kree invasion
Stalking out from the opened doors, the Kree's elite squad appeared. "Fraternizing with the enemy." All eyes were pinned on Starforce. Each member had their selective weapon out. The Skrulls jumped back in fright as Carol tightened her fist and Fury unholstered his gun.
Morrigan saw her slip around the Skrulls and didn't both touch her sword. But, of course, if she did, they'd know she had a weapon. "Uh—uh." Minn—Erva had her gun poised at Fury. The agent reluctantly slipped the gun back.
Yon—Rogg walked away from the group and threw his hand forward. Goose sprung from it and landed near the Skrull child. Talos shielded his family as Yon—Rogg turned to face Carol. He either didn't see the Queen or just ignored her presence.
"What did you do to your uniform?" He sounded so exhausted and disappointed with Carol. He disliked the change so much. She wasn't wearing what he wanted her to wear on her body.
"They got in her head. Just like we thought." Minn—Erva stated, her finger on the trigger. Morrigan watched as the sniper aimed at Carol and how her finger quivered around the trigger.
"The Supreme Intelligence will set her straight." Korath the Accuser growled. The Queen had to resist the urge to roll her eyes at the mention of the Kree's leader.
"You can see they're not soldiers!" Talos said. Starforce knew that. "Let them go. You can have me." Talos murmured. Maria and Morrigan glanced at each other worryingly.
"The core?" It was like Yon—Rogg didn't even hear his surrender.
"You lied to me." Carol seethed, shaking her head as the anger and sadness fueled her fists.
"I made you a better version of yourself." Yon—Rogg retorted, trying to redeem Carol back to the Kree controlled Vers. Her fists began to glow but faltered as if they were spluttering. "What's given can be taken away." His voice was content. He enjoyed the control he had over her.

Something in her clicked. Morrigan watched as determination and strength became infused in her face. Her body was ignited with power and adrenaline that was formed from the basic anger in her stomach. With Minn—Erva's sniper aimed, she would have Morrigan in a heartbeat.
Carol lurched at Yon—Rogg with loud roar and clenched fists. However, her wide swing left her vulnerable to the left. Yon—Rogg swung his arm around, bashing her to the floor. A groan left her lips, and Morrigan's heart began to race. She was seriously contemplating leaving her place to help her, even if Minn—Erva takes her shot.
All watched as Yon—Rogg turned on his gravity holding weapon. As it glowed its signature Kree's green, he aimed it at Carol's head. She didn't even have a chance to look him in the eye before she got her. The whirling of the weapon filled the room as Yon—Rogg stepped closer to her. Carol couldn't muster the strength to overcome the force implemented on her body.
At that moment, Starforce began shoving the Skrulls into a group. She watched as Maria and Fury were pushed to the ground, and the Tesseract was comprised. Morrigan and Carol held each other's eyes as Minn—Erva came up to the Queen. The sniper might've had the upper hand, but she feared the Queen. "Touch me, you die." She said bluntly, with her eyes only on Carol. Starforce understood instantly the Queen was serious, so Minn—Erva kept her gun aimed at the Queen's head.
When Yon—Rogg knocked Carol unconscious, all Morrigan wanted to do was run to her and get her back up. She couldn't take all of them on while the Skrulls were vulnerable. She could use fear. She could use the Root. She could use so many of her strengths, but so many lives were at stake. She couldn't risk it.

Starforce split up. A few average Kree soldiers took management of the Skrulls and humans while Starforce moved Carol to a communications room meant to connect with the Kree's leader. "The Queen comes with me." Yon—Roger ordered, letting Minn—Erva go with the Skrulls. "You do anything. She gets hurt." The Commander obviously noticed the connection between the two.
Yon—Rogg had managed to slip on Kree handcuffs without touching her, of course. He knew she wouldn't go back on her word. "That sounds like a serious threat, Commander. I just don't think you're man enough to do it." Her eyes swayed from side to side as Carol's hair did. Bron—Char, a blue bulky soldier with white hair, had hauled Carol over his shoulder. Her hair dangled flawlessly against the soldier's bareback. Carol would've loved to hear that exchange.
His yellow eyes were vengeful as he looked at her. He didn't say anything when they arrived in the room. It was quaint and had many hexagonal mats out. The big soldier sat Carol upright. Morrigan watched in horror as a worm—like tentacles sprouted from the mat and enveloped her. They shone a green once a while as they attached. They sleuthed up and down her body and stuck to her head. Carol was fidgeting and squirming as the Supreme Intelligence slipped into her mind.
Yon—Rogg put down the metal box on a ledge and Morrigan next to it and him. Starforce watched intently as Carol succumbed to the Kree intelligence. "I thought you were smart enough to stay on the winning side, my Queen." He completely disregarded what she'd said.
"Oh, but I am." She said smugly. "And it's also the good side." Morrigan looked at Yon—Rogg dumbly. "You know how much I love doing good things to help the good side win." That was a jab in the tender part of the heart. She thought was doing a good thing to help the good side win. Obviously, she was doing a good thing to help the bad side win. "You do know, don't you? You know all of the resources, the time, the technology, the support, the food, the energy and the commitment I —"
"Shut up." Yon—Rogg snarled, flared up from the truth.
Licking her lips, Morrigan turned her body to him. "Make me." She snapped. Yon—Rogg was about to react when suddenly, an orange glow began to brew at the tip of Carol's fingers.
