!

The Morrigan
Reality started crumbling the day I died and reincarnated. The enigmatic God offered some answers, but at the same time created more questions. Given a goal both absurd and ambiguous, I choose to start my new life. It sounded good and all, but first, I would have to avoid being eaten by my new family, or killed by the inhabitants of this new world. This is the story of how I tried to stay human when the world pushed me to become something else. A Swarm. Writing for fun and as a way to improve my English. Overpowered protagonist haters begone. The cover isn’t from my authorship, I just found it on the internet.

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!

Magic has vanished from the modern world, relegated to 'biased accounts' and fairy tales. It has no place in the world of heroes and science. Or so the modern people thought. Mana World - Convergence
The story is complete it was a prototype and it is BAD.I do not recommend reading it, I will not edit it in any form, it is still here as a personal remained of how bad I was at the start. Mages are soo cool but without mana you can't become a mage. Well let's see how we can get mana to this world. I'm sure it would be a perfectly safe and excellent idea. First try at writing something like this. Dunno if I will update constantly or not, dunno what will happen with the story and the characters. Recipe: 3 cubic meters of science, 5 shit tons of pseudo science, 2 dantians of mistycism,1/2 cup of stupid references, 1 package of sarcasm, 1/400 tolkien epicness, 1 tea spoon of stupid commentaries, a pinch of craziness and dressed with randomness, uppps, too much randomness. Accepting all kinds of constructive criticism. Well prologue is finished.
