I dodged so many trees as I went, feeling he's growl intense on me, almost as though he was breathing down my neck.

I glanced over my shoulder to check the distance between us only to realise, that was going to be the end of me....

By the time I turned back to my path, a bright flash of light filled my eyes followed by a sharp pain on my forehead, completely knocking me unconscious in a blink of an eye.

"Emily," I felt warm hands cup my cheeks as I slowly opened my eyes to the intense lighting of the bulb, bringing me out of my unconscious state. I looked around and saw bright purple eyes of which I recognised as Ellen's, someone I'm very close from our pack. "Good, you're okay,"

"Riley... He's gone," tears filled my eyes as the scene flashed into my mind in a hunting manner. "Where's Brad?" I looked around the cell but caught no sight of him.

"He... He got ripped apart... Grey....," She hesitated and looked away in pain. I felt it all. Pain, misery and hate radiated from her body and onto mine.

"Who's Grey?" I asked with a tight jaw, clenching my fists and unclenching them furiously only to have her look back with shocked wide yet apologetic eyes.

"The alpha of STRIKE," she frowned and wiped a tear from her cheek, "your mate."

"I am not his mate!" I sneered in disgust and got to my feet, narrowing my eyes at her as I tried to stable myself. "We have to get out of here," I walked to the walls and felt them for any possible thin area that I could break, unfortunately the walls were too thick to punch through.

"He said he'd kill us if we tried," she complained and I glared at her to which she flinched to.

"Then I might as well beat him to it, by killing him first before I leave," I said and she gasped in terror, tears in her eyes. "He may be 'destined' to me, but I believe it was a mistake for us."

"He will kill you Emily... Don't,"

"He killed my brothers, how on earth could I be with someone that cruel?" I looked at the floor and placed my forehead onto the wall, feeling hopeless. "I will avenge them...,"

Just then, a loud bang filled the room, coming from the corridor behind the door, followed by loud footsteps and clicking of guns. It sounded a bit faint and far, meaning, there was a large hallway behind that door.

I felt him.

I gritted my teeth in reflex and anger. Growling silently as I scratched the walls out of anger and disgust.

A click echoed off the walls, followed by the sound of our door swinging open. His scent at this point was strong, meaning he was in this very room as I shut my eyes, still leaning against the was.

"Emily," I growled just at the mention of my name from his dirty mouth.

"Stay away from me," I growled and that was when I noticed she was back. My wolf. She must have heard about our brothers and how everything connected with our mate.

Or she was here to defend him at all costs.

"You are my freaking mate," he growled, his voice deep, majestic and threatening. I turned for the first time to meet his dark eyes that burned with such longing, longing I could not mistake for love. "Whether you like it or not."

"I don't want you!" I spat at him and he narrowed his eyes, clenching his jaw as his tightened his fists, trying to compose himself.

"I want you," he said in more of a whisper, clearly displaying how weak in love he was. Clearly displaying his longing for love. For me.

"I said I don't." I bit back as I folded my arms. "I don't care if you do, you have no right to claim me."

"I have all the freaking rights to it, because you were destined to me." his breathing became short and hostile, very audible for all ears to hear. Almost similar to that of a beast as his veins pressed against his skin on his forehead and neck.

"Who said you can't change-"

"Shut up!" He roared, making Ellen gasp in shock and shrink in terror. I took a step back only to meet the wall that was willing to help with my end wholeheartedly. "You think I can just ignore it? You were destined to me, and that should never try to be changed, no matter how we freaking hate each other, I swear, you try anything stupid, I'll kill you."

"Do it." I said and his nostrils flared angrily. Ellen mind linked me to shut up and accept it, but I wasn't willing to have him. He was evil and cruel, he did not deserve me. He never will.

"You're pushing my nerves, Emily." He said through gritted teeth as I stared at his clenched jaw and heaving chest. His whole body shook in anger and it was threatening.

"Am I?" I asked challengingly and his eyes changed into a strong deadly yellow as veins pressed onto his skin even further. He was going to transform. "And don't call me-"

I was cut short when he moved so quickly and have his claws dig into my neck in seconds, penetrating my throat as blood gushed out my mouth, causing me to coughed and chock on my own blood.

"Stop!" Ellen screamed in fear, sounding like a helpless child, her skin as pale as ever and her body shaking in fear. That's when I felt my wolf,.. She... She wanted to save me.

I felt her slowly gain control of my strength and emotions that I managed to shove him from me and lunged for him, scratching at his bare muscular chest as blood decorated the metal floors and walls causing him to stumble back a few feet, trying to gain balance as his wounds faded slowly.

The blood covering my neck dyed my white oversized shirt, making. Luckily with my wolf's presence, I was able to heal faster.

He glanced down at his chest and I felt my wolf leaving again once my wounds had closed up completely.

No, no... This isn't over! He'll just-

It was too late, he lunged for me and swung his menacing claws at me. It came in like a fist in the face, his sharp nails left drains across my face and neck and part of my chest, causing me to fall a few feet from him and hit the wall harshly with the back of my head.

The room span all around me as I reached for my head, shutting my eyes as I kept coughing my life out.

Stupid mate.

"What the hell do you think you're doing Grey!" I heard a voice say of which I failed to recognised. "That's your mate!"

I believe he was the beta, otherwise just a member wouldn't be yelling madly at him like that taking he was an alpha....

I felt weak as darkness filled me, forcing me to crush onto the ground, laying on the cold metal floor as the room kept spinning. I slowly opened my eyes only to see Grey looking horrified. He's eyes a normal blue and his face struck with fear.

"I...I lost control... I...damn..." He ran a hand through his hair as he talked to the beta who seemed the same age as he was.

"Get the fuck out of here, I told you to watch your outbursts." The beta told him and Grey growled angrily, easily losing it again.

"Who's the alpha here?" He growled narrowing his eyes at the beta who stood challengingly.

"Do I freaking care?" The beta rolled his eyes as his eyes flashed a bright yellow from green, clearly indicating how well controlled he was over his emotions.

They eyed each other and before I could hear or see what came next, my body began to shiver from the lose of blood, causing me to lose consciousness yet again.
