Ryan's P.O.V
I was sprawled out on the couch, relaxing for the first time since I arrived a few weeks ago.
The rogues and I got closer, Blake even connecting on a deeper level with some pack members, especially Edith.
I saw Edith as my second mom. She was like blood to me and I was thankful for her.
I was thankful for all of the rogues.
As I snuggled deeper into the cushions, my eyes closed, I started to doze off.
"Get her!", a high pitched voice yelled.
I felt a cold liquid hit me everywhere and I screamed in suprise.
I was up and my eyes were on the kids infront of me, all holding water guns.
"Run!", a little boy yelled.
I ran, picking one of the kids up and tossing him on the couch, tickling him.
Once he was out of breath, I snatched his water gun from him and sprayed him.
He screamed out his laughter and ran.
I followed the others, taking each child out, tickling them, and then spraying them with water.
Soon enough, it was a standoff between the oldest kid out of all of them.
Grayson. He was 14 years old and was kicked out of his pack for shifting early.
I had a water gun pistol I stole from one child tucking into my belt.
Grayson had one tucked into his belt.
We stared at one another, our eyes narrowing.
His hand twitched and we both went for the water guns at the same time. Grayson and I fired, hitting each other with water.
I went down. "He got me! He got me!", I yelled in anguish.
I hadn't even realized that all the rogues were watching us with amusement.
Grayson was also on the ground. "Save yourselves! Run!", he yelled to them, shoving them away from his form and holding the wet area on his stomach.

We both pretended to die, both with the same thing on our minds.
"Alpha? Grayson? Are you guys okay?", one boy asked.
I peeked over at Grayson and saw one of the little girls poking his cheek as a l it left boy did the same to me.
I sat up, grabbing the little boy.
"Brains. Brains", I groaned.
I proceeded to tickle him.
Over to my right where Grayson was at, I heard the same thing and then the little girl screaming.
I slowly got up, dragging my left foot behind me and trudging over to a giggling child.
"Food.", I grumbled, picking up the child and tossing him over my shoulder.
I watched with amusement as 2 kids held hands and then ran at Grayson, knocking his legs out from underneath him.
I broke character and laughed as Grayson looked up with dirt in his face and mouth.
Putting the little boy I had down, I helped Grayson up.
"That was a good move.", I praised the kids who did it.
"Thank you Alpha!", they both exclaimed, skipping away.
The rogues were all laughing and giggling.
"That was quite a show Ryan.", Edith committed, snickering to herself.
"I know, I know.", I replied, waving my hand.
Grayson just kept making spitting noises next to me, trying to get the dirt out of his mouth.
"Onto more pressing matters. Tomorrow, we start on the gym. I'm going to need some workout equipment if the group that normally does supply runs can go get me some.", I said.
Edith nodded. "We'll do it. It's no big deal."
"Thank you all so much. Now, I've been wanting to say something to all of you.
With each day that passed, you all grew on me. My wolf has deep connections with all of your wolves and I constantly feel the need to protect you guys, so I just want to say this.

I love you all and I'm so thankful for what you do around here and even if you're just here, I'm still thankful. You guys mean the world to me and you're my family.", I confessed, a tear rolling down my cheek.
Edith looked around and everybody gave nods to her.
"You're like family to us also, Ryan. We love you too hun.", Edith said.
They all moved to hug me, each giving me a cheek rub.
One lady in particular stopped and looked at me fondly.
Gloria.
"Thank you so much mi cielo.", she whispered to me.
I smiled fondly at the Spanish. My sky, she called me.
These rogues were mi cielo, and there were no limits to them.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
