《Just A Secret (Dreamnotfound)》5

It was around 4:30 pm and I got a text from George,
'Hey, can I come over?'
'Yea, I wasn't doing much today lol,'
I smile, I get to see him again. A few minutes pass and I hear a knock on my door, I get up from my bed and go downstairs to answer the door.
"Hey, long time, no see."
"Hey Dream, it's good to see you."
"It's good to see you too,"
"How have you been?"
"Good, just been drinking a bunch of water from the karaoke night."
"Yeah, I'm just glad you're better now," George says leaning on the counter top.
"How have you been?"
"I've been good, just streaming and all that jazz."
I look up at him and I lock eyes with him. Something about his stare is so mesmerizing, something you can look at for hours. I break eye contact in embarrassment and then look outside.
"Hey look, it's snowing again."
"It is," He says in a annoyed tone.
"I wonder when it'll stop snowing soon."
"I dunno, I hope soon because I hate the cold," George says heading upstairs, I follow after him and he flops onto my bed as he usually does and stares at the ceiling. I lay next to him and we lay and didn't talk.
"George?" I turn my head to face him and so does he.
"Yeah?"
"What did I do when I was drunk?"
"Well, I first made sure you didn't slip and fall because it was very icy, then you thought that snowflakes were bugs and said that you needed to eat it to survive, and the last thing you said to me is that you love me."

"Anything else?" He pauses.
"No, just that and you were passed out in the car and I put you straight to bed, and I put food in Patches' food bowl then left."
"Gotcha,"
"Why?"
"Hm?"
"Why do you ask?"
Probably because there's a very high chance I confessed my love to you.
"No reason, I just had a feeling that I did something stupid."
"No, if I'm with you I would make sure you wouldn't do anything stupid."
"I'm so glad to have you George,"
"I'm glad to have you Dream,"
I look at him and he looks a bit bothered.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Dream, I'm going to be honest,"
"Honest about what?" I sit up and George does too.
"Sapnap and I are worried about you,"
"Why?"
"You haven't been the fun loving Dream we know, you seem, sad."
"Sad?"
"You always say you're tired, but something in the back of my head says that you're lying to me. Lying about how you feel." I was speechless, I honestly don't know how to respond. Out of all the things, the last thing I would do is hurt George even if it isn't intentional.
"I'm sorry," My voice says shakily.
"You don't need to apologize, I'm just worried about you."
"I don't want you to worry about me-"
"I know you don't, but I am."
I bite my lip and tears start to come to my eyes; I tried to make the tears not come out but it didn't work. George scoots closer to me and wraps his arms around me. I bury my face into his shoulder and he rests his chin onto my shoulder. I close my eyes and start to cry into his hoodie and he just hugs me. Even though he said I shouldn't apologize, I still feel like I hurt him, he doesn't need to worry about me. He squeezes me a bit tighter and it relaxed me a bit, I felt safe.

"I know I've said this many times before, but I always have your back. Whether you are drunk and need me to drive you home, you are out doing whatever and need to feed Patches, or just someone to talk too, I got you. I've always got your back. No matter the circumstances I will always be there for you." He wipes away a tear from my cheek then smiles.
"Thank you, I really appreciate it."
"Of course." He says in a soft tone, he brings me close and hugs me again.
I couldn't sleep, I felt guilty for some reason. He did say he'll always talk to me when I need it. I look at the time, 11:45 pm. I call George, it rings a few times and he answers.
"Hello?" George says tiredly
"Hey, sorry for calling so late," I say putting my arm behind my head to lie on.
"No, no, no. You're all good."
"I couldn't sleep,"
"Why not?" I paused.
"Long night,"
"I see, what do you want to talk about?"
"Everything George, everything."
