She felt as if she was still very repetitious with her thoughts about Carol Danvers, and she wondered if there were things that needed to be done. She wondered if it was concerning how much she thought about the woman that she had been so focused on since she had left, but it had been years since the woman had left. Poppy knew that she had been affected by the cosmic woman and that she would've done whatever it was that she could in order to be with the woman that had gone off to help the Skrulls from the Kree, but she wished that she would've been able to help her with anything that it was that she could.
Poppy found herself lying in bed as she stared up at the ceiling above her before a heavy sigh left her lips and she glanced over toward her desk in the room. The woman threw the covers off of her chest and she made her way over toward the desk and she stared down at the top drawer and she pulled out the device that the woman had crafted for her,s something that Carol had given to her to use in order for the two of them to use if they wanted to talk. Poppy clenched her jaw as she stared down at the device, and she knew that it would only work every so often, and for only so long.
But she had to try to use it, she just had to try.
A heavy sigh left her lips as she grabbed onto the device and she made her way out onto the balcony that connected to her bedroom and she sat outside as she held onto the device. Poppy stared down at the screen for a few seconds as she pressed the button for a few seconds before she listened as it began to go off in attempts to connect with Carol as she sat out on her balcony. Of course, she didn't know what time it was for the woman on the planet that she was on, and she hoped that the woman was awake and that she wasn't waking her up.

And just when she thought that the woman wasn't going to answer, the connection was made and Carol's face appeared.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I was wondering when I was going to get a call from you," Carol spoke as she stared at the other woman through the projection, and Poppy gave her a smile. The two of them stared at each other for a few seconds, and Poppy's smile grew as she stared at her, and Carol shook her head. "What's up? How's everything going on Earth?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Everything's going well . . . Nick is the man in charge and he's still doing a very good job at telling everyone what to do and I'm taking good care of Goose," Poppy replied to her, and that brought a large smile to Carol's lips as she stared at the woman. The two of them continued to stare at each other for a few seconds before Poppy let out a sigh. "How is everything with the Skrulls?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A heavy sigh left her lips as she stared at the woman in front of her, "It's been difficult, but I think that I've been making progress with it all. The Kree aren't standing down from being the horrible people that they are, but I think that I'm going to be able to find a home for them," Poppy nodded her head as she stared at the blonde-haired woman, before she tilted her head to the side. "What time is it there for you? it has to be late."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Poppy glanced over her shoulder to the alarm clock on her nightstand and she let out a sigh, "Around three o'clock," she answered and Carol pressed her lips together as she stared at her and Poppy shrugged her shoulders as she stared at her for a few seconds. "I know, I know, I should be asleep, but I couldn't. I do wish that we would be able to talk more often."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I do, too," Carol replied to her as she gave her a small smile before Carol snapped her head over her shoulder to answer someone that had entered the room. Poppy could tell that there was something that was bothering Carol, but the blonde let out a heavy sigh as she glanced back over to the other woman. "I have to go, there's something that I have to fix, but I promise I'll figure out a way that the two of us can find a better way to talk . . . and hopefully, find a way to meet up again. I'd love to talk face to face again."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I would, too,"
Poppy sat on her balcony for a few seconds as she stared down at the device and she pressed her lips together for a few seconds before she tilted her head against the wall. Her eyes glanced up to the sky and she stared up at the moon for a few seconds and wondered where it was in the universe that Carol Danvers was. She wanted to know where it was that she was and how it was that the two of them would've been able to see each other again.
But she knew that their lives were so much more different than they had been when they had first met. They were no longer the pilots they were when they were in the air force and they were now living lives, that neither of them would've ever thought that they would ever be living now. Poppy just wished that she would've been able to say some things to Carol before the woman had left to help the Skrulls.
Though that was just the way things were, and she was going to have to wait and see how they were going to pull through all of the complications of their relationship.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5
