《Blood Walkers (A Once In A Bluemoon Novel Series #1) COMPLETED》Chapter Four: Forget?

He sighed and bit his lip as he let go of me and faced the floor. Thinking deeply about something from the look in his eyes. This wasn't how I imagined I'd be with my mate. I never imagined hurting him like this, nor me becoming furious at him for something that he did.

But how could he have the guts and soul to just... Rip someone apart like he was nothing?

"I'll make it up to you... I promise," he said after a moment of hesitation. "I know... I know I can..."

I simply stared at him at a loss for words as he scratched the back of his head nervously, looking everywhere but me.

"Get washed, I...wanna show you something." He said, now meeting my eyes. I simply nodded, knowing if I rejected his offer, I'd hurt him and no one would like me for being selfish....

I headed for the bathroom and felt his gaze digging holes into my back. I opened the black wooden door and gasped at the new surrounding.

White tiled floor, maroon walls that seemed to shine when the light emitting from the black wood framed window reflected on them. A glass shower cubicle stood at the far right corner and a white bathtub was designed to correspond with the left corner. In the middle, was two large mirrors each with maroon painted cupboards, possibly holding some conditioners and the like.

I slowly closed the door behind me, glancing over my shoulder, I saw him still staring at me. Once I slowly closed the door and locked it, I sighed out in relief to having closed the tension his eyes gave me.

I took a quick shower and dried myself completely with a towel hanging just outside the cubical. Now staring at the dirty clothes I had on, I wondered if I had to wear the same.

Surprisingly, a nice white dress hang just by the door with a note above it saying 'wear this,'.

I walked to it and stretched it's fabric a bit, examining the nice decorations and designs that complimented it so well and how it was the right fit for me.

I walked into a large hallway, walking towards two big brown doors that stretched towards the ceiling. I hadn't found Grey in the room once I had gotten out, he simply left a note instructing that I go to the dining hall. Completely oblivious to the fact that I had no clue of where it was.

The black marble heels, he picked for me was, as a matter of fact, too loud and annoying to the ears as I walked.

A woman flinched and quietly hissed at me at some point in the corridor when I walked past her in a hurry. I couldn't blame her but apologize for it.

Up ahead, just at the door, was Grey's beta. Well dressed as always, in a neat dark blue suit with his hair tied to a tight ponytail.

He flashed me a smile as I got closer. I couldn't help but smile back at him.

"You look delicious." He winked and I blushed, tucking some hair behind my ear and straightening my back.

"Thank you." I said.

"Grey's waiting outside, shall we?" He held out his hand and I sighed, placing my palm in his, taking in the warmth from his fingers.

"We shall," I said as my heart picked up some pace, this time, I sensed her, my wolf, she was excited for no reason. "What's your name?"

"Oh, my apologises," he grinned, "I'm Jacob."

"Oh," I nodded with a small mindful smile as he led me towards the door. He opened them with less effort and I was greeted with a room filled with bright red roses that I couldn't help but smile at their beauty.

He led me towards a door that led to the outside. There, I saw Grey, running a nervous hand into his slightly combed hair. His jacket hang on the black chair he sat on, his tie loose around his neck, first button of his shirt undone and he was whispering to himself, unconsciously taping his fingers to the table, giving out a loud sound of which he was oblivious to.

I frowned and furrowed my eyes. He looked completely lost and shaken.

Jacob pulled the chair for me and I sat down, not keeping my eyes off of Grey who barely noticed I had arrived yet.

"Grey," Jacob called in an annoyed manner and Grey glanced up to meet my eyes first before Jacob's.

"Sorry..." He sighed out. Jacob later on disappeared into the dinning hall once more. Grey on the other hand looked like he was going to faint from his nerves and it looked as though he was frustrated.

"Are you okay?" I asked for the sake of it and he leaned back into his chair with a smirk plastered on his face.

"It's cute that you care about me," he grinned and I frowned, crossing my arms.

"Don't think I've forgiven you that easily." I rolled my eyes in boredom.

"What should I do then?" He asked, leaning onto the table. "Tell me."

"Reject me," I deadpanned with a straight eyes and he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Seriously? This again? What freak do you-"

"What's up with you acting like a switch!?" I asked furiously, glaring at him.

"I don't act like a switch," he said, "you're just impossible."

"I am not!"I said, "you hurt me all the time!"

"He's gone okay!" He said firmly without a hint of regret in his eyes as I saw the rage boil in him. "Just forget okay!? I can't bring him back to life and you know that! It was a mistake so why can't you just accept it!? Why are you so stubborn and selfish!?"

I stared, eyes soaked with tears that burned with pain once he said those words.

What a mate I was given....

I shut my eyes and breathed, my wolf was gone, there was no way I'd pick a fight now. I would definitely lose.

Just then, a waitress brought a tray with breakfast, her face looking nearly confused and uncomfortable.

"I hope you like eating your breakfast alone, you jerk." I said as tears covered my cheeks as I stood up.

"Wait, Emily..." He stood up and reached out for me as I walked past him, dodging his hand. "I'm sorry!" He said as I walked into the dining hall and that's when I heard his footsteps behind me. Growing louder as he came closer. He grabbed my shoulders and turned me around instantly as he gently leaned me against the wall. I looked at the floor, not wanting to look at him at all.

"I'm sorry." He said as he stroked my cheek and I glared at him, slapping his hand away.

"Is that all you know?" I asked angrily, "I'm sorry?"

"You just have to let go of some thing's Emily." He tried to sound calm and caring of which he was failing at. "I'm trying and you keep pushing me away."

"It's because I don't want you," I said and he clenched his jaw, taking a deep breath as he shut his eyes.

"You're so fucking annoying," he said through gritted teeth and my eyes widened in surprise.

"So are you." I shoved him from me and he took a few steps back.

"If you won't eat breakfast with me, you're not eating anything else the whole freaking day." he yelled furiously.

"What is this? Beauty and the beast? I don't care!" I turned and headed for the big doors where I realised Jacob was standing, talking to a maid who giggled animatedly.

I walked past him only to have him jump in shock when he spotted me. From the corner of my eye, I could see him glancing towards Grey who was shooting knives at me, obviously.

I walked into the silent halls once more. Making much more noise with my shoes.

"Luna!" Jacob called as he reached my pace in seconds.

"Don't call me that," I said, sounding blue.

"Please, Grey will turn the world into ashes if-"

"Find him someone who cares! I don't want anything to do with him! I'm done! I'm leaving this stupid place!"

"You've known each other for a day, how on earth can you hate each other like this?"

"He's a jerk and I'm someone who doesn't care, what do you expect?" I asked and he stopped, so I continued alone, towards the cells.

I'd just free my friends and that was it.

Farewell mate.
