She squeezed her eyes shut tightly as she threw her head back and she bit down on her lower lip as she glanced around herself for a few seconds before her eyes landed on the spirit that had found itself in her room. Poppy stared at her for a few seconds and she clenched her jaw. She could hear the sound of the spirit speaking to her for a few moments and she wished that she would've been able to push the voices out of her mind.
The dead had been kind and had left her alone for a few months at a time, but the longer that they had left her alone, the more that she thought that they would build up and pile on. She felt as if they were going to grow closer and closer to her. Poppy had been followed by the dead ever since the accident and she knew that they were going to do whatever it was that they could to make sure that they could have their voices heard. The dark-haired woman clenched her jaw for a few seconds as she stared at her for a few seconds before she pushed herself to her feet and made her way out of her room.
Poppy knew that one of the best ways to get out of the wavelengths of the ghosts was to workout and get her mind onto different things. She pushed her way through the many corridors of the facility and toward the gym in the facility and as soon as she was in the room she wrapped her fists and she was quick to start unleashing punch after punch against the punching bag. And as soon as another ghost made their way into the gym, she was quick to throw another punch into the bag. She clenched her jaw as she slammed her fist over and over again as she continued to hit the bag and she knew that it wouldn't be too long before the ghost would return to the room around her.

Her dark hair began to stick to the back of her neck as she began to sweat and she brushed her hand against her forehead. She glanced around herself as she looked around the room she was in, and that was when she saw the other ghost. She pressed her lips together as she stared at the ghost and she wondered what it was that they were doing as they stared at the woman in front of her and Poppy pressed her lips together. Poppy knew that the ghost was going to do whatever it was that they could to get heard by her, and she wanted to ignore them. She couldn't help them, she just couldn't.
The woman didn't know how it was that she could to help her. She didn't know how it was that she could to help any of the ghosts that found their way to her, no matter what it was that they did. Poppy let out a heavy sigh as she took a step back from the punching bag and she stared at the ghost in front of her and she tilted her head to the side. She watched as the ghost began to approach her and she didn't know what it was that they wanted to say to her. She didn't know what it was that they wanted to say to her.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Why are you here?" Poppy questioned the ghost in front of her as she stared at her.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The ghost stared at her for a few seconds and she tilted her head to the side for her, "We just want you to help us. We just want you to listen to us." The ghost pressed her lips together as the two of them looked at each other for a few seconds before the ghost reached forward, but their hand fell through her.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "How can I help you by just listening to you?" Poppy questioned as she tilted her head to the side as she looked at the ghost in front of her, shaking her head lightly. "I thought that the spirits would want something else out of me."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The ghost shook her head at her and gave her a small smile at her, "The spirits are lonely on the other side of life, and all they need is for their voices to be heard," the ghost said as she stared at Poppy and the woman just stared at her for a few seconds. Poppy didn't know what it was that was going on around her and Poppy gave her a small smile as she stared at her before she nodded her head as she stared at her.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "If that's all that the ghosts need from me, then I'm here to listen," Poppy spoke to her, and she watched as the ghost in front of her began to smile.
That was when the ghost in front of her began to talk to her about whatever it was that she could to make sure that the ghosts knew that their voices were heard. She didn't know what else that they were going to need from her, but she was going to do whatever it was that she could to make sure that they felt as if that they were heard. She didn't know what it was that was going on around them. She didn't know what it was that was going on on the other side, but she hoped that with her talking to them, that would help them find a way to move on.
That they would be able to find a way to find peace and live out the rest of their afterlife peacefully. because that was all that she would ever want for those around her. Because that was all she wanted for those that she cared about, as well as herself.

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

8 341Emancipation - An Isekai Story
When they tell you 'a hero was summoned'. Do they expound on what it takes to truly be moved? Does it make sense to rip a hole within reality into another dimension, to a planet billions of galaxies away, and accurately transport a single person(s)? No, well truth be told, it takes a whole lot to summon anyone so far away, maybe it might take an attempt in summoning of a Dark God, to transport him. Then again they never tell you about what it means to travel between Dark Matter. Or what horrors exist there. Cover by Red Bluebery! I am a new writer, I am trying to find my style of writing.
