《Trick Or Treat || Michael Myers X Reader》Chapter Eighteen

"Alright, Alright!" Laurie clapped her hands together, gaining the attention of the two kids we were watching.
Just a while earlier Annie, one of Laurie's friends that I had met all those few days ago, had convinced sweet little Laurie to watch over Lindsey Wallace for her while she went out to go shack up with her boyfriend for the night.
I rolled my eyes at the thought, feeling a bit bad for Laurie since she was clearly the doormat in her friendships.
I stared at the ground and leaned back against the wall as Laurie began to speak.
"Everyone listening?" She asked, smiling calmly when the two children nodded joyously, pumpkin innards covering their young hands.
"Okay, so we need to go wash up, then we'll go watch the movie. Sound good?" The blonde teen suggested, glancing around the kitchen to once again make sure everyone was listening.
I nodded subconsciously and extended my hand out to give her a thumbs up, this leading to the two kids doing the same thing.
"You guys go do that, i'll go clean up the living room and get it ready for us." I informed the bunch before slipping out of the room and to the calm area that was the living room.
I sighed quietly and turned my attention to the TV, some movie I didn't know of was playing.
From what I gathered from Laurie and the kids, it was called "The Thing"?
I narrowed my eyes at the screen, trying to make sense of the television.
The sanitarium never had stuff like this.
And I don't remember ever actually being allowed to watch TV when I was younger and still had parents.
My mind began to drift, my thoughts bubbling up into a geyser of questions, only to return to their gated off corner when Laurie hurried into the room to speak with me.
"Hey!" She exclaimed, making her way towards me with a soft smile. I turned away from the television and looked to the younger girl, my eyes narrowed slightly, "hm?" I asked, now anticipating her response.
"I just wanted... To y'know... I wanted to thank you for helping out. You're a really good person Y/n." Laurie complimented, a hint of blush spreading across her pale cheeks as she clasped her hands together and swayed her hips nervously side to side.
I couldn't help but to smile, I was flattered to say the least.
...
But she's his sister.
The pleasant smile that sat across my face slowly faded away a quick moment later.
I glanced down at the ground and ran my fingers through my hair, "No, Laurie, it's fine. Trust me." I stated, trying to tone down the good energy that surrounded me. I felt guilty.

"And i'm not that good of a person." I scoffed, looking around the room with a cheeky grin, causing Laurie to giggle quietly.
"Alright I guess. Well, i'm gonna get back to cleaning those two rascals up. Do you want some popcorn?" The blonde asked, slowly inching back towards the kitchen.
I furrowed my eyebrows, thinking about it for a moment before shaking my head, now forcing another friendly smile onto my face, "No, I think i'll be fine. Thank you though."
With that, we both returned to our chores.
I cleaned up the couch and grabbed a small blanket that sat within one of the hallway closets and laid it across the top of the couch; my mind running wild as I did so.
Laurie was a such a good hearted individual.
And I was going to kill her?
I shook my head slowly to myself.
What a disappointing existence I was.
Why was I even doing this anymore?
Was there even a reasonable explanation for my awful plans?
I cleared my throat and lifted my hands to slowly rub my temples, attempting to rid myself of my stress.
Did I really have to do this?
...
Did I?
My heart skipped a beat, Laurie and the two children returning to the living room with a small bowl of popcorn.
"Oh! Just in time." I exclaimed, clapping my hands quietly, hiding my anxiety.
Laurie sent me a friendly smile and sat Tommy and Lindsey down on the couch, letting them get comfortable before gesturing for me to take my seat. "Go on. Sit down, there's only room for three." She explained, triggering me to violently shake my head.
"No! You sit. I can have the floor all to myself!" I fought back, determined to let Laurie have the most comfortable night she could before her untimely demise.
Laurie frowned, looking down at the comfortable seat for a moment before looking in my direction once again, "You sure your fine with that?" She asked, prodding to make sure I didn't back out of my statement.
I nodded quickly and waved my hands at her for her to sit down, so she did so with a grateful smile.
Once that was taken care of, I made my way behind the couch and to the window, where I pulled back the curtain a bit to take a look outside.
It was nearly pitch black, the only things I could see was the silhouettes of trees along the street, the road accompanying them. A few houses across the street could be made out, along with Lindsey's house just a few houses down and across the barren road.

The lights were on. My guess was that Annie had returned to the house with her boyfriend and were currently having some fun.
I closed my eyes slowly and tried to imagine it.
Bodies against each other, completely exposed, touching each other and feeling each others most sacred places.
I wonder how that felt, to be completely connected to your lover.
My heart fluttered, so I opened my eyes and shook my head, quickly stepping away from the window and returning to the couch and taking a seat just in front of it.
Movie time.
______
With a groan I plopped down onto the couch, now waiting for Laurie to return downstairs from putting Tommy and Lindsey to bed.
Pretty soon it would happen.
Pretty soon I would have to kill Laurie Strode.
Or Angel Myers?
I didn't really know what to think of her as at this point in time.
Not that it really mattered I don't think?
She'd die either way.
"Hey, Y/n?" I heard from the stairs, causing me to sit up and look in the direction of the stairway.
Laurie poked her head out from around the corner and smiled, tilting her head a bit and making her way towards me, brushing her clothes off in the process.
"So when do you wanna head back to your house? I don't know how long you anna stay..." Laurie explained, laughing under her breath, clearly not wanting to make me think she wanted me to leave.
I shrugged in return, "I have absolutely no idea. I figured we could hang out for a little bit now that those two are asleep." I suggested, running my finger along my dark tights that clung to my legs from beneath my dress.
Laurie bit her tongue, scratching the back of her neck and nodding slowly, "I mean I guess. If that's what you wanna do!" She agreed, a smile quickly forming across her face.
I smirked, grabbing the end of my dress and readjusting it a bit. "Sounds like a plan to me!" I exclaimed, quickly pushing myself to my feet.
"So what exactly do you wanna do?" Laurie asked, watching as I made my way to the kitchen, causing her to follow me curiously.
"Mm... Do you wanna just like- talk?" I asked, glancing over my shoulder at her, now standing at the kitchen counter and grabbing my small purse to unzip it and reach inside.
Laurie shrugged, her blonde hair bouncing against her shoulders, "So, after I left yesterday... Did you find anything new about Angel?" She questioned, curiosity flooding her eyes.
My heart sank for a moment when the tips of my fingers touched the blade of the knife I had brought to kill Laurie with.
My fingers slowly wrapped around it, but I didn't yet pull the blade out of my bag.
"Yeah, actually. You'd be surprised by all the stuff I found. It was shocking, really." I sighed.
"Did you find out where she is?" The teenager asked, perking up at the mention of new knowledge.
I was about to pull the knife out and turn to Laurie, but was interrupted when the ringing of the house phone sounded off from in the living room.
My heart sped up and I let out a heavy sigh. Stress over taking me.
I released the knife and followed Laurie as she hurried into the family room to answer the telephone.
I stared down at my feet, my black flats tapping the ground with each hesitant step I took.
Laurie picked up the phone, holding it to her ear and greeting the person on the other line.
"Lynda? Is that you?" Laurie asked, furrowing her brows, which in turn ended up confusing me.
'What is it?' I mouthed to the blonde teenager, cocking my head back in confusion.
Laurie shook her head at me and held her finger up. "Annie? First you call me to eat your food, now this? Annie? Lynda?" Laurie continued, growing increasingly concerned.
A silence soon consumed us, it was tense and worrisome.
"Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?" Laurie questioned, waiting in alarm for an answer.
A moment later she seemed to give up and hang up the phone.
She stood completely still for a moment before turning to me, "I wanna go check on them." She explained, peering out the window for a moment.
I nodded slowly, fidgeting with my fingers and chewing on my bottom lip.
"Yeah.. Yeah that's fine..." I whispered, "what happened?" I asked, adding on to my dialogue.
Laurie made her way swiftly past my frame and towards the front door, pulling it open soon after and holding it for me to go outside.
"I don't know. There was just- these noises and no one would answer me. Then it just kind of went quiet." She sighed nervously, stepping outside with me and pulling the door shut.
The two of us ambled towards the sidewalk and stared down the street at the house we planned on visiting.
Anxiety began rising up through my body once again.
