Lily's P.O.V
It's been a week since the attack. Tommy's still pestering Sam about it. Eret has been missing a for a few days. I've gotten closer to Wilbur. I'm really starting to like him. I have noticed that Tommy and Britta would sneak into l'amanburg at certain points in the night. They would be carrying dark stones in a bucket and climb into the well. That would go on all night. I never told anyone, I just thought they were being normal teenagers.
I walk around for a little bit, I walk by Sam and Toby sitting outside the entrance of the walls. They seem happy, Toby is showing Sam how to hold a bee. She keeps pulling her arm back just before it lands on her. The bee retreats back Toby's hand. I keep walking.
Like the rest of the week, Tommy and Britta are nowhere to be found. But I'm not worried, they always come out eventually. And when they do they always have dark circles under their eyes. And Wilbur always makes them go sleep. They try to protest but eventually give up.
I take in the sights of L'Manberg as I walk. I have a feeling that today might be different then usual. 'Something big' I think. "Lily!" I hear a familiar voice call. I turn around to find a smiling Wilbur. "Hey! Did you find Britta and Tommy yet?" I ask. He nods his head tiredly. "Yes, I wonder what they are doing to cause the change in their energy." I nod and stick out a hand. "Walk with me?" He smirks and replies with a smooth, "of course"
Just then Sam and Toby come running up. They seem panicked when Toby yells for Wilbur. He turns around and cocks this head. "What's up Toby?" He asks. Toby starts looking around nervously. "Dream and the others. Their here" he stutters out. "They asked for everyone to meet him a the gate." He turns to me. "I want you to get the armor from the caravan" he then looks at the kids standing in front of him. "I want you to go get everyone else, I'll meet you at the gate" they nod and run off. Just as I step away Wilbur grabs my arm. "Be careful Lily, I don't want you to get hurt."

We all meet at the gate. Wilbur has us stand behind him in a canned out line. Sapnap, Dream and George were in front of us. "Independence, or death, if we get no revolution, we want nothing. We would rather die, than give in and join your nation." Wilbur says sternly. Dream takes a piece of TNT out of his bag. I grab Wilburs hand in fear. He gives it a light squeeze without looking back. "You can blow up one piece of TNT in our door all you want. It means nothing to us." Dream nods and lights up the explosive. "Get back, get back, don't let this thing hurt you" we all step back pretending to be brave.
What we didn't know is that Dream placed the rest underneath the floor. As the world crumbles down around us, I hear Tommy yell, "get to the bunker!" I looks at Wilbur, still holding his hand. he looks as confused as I am. We follow Tommy and Britta into the well. So this is what they were doing. We get into a small room and Tommy closes the door. "We're safe now, this is bomb proof." "When did you make this!?" We all yell simultaneously. A small smirk forms of Britta's face, "why do you think we're so tired?" Sam and I look at each other. We then burst out laughing. Everyone looks around confused, I think Britta gets it because he bends down to us and whispers. "Don't say it." We whisper back, "builds a bunker to make you blush" Britta facepalms and we laugh even harder.

We've been in here forever. Wilbur decided it was best if we waited them out. Some people around us is asleep. We honestly needed it. We've all been so worn out. Wilbur is in a corner of the room. His head is back on the wall, arm slung over his knee, the other leg sticking out from underneath him. He looks so young and vulnerable when he's asleep, it's like I forgot that he was only two years older than me and Sam. Fundy and Eret are up against a wall, softly whispering. Toby is holding his bee for dear life, poor kid. This is putting enough stress on him as it is. Sam is hugging him with her face buried in his shoulder. I made a mental promise to protect them in the future. Tommy and Britta are sitting next to each to each other, Britta is laying her head on his shoulder and Tommy has his on her head.

8 228Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
