《Blood Walkers (A Once In A Bluemoon Novel Series #1) COMPLETED》Chapter Three: Too deep

I couldn't feel anything.
My whole body felt like a statue.
I slowly opened my eyes and examined the room I was in. I was sure this wasn't the cold metal cell I was in before I can closed my eyes. I was in a much warmer, welcoming environment.
The sky behind the thick maroon curtains was a bright crimson red that shot descent rays through the small gaping between the curtains. Despite the coldness that emitted from the out into the in, I felt rather warm and comfortable than expected.
The only sound visible to me at the current moment was the silent beating of my heart buried in my chest.
I glanced over at the portrait above a small oakwood table carrying different flowers in a glass vase. To my shock, the portrait was of Grey. He was smiling and holding hands with a little girl who smiled with peace embedded in her eyes. She had long orange hair that was pulled into one tight ponytail....
I suddenly felt something stroke my waist.....
Using my hand slowly to search inside the thick blanket, lowering to my waist as my heart screamed in my chest, hoping it was not what I think it was, I felt warm muscular hands through the tip of my fingers. I slowly glanced over my shoulder only to stare at the murderous alpha Grey. Looking less in sleep than expected. There was a big chance he wasn't sleeping at all and was pretending for the fun of it.
I studied him, his silver hair had dark ends of which I didn't notice before. At this current moment, it was messy and tangled altogether. Clearly displaying how much he moved in his sleep.
I sighed and turned over to my side and away from him as I shoved his hand off of me. Feeling so poisoned by his touch. I tried shutting my eyes as a distraction just until I could walk out of this room. However that was impossible as I was fully aware of him laying behind me.
He did it again, this time only worse. He circled both hands around my waist and pressed his body to my back, bringing an unnerving feeling to creep up and nest in my stomach and spine.

I reached down to remove his grip but that only forced him to hold on tightly. He was fully awake and there was no denying it.
After what seemed like half an hour of trying to free myself from this prison of muscular arms, I gave up and decided to ignore him for the sake of my mental health.
I felt his head move even closer to my shoulder and his warm breath caressed my skin, giving me goosebumps as he slowly planted small warm kisses on my shoulder, startling my body in the process.
"Stop it." I said and that only motivated him as he traced down to my hand. "Grey!"
I wiggled my whole body to free from him, but he only tightened his hold and made it difficult for me to even breath.
"I'll stop when I want to." He whispered as he traced towards my neck.
Sighing out and finally giving up, eventually. I was aware that this wasn't working.
"What did I do to you?" He asked but still continued his annoying action.
I didn't want to tell him. He knows too well why and he just wanted to start a conversation with me of which I will not help build.
"Emily." He whispered softly and I could fell his stare eating the back of my head.
"Just leave me alone." I said as tears surprisingly slid out of my eyes and onto my cheeks. I wiped them off with my thumb and yet they kept coming down, burning my chicks that were in fact still bruised.
Too bad my wolf had to leave me before I fully recover. Now, I have to bear the pain that healed slowly. They were dry but slightly noticeable and painful.
I was suddenly turned over so fast that I couldn't stop myself until I was facing him. He frowned and furrowed his eyebrows as he stroked my cheek with his warm fingers, obviously noticing the marks he made to me.
"I thought you'll heal." He said as he supported himself with his elbow and planted a kiss on my forehead to which I flinched to.
"No." I said, frowning deeply. "my wolf comes and goes..."

"What?" He asked, completely confused and taken aback as I cursed at myself.
I had started a conversation with him, unwillingly.
"It's how I was born. She's not always there.... It makes me more human than werewolf." I said and attempted to turn, but as if he had read my mind, he held my shoulders tightly to prevent any movement I could do.
"I'm sorry I hurt you, Emily." He said as he leaned onto the pillow from his elbow. "I freaking hate myself for hurting you." He whispered as he searched for something in my eyes.
I shut my eyes purposely then opened them a few seconds later, trying to shake is eyes from preying into mine for a moment.
"You're hurting me every time." I said and his eyes widened with curiosity.
"How?" He asked, his voice sounding off and concerned as well as angry in all as he stroked my cheek.
"By not rejecting me." I said coldly, forcing him to freeze, giving me a shocked, wide eyed expression.
He eased his shoulders in defeat that I managed to escape from his grip and stood up from the bed, heading for the portrait that I badly wanted to read out the name of the girl. I bent over to a small tag just below the portrait and the name Ariana was written in golden paint.
"How old was she?" I glanced over my shoulder to him. He was now in a sitting position and staring at me disbelievingly, as though I had accused him or sleeping with the devil.
"Why do you hate me so much, Emily?" He asked and I turned away from him, eyeing the portrait a bit more and obviously dodging the question.
"How old was-"
"Why do you hate me so much!" He asked a bit louder and full of fear. I turned abruptly at him in fury, shaking to the tip of my toes.
As if he doesn't know!
"You want to ask!?" I asked, clenching my fists tightly. "You seriously have the nerve to act innocent, you jerk!?" Tears invaded my sight of vision as my whole body tensed and trembled.
"What the hell did I fucking do?" He asked, calming his raging heart, picking his words carefully. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair in frustration.
"You killed my brothers," I began. "This same pack stole my parents from me seven solid years ago." I wiped my tears and turned from him, trying to calm my tormented heart. "I don't want to be with you, why can't you understand that?"
I felt warm muscular arms wrap around me and I tried again to shove him away from me but failed in a useless attempt.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, tightening the hold on my waist. "I didn't know, I'm honest, if I did, I would never have hurt him, Emily."
This only made my emotions turn for the worst. I covered my face with my hands and cried out, feeling so weak and hopeless to the point I disgusted myself.
"Please forgive me, Emily," he stroked my hair slowly "Please... I really need you..."
I sighed and looked at the portrait in front of us, reminding myself that he still didn't answer my question.
"How old was she?" I asked, not wanting to forgive him right then and there.
"Eight," he replied, looking over my shoulder. "She got killed,"
"By who?"
"Rumours had it that it was your pack alpha, I didn't know he was your brother.... And..." He sighed, burying his head into my neck. "I made a mistake, I'm sorry."
I didn't have the energy to reply. Pain buried me in too deep. He just concluded to kill my brother without finding out the truth?
"Emily, forgive me.... Please..." He whispered.
"No," I wiped my tears and took a deep breath. "I can't, you dug a stupid deep whole inside my bleeding chest."
"Then let me fill it up," he stroked my cheek slowly, leaving a tingling sensation where he touched. A touch so soft and caring... A touch that did not match to his nature.
"It's too deep and it will take millions of years!" I shoved him from me and wiped my furious tears away. "It's just too deep...."
