《The Broken House》Most Wanted Orphan

Only two days have passed, and O'Connor is unsuccessful in catching Nadine. He searched any place where orphans usually hide. Every alley is cleaned out. He hid in stores, so he could trap Nadine. It didn't work at all.

It doesn't make sense. For once, he was stumped. O'Connor couldn't understand how, out of every orphan he confined, he can't find this one. "She must be more clever than I thought," he said. O'Connor decided to restart over the next day.

The following day, he tried again. As he turned into a street corner, he bumped into Leo. He was carrying a picnic basket. "Where are you hurrying off to, boy," O'Connor asked.

"I'm seeing a friend."

"Well, unless you have a house burning, slow down."

"Yes, sir."

"Where does your friend live?" Leo took a gulp of air. He knows that O'Connor wants Nadine.

"On the other side of town," the boy lied.

"Why don't I escort you?"

"No! I mean, no, thank you. I know my way."

"All right. Run along, now. Don't want to keep him waiting."

"Him?" Leo's mind clicked. "Oh, yes. Good day, sir." With that, Leo leaves. O'Connor watches him running off.

"I wonder why he is so urgent to see this friend of his. I will keep an eye on him. In the meantime, I have an orphan to catch." He finally turned the street corner.
