《The Will Of The Cat》Chapter Three: Meditation And Cats

When Johny came to consciousness, he was laying in the living room on the couch. He was covered with a white blanket.
Lazily he sits up, thinking about why he's in the living room.
"I passed out?", he thinks to himself.
He uncovers himself and begins walking towards the kitchen. His father appeared to be missing and his mother was starting cooking.
"I'm glad you're awake, are you alright?", she questions.
"Yeah, just a bit exhausted I guess".
"Try to stay awake until after dinner at least, okay? Oh, and your father wanted you, he's in the backyard".
"Alright", he responds drinking a quick glass of water and walking towards the glass sliding door and leaving.
The pungent aroma of the mountains filled his nostrils as he looked up towards the clear blue sky. Something about all of this seems almost freeing and refreshing to Johny's spirits as he continues towards his father. The clearing where he and his father had been the day before was the same as it was when they first arrived. He walks up to his father who is standing in the middle of the clearing. His father seemed fully aware beforehand that Johny was approaching.
"Ready for your next phase of training?", his father asks with a smile.
"I barely woke up just a moment ago and you're ready to get back to it?", Johny quizzed putting his hands in his pockets leaning on one leg.
"Hmm, so you don't want to? Well I guess you have a point. Alright then", he responds solemnly beginning to walk off.
"Wait! I didn't say no. Of course I'm ready!".
"Well, if you insist".
"So what am I learning now? How to teleport? How to fly? How to read minds? How to create a portal?", Johny questions full of wonder and excitement.
"Umm, no. Not today, and you'd have to ask your mother. Today we're going to teach you how to meditate".

"Umm, I already know how though".
"Yeah, but not the advanced way".
"Advanced way?".
"Yep".
Johny pondered this for a moment in his head, thinking to himself, "Do I just have to think harder, yet not at all at the same time?".
"Just sit down in the meditation pose. Then close your eyes and I'll explain".
Johny sits down on the ground crossing his legs and placing his hands on his knees.
"I want you to start off by controlling your breathing, visualizing the landscape, and giving attention to everything. Use all your senses at once embracing everything, then clear your mind".
Johny did as his father said.
"Now feel the energy all around you. From the ground underneath you, the flowing water, the swirling air, the nature around you, and to the sky above. Energy beyond space and time as well, and then take it beyond that. The energy within yourself. Imagine it flowing through you and around you. Every breath you take seems to be fresher than the last. It calms you. Let your body absorb all of this and then, release yourself from your body".
Johny began to glow, almost floating. He slips from his physical being. Things seemed to be clearer and he was seeing all the energy surrounding him, almost calling to him. He then breathes it all in then looks down at his body. It was in autopilot. He looks towards his father who is beaming with pride.
"I think we're done with this lesson, I have taught all I could".
His father then ruffles Johny's hair and leaves.
Johny stayed exploring for about fifteen minutes in his spirit form, which he was beginning to notice it wasn't the same as in his physical body. His appearance was also different.
He walked towards the water and looked at his reflection. His clothes were now just white robes with gold lining, his skin was clearer and a little paler, and his hair had turned to a white blonde color, yet his eyes remained an icy electric blue.

He pondered this for a while until he realized that if he wanted he could change his entire appearance.
He messed with the color of his hair for a while, then his clothes, his eyes, and even his skin going through every color he could think of. He then just left it the way it was and returned to his body. It seemed lighter.
He finished meditating and returned to his house. The sun was about to set.
The air, trees, and grass were different. Everything seemed new and full of life. Johny was now able to see the world with his third eye. Energy was everywhere.
When he entered his house he was greeted by the smell of dinner. He looks towards the kitchen to see everything was set up. The plates on the table were brimming with food. Glasses were set next to the plates, four of them, one for each person, except there's an extra, but why?
A sudden knock.
Johny walks towards the living room to where he sees his parents standing, opening the door. He sees them step aside as a cat walks in on two legs. The cat tosses his hat on to the coat rack along with his jacket, both landing perfectly, then placed his cane by the door.
"If you had decided to let me in a moment later I might have walked in uninvited", the cat says calmly.
"Why, hello there", Johny's mother greets.
"Greetings! You must be my new slaves... I mean hosts! It's nice to finally meet you. My name is Sir Masahiro", introduced the cat.
They all stared at the cat in confusion.
"Erm... hello?", Johny replied quite perplexed.
"Hello indeed. Well, let's proceed to the commodities, shall we?", he said going to the table and taking a seat.
Johny then pulled his father aside for a moment,"Who is this guy?".
"He's your grandpa's cat, remember?", his father replies.
Johny tried remembering, but couldn't.
"Not really...".
"Well I can tell you more later, let's eat", he responds turning towards the table and taking a seat across from where Johny's seat is and to the right of his mother's.
"Hmm...", Johny thought for a moment before heading to the table and taking a seat himself.
His plate was covered with rice, meat, dumplings and vegetables. He thanked his mother for the food before devouring it with glee, him and the cat glaring at each other the whole time. He then went on to eat a second plate and then he was full. The cat set up napkins looking at Johny in slight disgust, then he began to eat taking his time savouring every mouthful until his plate was empty. He then thanked Johny's mother for the meal and swirled his glass around and drank little by little. Johny, on the other hand, downed the entire glass in one go. They each leered at the other for a moment before the table was cleared of the main course and a cake was set.
The cake was one with an orange design on the top. It had three design layers: lemon, lime, and orange. His parents placed thirteen candles on the cake. They lit up and the lights dimmed and eventually went off. The only light that remained was the candle light. The table and it's surroundings were the only things visible now. They began singing.
Johny sat there entranced by the flame, or more like the face behind it. Masahiro's appearance was suddenly warped into that of a human. Johny started feeling dizzy, confused, and exhausted. As the song was nearing it's end Johny started to fade into sleep, the words only lulling him more and more. His head rested upon the table as he drifted through the darkness.

The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
