The night made it so hard to find the right place to land. Using the lights from the house, Morrigan dove straight down. She crash-landed behind the Rambeau home in a crouched position. "Your directions were not clear at all," Morrigan yelled. "I had to make many detours before I recognised where I was." Brushing the dirt off her hands and knees, Morrigan took long strides to the back door where Fury stood, waiting with the door open for her. "I knew I should've listened to Maria."
"Hey now, at that moment, I was dealing with a blinding situation." Fury objected, motioning towards the cotton covering his left eye. "If I sent you East, my bad."
Morrigan's mouth was ajar, standing in the doorway, unable to believe the Flerken got his eye. "No wonder Talos said to not hold the Flerken — can you even see?" She winced as Fury touched his wound.
"Not sure. We will find out." Closing the backdoor, Fury began to walk away into the kitchen. "Now come on, everyone's just settling down." Everyone? She thought. Fury smirked, having read her thoughts exactly, "Yes, everyone."
Morrigan followed Fury out from the kitchen eagerly to the dining room. Monica and Talos's child were playing Uno on the steps of the stairs while their parents sat at the table. Talos and his partner kept a close eye on their daughter as Maria sat at the head of the table. Fury found his seat next to Maria and Carol. There was only one spot left.
"Auntie Morrigan!" Monica cried out in joy. The little Rambeau jumped to her feet before throwing her arms around the Queen. Morrigan looked down at her briefly before looking up to see everyone else staring. They wanted to do know what she would do. Morrigan wrapped her arms around the child gently. Monica bursting inside, knowing the Queen of Valyriate was giving her a hug. "Mom said you can fly. Carol didn't tell me you could fly." The girl whipped around, glaring playfully.

Rubbing her head, Morrigan grinned. "It's a super, super awesome power. I don't really tell anyone."
"I told you they could do more." Fury recalled the conversation they had about hours ago in the kitchen. "Ain't that right, Sparky?" Giving Carol a sly side-eye, Fury was thrilled with his nickname for her. She retaliated by sticking out her index finger and shocking Fury by the elbow. "Lordy!"
Bringing up a beaming smile, Carol sits back in her seat. "You're right about that, Joey." She winked at Morrigan.
"Oh!" Maria shot up from her seat. "Let me get you a drink." She waddles behind Talos and his partner as she kindly pats Monica on the head as her daughter returns to her game. "Come, follow me." Then, pointing back to the kitchen, Maria takes the Queen to go get a refreshment.
She didn't hesitate. "Sure."
Maria finds her fridge and swings open the door. "Would you like some beer? Uh — juice, apple juice? Or water?" The woman looked at the Queen oddly, seriously questioning what a being like her would drink. "Oil?" She jittered nervously, making Morrigan laugh and shake her head.
"I'm not entirely sure what you mean... the clear liquid you gave me before was good, but —" When they were here previously, Maria just gave out glasses and nibbles. Carol was the one who filled up Morrigan's cup. "— not sure if this correct in your language but, alk—co—hol?" Maria had to put her hand over her mouth to minimize the gigantic laugh wanting release. Ashamed by her pronunciation, Morrigan's cheeks flared up.
"Alcohol. You would like some alcohol." Morrigan curtly nodded, shying away. "You are something else — here, this is what you want." Maria picks up a cloth and uses it to twist off the cap. She places a beer in the Queen's hand as she giggled, leaving the kitchen. Maybe it would have an effect on her now.

The two return to the dining room. "I can't believe you were in the raddest dogfight ever," Carol exclaimed as the two sat down. Morrigan instinctively looked to Fury for some clarification; he stuck out his hands to symbolise a spacecraft. But, of course, she was talking about their time in the air fighting the Kree.
"I'd say you arrived just in time. I don't know where you went through," Maria said, talking to Morrigan.
Taking a sip of her drink, Morrigan arched a brow. "Hey now, you almost took me out." Maria nodded, knowing it was possible. Talos passed her a plate, and she began placing the already made food.
"That's some nifty flying you did out there today." Fury acknowledged. "S.H.I.E.L.D could always use a good pilot like you." Carol and Morrigan shared a look, knowing all too well Fury was serious and that Maria could join the agency.
"I'll consider it." She said plainly, leaving nothing to analyse if she meant no or yes. "As long as you don't call my flying nifty again." Fury agreed he wouldn't. "How's your eye?"
Fury faintly touches his eye. "Getting better every second." Both Talos and Morrigan scan around the table for the Flerken.
On the other hand, Carol was looking straight at Talos, dressed in some old hoodie and sweatpants. "Just so I'm clear, you were Soh—Lar and the S.H.I.E.L.D agent?"
"Keller!" Fury announced, pointing the finger at Talos, who sat there shrugging his shoulders. "Tied my boss up. Stole his identity."
Now he decided to defend his choices. "Now, I borrowed his likeness. I'm no thief."
"It's a little like a thief." His partner squeezed in, stating the obvious. The rest of the table laughed as Talos turned to her in shock.
"Whose side are you on?" She just shrugged at him
"Not the thievery side," Morrigan murmured before taking a swig from her beer. She cackled silently when Talos gave her the same look as his partner.
"You're good to go here till you recover, but you and your family are going to need a new look," Fury exclaimed, making it known once again they were still green aliens.
Talos edged forward in his seat. "I could go back to being your boss."
The agent scoffed and reached for his drink. "Please don't."
"Oh, c'mon." He pretended to sound offended. "I loved sporting his beautiful blue eyes." At the mention of blue eyes, Carol took a sneaky look at the Queen just to see them shimmer.
Monica heard this and immediately jumped in. "No way! You guys have the best eyes." The adults turned in their seats to watch the human girl uplift her new friend. Morrigan instantly noticed the Flerken perched there on an upper step. "Don't ever change your eyes."
The whole topic of the Skrulls having to change their identity to fit in didn't go down well with either Carol or Morrigan. The Queen loved the people of her planet because they lived their lives as who they are, not what they were told to be. No one should have to conceal the truth within them. The Skrulls needed a place to call home.
"I'll help you find a home," Carol said, keeping Morrigan out of it. The whole table died and turned their eyes to their hero. "I'll finish what Mar-Vell started." It made sense for Carol to complete the mission her mentor started. Now that the enemy had been dealt with, and the alliance has now been shattered, Morrigan had to go back home.
