deathly darkness
She was sucked out by a vacuum of force. Her eyes were clenched shut and had the most deadly grip on her sword. She let whatever hard surface collide into her and gritted her teeth through the agony. Rattled and thrown around, her body twirled out into space. The burning and churning of destroyed metal were deafening as Morrigan soared through the bombed hangar.
She only opened her eyes when everything became silent, and her body wasn't being thrown around by an external force. Scanning her surroundings, all that laid out before she was the never-ending sight of stars and planets cascaded around the Universe. Looking down, the massive blue, green sphere had two incoming vessels —the quad jet and Minn—Erva's drop—ship. Morrigan realised that Yon—Rogg was most likely still on the vessel. It would take him a couple of minutes to find the drop—ship. Behind her, the Kree vessel floating ajar as its lights danced on and off. Morrigan effortlessly slides her sword back into its sheathe, defeated and hopeless.
Her mind was racing with all of these thoughts. The question of if Carol was still alive. If Minn—Erva had managed to shoot down the escapees. The fury aimed at Yon—Rogg chucking her out the hangar. The unknown was too much. She was out here, floating amongst nothing while the real danger was going after her friends.
Morrigan was alone. She was alone in the cold void of space. No one was around. Nothing could see her. There was a threat looming over Midgard and its people, and she was stuck in space.
She was useless dangling amongst the stars as different races battled it out below. If she couldn't overcome this fight, how could she compete with what the future holds? Her planet would lose their Queen. Her daughter would lose her mother. Her friends would lose a companion. And she would lose the love of her life.
The inner imperium infused in her godly soul needed release. The overwhelming emotions building up inside her needed to be set free. If she was going to beat this challenge, she had to unleash the most secluded part of her divinity.
And she did.
The blood that coursed through her veins began to thrive granite. Her bones throttled about with such a glorious rage. This swirling conflagration immersed itself in her blood while quietus hardened her muscles. A mellow luminescence of vigour radiated from the pores of her skin that scathed through the holes in her suit. Her flowing hair allowed the power to surge from the roots to the tips. The verve of her strength infused itself into her eyes, enhancing her sight, alertness and peripheral capacity.
Feeling that her majestic transformation was complete, Morrigan examined her new exterior. Sure she felt unstoppable and had a ton of adrenaline and power in her body, but she saw no visible difference in the dark matter of space. "Hmm — I looked cooler last time." She exclaimed to herself. "Time to kick some Kree ass." She quipped as she watched the quad jet and Minn—Erva's drop—ship break through the atmosphere of Midgard.

Gathering as much force as she could muster, Morrigan exerted herself after the jet. Arms by her side, Morrigan tipped downwards through space and plummeted into Midgard's atmosphere. As she soured across the blue sky, a billowing of a deathly, charcoal cloud trailed behind her.
Her enhanced vision gave her the upper hand on quickly spotting the two vessels. Maria was twisting and swerving to miss each attack Minn—Erva made. The ships jetted across the Midgard desert as Morrigan loomed above, getting closer by the second.
Maria flew the jet into a huge crevice in the planet's desert plane. If Maria could turn the jet face on with Minn—Erva, she'd be able to blast that blue bitch up. Looking ahead, Morrigan noticed an area where the crevice splits into two and meets again in a roundish line.
Creating more energy, Morrigan used it to glide faster down. She dipped slightly to the left, edging in front of Minn—Erva's ship before going full out flying above the quad jet. She looked back briefly to see how far Minn—Erva was and back in front of her to see how far away the split was.
Slithering down the side of the jet, she came up beside the right window of the jet. Knocking on it hastily, she gave Fury a serious fright. The agent jumped back in his seat, terrified of the being banging on the window for his attention. It took a moment to realise the storm cloud being was the Queen. He then patted Maria's shoulder for her attention.
"Maria, you have to go left or right! There's no through path up ahead." Morrigan vigorously pointed at the nearing dead end. "When the time comes, use the big yellow button!" Fury and Rambeau glanced down at the controls to find one big, yellow button. "I'll make sure Minn—Erva gets to where we want her!" Maria gave her the okay. "Good luck! And don't die." She gave them the thumbs up before peeling away from the jet and flying side by side.
Fury had no clue what either woman was about to do but trusted them. However, he still could not get over how Morrigan looked, flying next to him at an extreme speed.
When the end came, Maria sneakily veered left into a tight passage that could tie around. Morrigan twisted her body to see that Minn—Erva was after her, and she was. Morrigan had to dodge and twirl around in the air, barely missing each shot the Kree took at her. The Queen had to swing her body up and down to avert two massive blasts as she leads Minn—Erva around.
When Morrigan and Maria rounded their respective corners, they flew at each other at full speed. "Oh my — you're going to hit her!" Fury screamed crazily, gripping the seat as Morrigan neared.
Maria cackled. "That blue bitch wishes." Morrigan locked eye contact with Maria and gave her a curt nod before shooting up vertically, leaving Minn—Erva exposed. Maria slammed her fist on the yellow button, unleashing two gigantic black blasts that blew up the drop—ship. Maria flew the plane through the smoke and began to ascend out from the crevice.

Morrigan pumped a fist. "Yes! I knew that'd work!" Morrigan meant both the plan and the little upgrade she put on the blasters back at the Rambeau's house.
The Queen soared up to be level with the jet. She loved seeing the passengers rejoice at their win. Maria and Fury displayed a heroic fist pump into the air. However their moment of celebration was imploded by the attack of Yon—Rogg.
His acute aim strikes the jet's wing, making it twist to the left. Morrigan shot up just in time to dodge the jet and watch as Yon—Rogg flew past her. "Asshole." She muttered as she twisted around before setting off after him. The Kree Commander was hot on Maria's heels, taking as many shots as he cold. When the Queen was going to level with the drop—ship, this hurling ball of light explodes from below, punching dead the dropship engine. "Ahh!" Morrigan yelled as the ball rocketed past her.
Morrigan stopped to watch as Carol flew up with her arms wide as she let her body tip backwards. Morrigan watched in awe as Carol came up in front of her. Carol had transformed into the same spark of power like she did when she broke free of the Supreme Intelligence. Only this time, her hair was shaped into a mohawk as Carol wore her helmet.
Gesturing to the Queen's new apparel, Carol was hooked on how cool she looked. "Why didn't you tell me you could do all of this?" She laughed.
"It's a super awesome power of mine I don't get to use a lot. I thought this was an appropriate scenario." This was the only time Morrigan had to look at herself. She rejoiced in looking down to see the magnitude of the radiating Death she was giving off.
Carol nodded. "Well, you are super awesome, even without the storm clouds for eyes and the black hair."
It was a unique exchange between them. It was literally light and darkness floating in Midgard's atmosphere. Morrigan was this mass of darkness while Carol shone like a never-ending flame. They were in their most powerful forms. Together they possessed undeniable strength, humility and love. They wanted to close the space between them, but the bombardment of incoming danger ruined the moment.
Carol turned around to look up. Three Kree vessels had light sped their way to Midgard, deploying many advanced warheads. Morrigan wanted to take them on with Carol and show everyone that no one could stop them as long as they were together, but she had to take care of something else first, and she knew Carol could handle this.
"Go, I'll make sure Yon—Rogg is down." It was a lame excuse. "Go." Carol's lip quivered as Morrigan encouraged her. "You got this Carol." Danvers smiled, sticking out a glowing fist. Morrigan stuck out her clouded fist, letting light and darkness touch one more time.
The two split up, darkness nosediving to the surface as light soared up to space. Yon—Rogg watched on nervously as the trail of Death made its way towards him. He wanted to reach for his weapon, but something held him back. By the time his nerves were shaken free, Morrigan was mere meters away from him.
"I—I thought you never did that cloud show anymore. You look better without it." Yon—Rogg spluttered, unsure of why she was even standing there.
Scrunching up her face in annoyance, Morrigan rubbed her hands together. "If you don't stop telling me what I look good in, I'll rip out your tongue."
Yon—Rogg stuck up his hands defensively, averting his eyes to her deadly ones. The sound of explosions from above caught their attention though. Morrigan smiled proudly to see Carol obliterate the deployed warheads and continue to exit the atmosphere. "Why do you encourage her to not control her powers?" He asked. "If she doesn't she —."
"What? What will she do if she can't express herself?" She sighed sarcastically. "To become her best self, she has to let everything go... and so do you." Yon—Rogg's eyes light up with confusion. The Queen takes a few steps up to him, placing each hand on either side of his face. Her blue eyes peered in his yellow orbs. Letting a darkness brew in his pupils, she began to instil fear in the Kree. "You will let go of every memory you have of me coming to Midgard, helping Vers, harming Kree and saving the Skrulls. You will not speak my name or mention my planet to the Supreme Intelligence. You will not alert the Titan of my involvement. You will not make it known I was in possession of the Space Stone." Leaning away from him, Morrigan loved seeing him succumb to her prowess. "You do anything to jeopardise Valyriate, I will slaughter you, and no one will be able to save you."
As Carol Danvers destroyed the Kree fleet from above, Morrigan secured the fate of her planet if Yon—Rogg was to expose her. She let Yon—Rogg's mind become accustomed to the Queen's fear and walked away. She radioed the jet. "Where are you guys?"
There was a bit of shuffling on their end. "On our way back to mine," Maria answered just as a yelp of Fury was heard. "Oh my —."
"Fine. I'll meet you back there. Carol might be a while, as she's got some unfinished business to do." Morrigan looked back at the dazed Kree, thankful she was done with him. "I'm glad you guys are okay. See you soon." She ended the call. Igniting the darkness within her, Morrigan's body lifted off the floor. Gazing back up to where the spark in her life kicked ass. "Hope she remembers he's still down here."

Gods How I Hate Nature
While there are always choices in life, lately they’ve all tended to skew between bad, terrible, and suicidal. Tome finds himself typically choosing the latter. As if people and plants consistently trying to kill him wasn’t bad enough, he finds himself sent off to a Mage Spire along with a self-righteous other worlder (as though there were any other kind). Add to this some powerful figures in black, a sadistic instructor, an uptight law keeper, and Tome just wants to go back to his room, down a pint, and forget about everything… But, when someone starts a fight, especially someone bigger and stronger, you bide your time and strength. Before you can get revenge, you have to settle for surviving and slowly gaining power. That means accepting the most suicidal choices, doing the jobs no one else will do, always smiling, and not slitting that other worlder’s throat… (The story will incorporate comedy, but it will be a dark story. This won't be a happy, uplifting tale, but it also won't be too morose or depressing. Though if you're rooting for the other worlders, then I suppose it will be...)

The White Rabbit: Book 2
In the Urillian Empire, the Empress Xandra rules three-quarters of the planet Xren from her home in the capital of the Earth Continent. Both the fire and water peoples have fallen under her might after a series of wars stretching back three centuries. Earth elves, under Xandra's rule, have spread throughout the planet and established colonies, and are, by all accounts, enjoying what seems to be a prosperous and happy existence. But not everyone in Uril is happy. The holy books speak of elves as the Chosen People of Thesis, tasked with guiding and protecting the lower races. For some people, this scripture has been interpreted to designate their life as one on the lowest rungs of society. Humans have been reduced to a slave class, and serve their elven masters under Xandra's rule, kept at bay by the constant fear of the dreaded Emerald Knight, and their own perceived weakness. Humans do not lead long lives, nor do they possess the wisdom, power, or magical acumen of their elven masters. But there is hope. A group of people have banded together to fight against Xandra, her Knight, and her empire. They call themselves the "Knights of Order" united under the principle idea that Xandra's reign has brought chaos unto Xren, and they wish to restore order. These Knights are led by a man named Xaxac Brigaddon, spoken of as a legend. They say that when the moons are full, some humans transform into powerful beasts. They say that Xaxac is the most powerful warrior on Xren, that in his youth he was enslaved and forced to fight other humans to the death in a bloodsport called "cage fighting", that he could not be touched and held the world championship title for three years running until he faked his own death and escaped his master to join the resistance. They say that he has friends in high places- noblemen, pirates, and the devil himself. They say that if you can find him, he can ferry you to freedom in places where the Earth Elves fear to tread. They say that he is immune to magical attack, and his eyes shine like the silver moon. They say that he is descended from Quizlivian Brigaddon, one of the humans who helped the demon Magnus escape a god. They say that if you want to walk the Path of Order, you should follow the White Rabbit.Come and watch the transformation from human boy to Knight of Order: The life and times of Xaxac OfAgalon OfLangil Brigaddon. Content Warning: This work is based on the real experiences of human trafficing survivors. Xaxac's origins are based on true events, and they are presented realisitcally; this includes but is not limited to: isolation, gaslighting, emotional and sexual abuse, and grooming tactics. This work is meant to hold a mirror up to society; it is based on the real of experiences of people who have experienced slavery and/or abuse. It is an adult work and probably should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. If you are a survivor of human trafficing and/or abuse, your feedback is welcome, but please do not read this if you think it may trigger your trauma. I did not write this with the intention of harming anyone, but rather to provide accurate representation for a group that does not normally get it in the hopes of changing the zeitgeist. I would like to see a world where more people understand what these experiences are like, so that real survivors do not have to deal with microagressions from an ignorant public. Reader discretion is advised. This book does not display these elements as heavily as book 1.
