The demigod received a text from Apollo.
A- What are you up to?
Percy typed back a response, informing him of the ball she was attending.
Thalia commented from beside her. "Who are you texting?"
Nico, Will, Thalia, Annabeth, and Reyna were at her house. They were 'prepping for the ball.' Although, most of them were just eating snacks.
"Apollo." The raven haired beauty replied as she sipped her drink.
Klaus had left her house before the group arrived.
A few minutes later, the sun god sent her another text. "Dite wants to send you something."
Before Percy could respond, a white box appeared on a table nearby.
The sea green eyed girl got up from her seat and approached the box. Warily, she glanced at her friends. "Do you think it's a glitter bomb?"
Nico laughed, but moved farther away from the box.
"Who sent it?" Will asked.
"Apollo said Aphordite wanted to send me something." She further examined the box. "But Hermes sent it over." There was a small note saying '-Hermes Delivery.'
Reyna spoke up, "Then, it's probably a glitter bomb."
Percy narrowed her eyes at the box, as if threatening it to explode sparkly minuscule pieces. Carefully, she removed the lid.
Her eyes widened when she saw what was inside. "Wow."
"What is it?" Annabeth asked curiously as she walked up beside Percy.
The raven haired beauty removed the article of clothing from the box. A satiny deep pine green dress with a v-neck was revealed. The dress was long and the gown reached the floor when she held it. "Dang." Percy commented. It was dark and had blue undertones.
"It's pretty." Thalia commented as she ate a handful of chips.
Yeah.

The group of friends approached the Mikaelson house, looking like absolute models.
Nico was wearing an all black tuxedo with a black dress shirt. Walking beside him, was Will who wore a gray suit.
Annabeth had a fancy jumpsuit and a beautiful dress adorned Reyna. Thalia had a blue suit that fit her perfectly.
The daughter of Athena admired the architecture of the mansion. "It's beautiful." There was a grand entrance at the center, where the door was. Large windows were set up across the front of the house, along with a balcony located above the entrance. There were arches along the front wall and tall trees decorating the front yard. The two trees residing on both sides of the front door had fairy lights wrapped around them, which made the home seem more welcoming.
When they entered the mansion, sounds of music filled their ears. An orchestra played string instruments across the room.
"Fancy." Nico commented.
Thalia nodded. "Do you think they have any good food?"
The sea green eyed girl nodded in response.
"They better." Reyna remarked.
The group dispersed. Nico walked towards a secluded corner, with Will following.
Reyna and Thalia went to explore and find food.
Annabeth and Percy walked around together. The raven haired beauty locked eyes with Klaus from across the room.
The daughter of Athena looked back and forth between the pair. "Why are you looking at that guy?"
Percy broke eye contact as she turned to her friend. "Hm?"
Annabeth smiled in amusement. "I was asking who that guy is."
The daughter of the sea took a second to process what she was saying. "Oh, that's Nik."
The hybrid appeared next to Percy. "Hello, love." He said with a devilish smirk.
Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "Love?"

"He calls everyone 'love.'" Percy explained.
Klaus smirked, "But I am her date to this event."
Annabeth looked back and forth between the two as she tried not to laugh. "Interesting." She glanced at the hybrid. "I'm Annabeth."
"Klaus. It's a pleasure to meet you." His dimples appeared as he gently wrapped his arm around Percy's waist.
"It's nice to meet you too." Annabeth then gave the raven haired beauty a look that said, 'We'll be talking later.' Stepping back, she spoke with a smile, "I'm gonna go find Thalia and Reyna."
Percy's eyes widened. "Don't tell Thalia."
The daughter of Athena chuckled as she turned away.
"Annabeth!"
The blonde glanced back with a mischievous smile. "I'm sure he'll be fine."
Oh gods.
"She still has hope that I'll join the hunt."
Annabeth laughed. "Have fun on your date." She walked away in search of the hunter of Artemis.
Klaus was confused. "What's the hunt? And who's Thalia?"
"It's a group of hunters for Artemis. They gain eternal youth when they swear off romantic relationships." She said as she returned her attention back to the original hybrid.
His eyes found hers. "And you're joining?"
Percy laughed. "No."
He looked relieved. But, the expression didn't last long. "Is the Thalia person gonna attack me for being with you?"
The demigod chuckled. "Nah."
Well...Maybe.
She changed the topic. "Wanna dance?" Percy asked with a cute smile.
••••••••••••
Klaus approached the sea green eyed demigod who was munching on food at the snack table. "Elijah wishes for the family to gather on the staircase."
The raven haired beauty looked up at him. "Okay."
He continued, "I wanted to know if you would go with me?"
For some reason, it felt like her heart softened and her soul smiled just a little bit.
But she wouldn't voice that.
"You said it was a family thing. I wouldn't want to intrude." Percy shook her head.
Klaus disagreed. "I like having you by my side. Besides," a devilish smirk appeared across his features, "You are my date."
The demigod playfully rolled her eyes as her lips formed a small smile. "Fine."
The hybrid grinned and held out his arm. Percy put her arm through his, and they walked towards the steps that overlooked the room.
Once the pair stood on the staircase, Elijah addressed the guests. "Uh, if everyone could gather, please."
Everyone's attention turned to the original as he continued speaking. "Welcome. Thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance. Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz. So, if all of you could find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom."
Klaus immediately turned his attention to the raven haired beauty. "May I have this dance, love?" He questioned as he held his hand out.
The corners of her lips went up and she nodded. "Yes."
They arrived at the ballroom. The sea green eyed girl glanced over at him with a small smile. "You know, I don't actually know how to do the waltz."
"That's fine, love." Klaus sent her a grin back. "We can make up our own steps."
They began dancing around the room like everyone else. It seemed like all of the other pairs in the room knew the waltz. Percy, however, had no idea what she was doing. The demigod looked up at him with her bright green eyes and a playful smile. "Do you wanna compete to see who can mess up the dance more?"

He raised an eyebrow in amusement. "On purpose?"
She nodded with a grin.
Klaus pretended to think about question. Then, he spun her around, before bringing her back to him, causing the demigod to laugh softly.
Percy then did a dance move that resembled the tango.
The two continued making up their own dance. If anyone else tried to do what they were doing, then there would be complete and utter chaos; Couples would crash into each other on the dance floor. Although, Klaus and Percy were incredibly swift and graceful. They easily responded to the other's lead and dodged the other dancers.
Klaus placed his hands on her waist and spun her in the air. The raven haired beauty laughed as they continued dancing.
People in the room were staring at the pair as they blatantly refused to do the classic waltz.
Their movements were mesmerizing to anyone watching. Even the other people dancing got distracted.
Despite the goofiness of the dance moves, they held themselves with such elegance. The way they maneuvered themselves across the dance floor was otherworldly.
Their eyes stayed trained on each other's throughout the entirety of the dance. When they eventually came to a stop, their gaze lingered on each other.
"That was fun." Percy commented.
The hybrid looked at her in awe. "Yeah."
"It was."
••••••••••
Percy wandered up the staircase, to get away from the party for a little while. She walked down a hallway, but paused in her steps. The demigod spotted the doppelgänger enter a room up ahead.
That's suspicious.
Percy got close to the door and put her ear against it. She couldn't hear anything.
The sea green eyed girl scanned the hallway. It was completely empty.
She closed her eyes and concentrated on her body. The demigod thought of a spot a few feet away from her. She felt a weird sensation across her body.
She vapor traveled to the other side of the hallway. Opening her eyes, Percy realized it worked.
I did it!
The demigod glanced back at the door that Elena walked through.
Pulling the mist around her, to conceal her appearance, she focused again.
She opened her eyes to see a room lit by candles and one small lamp. Elena and Esther were talking with each other.
Manipulating the mist allowed her to be invisible to the two in the room.
The original witch was speaking. "-My children believe I'm holding this ball to celebrate our reunion. But in truth, I've gathered them here together to perform a ritual."
Uh oh.
"The first step requires the blood of the doppelgänger. Only a drop. It's essence will be in the champagne toast later on this evening." She glanced at the doe eyed girl. "Will you do it? Or shall I?"
Elena stepped forward and held out her hand.
Esther pricked the doppelgänger's finger with a sharp object.
This really is like a Disney movie. Sleeping beauty? More like, Evil doppelgänger.
Oh! And the wicked witch of the west.
The witch squeezed Elena's finger over a chalice. "Elijah is more suspicious than the others, so he may need more persuasion, but they must all drink at the toast in order to be linked as one."
"What do you mean 'linked as one?'" Elena asked.
Esther replied. "You said it yourself, Klaus can't be killed."
Percy's fists clenched as she focused on controlling her emotions. When her emotions got the best of her, bad things happened, like accidentally causing an earthquake or exploding a pool.
The original witch answered the doppelgänger. "But tonight's spell links all of my children together so that if one goes, they all go."
Schist.
Percy closed her eyes again and imagined the outside of the hallway.
The demigod stopped controlling the mist around her and made her way back down the direction she came from.
If only she stayed a few minutes longer, she would've learned that Elena and Esther weren't only attempting to hurt the Mikaelsons.
They wanted to hurt her too.
The raven haired beauty walked down the steps quickly, and scanned the room for the Mikaelson siblings.
"Schist." She cursed when she didn't see any of them.
She pulled out her phone and tried texting the originals.
"You alright, love?" The hybrid asked in concern as he appeared in front of her. He could hear how fast her heart was beating.
The sea green eyed girl glanced up. "We need to find your siblings."
He could see the seriousness on her face. "Why?" Klaus looked back and forth between each of her eyes.
"Right now." The demigod spoke as she grabbed his hand. She spotted Annabeth talking with Elijah and Rebekah on the other side of the room.
Percy sped up her pace and approached the trio. "We need to talk. It's urgent."
Annabeth glanced at her best friend. She could immediately tell Percy was stressed.
"Each of us?" Elijah questioned.
The demigod nodded.
The siblings glanced at each other, before following Percy toward the kitchen. They passed by Kol on the way out, and the raven haired beauty grabbed his arm with her other hand.
"Woah. Calm down, darling." He said with an amused smile.
The daughter of the sea continued walking and the group followed her out the back door. The demigod let go of her grip on Kol.
"Percy, what's wrong?" Annabeth questioned.
The demigod took a deep breath. "There's gonna be a champagne toast soon, and none of you can drink it."
Kol's eyebrows furrowed. "You brought us here to tell us not to drink alcohol?"
The raven haired beauty shook her head. "Esther did something to the drinks and-" Percy glanced back at the house, worried someone could be listening in. "We have to get back inside before someone realizes all the hosts are missing." She returned her attention back to the Mikaelsons. "But don't drink the champagne."
"Are you sure what you're saying is true?" Rebekah questioned.
Percy nodded. "Yes."
Klaus scoffed. "Why don't we just kill the bloody witch before she can do anything?"
"Well, brother, our home is full of innocent people. If Mother, is truly trying anything ill mannered, we have to come up with a plan." Elijah spoke.
Annabeth and Percy locked eyes.
Well, I guess it's a good thing, we have the child of Athena with us.
-
They formulated a quick plan. The group would wait until after the dance was over to confront her. The demigods and the originals would stay behind.
Percy was supposed to try to make a distraction when the champagne toast started.
The Mikaelson siblings (mainly Klaus) still wanted to try taking Esther down before the toast, but they knew that rash decisions could backfire on them.
The group returned to the event and they dispersed, as to not draw attention to themselves.
Some people were back to slow dancing. The raven haired beauty spotted Will and Nico dancing among the pairs.
Aw.
The sound of a utensil hitting a glass was heard from the staircase. Esther spoke, "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Waiters are coming around with champagne."
Klaus's hand intertwined with the demigod's again.
"I invite you all to join me in raising a glass." Waiters walked by with trays and handed out glasses of champagne to people.
When a waiter approached the pair, the hybrid narrowed his eyes at the guy. Percy squeezed his hand, and took a glass from the tray. Klaus grudgingly did the same.
Alcohol is gross.
"It provides me with no greater joy, then to see my family back together as one." Klaus's jaw tightened and he squeezed the demigod's hand. She squeezed back, in an attempt to comfort him. Esther continued, "I'd like to thank you all for being apart of this spectacular evening." She raised her glass in the air. "Cheers."
The original witch made direct eye contact with Percy. Esther's eyes narrowed when the demigod didn't drink from her glass.
The raven haired beauty met her gaze defiantly.
A small rage filled the demigod and the stress from earlier began to seep in. The emotions broke through, causing her glass of champagne to explode.
Several people around her glanced over.
Shards of glass impaled her hand, causing warm blood to drip down her fingers. Klaus looked at her in concern and stepped in front of her. "Percy." He whispered softly.
The sea green eyed girl tried to look back at Esther, but the witch was gone.
Klaus took her other hand and led her to the bathroom. They weaved their way through the crowd.
Once they entered the fancy restroom, the original closed the door. He led her to the sink and turned the water on.
Klaus glanced up at her. "We have to take the glass out."
Percy sent him a small smile. "Nik. It's just glass. It's not a big deal."
He shook his head and looked back down at her hand. The hybrid tenderly removed the pieces of glass from her palm.
The demigod had faced much worse than a few pieces of glass. She didn't even flinch.
Percy directed her gaze to Klaus. The look of concern didn't leave his face as he gently brought her hand underneath the faucet. Water fell into her palm, instantly healing the small wounds.
The daughter of the sea turned off the faucet. Klaus kept his eyes on her hands, the worried look not leaving his face.
Percy noticed and used one of her hands to tilt his chin up.
When their eyes met, the demigod whispered. "It's okay."
He looked deep into her irises and took a deep breath.
The green eyed being kissed his cheek.
A knock sounded from the door. Percy's head turned towards it. "Someone's in here."
"We know. Bloody hell." The voice of Rebekah replied.
The demigod walked over and opened it. Kol, Elijah, and Rebekah entered the room.
Percy chuckled. "Are we moving the party to the bathroom?"
Kol smirked. "Sounds fun."
"Shut it, Kol." Rebekah spoke.
Elijah glanced at the demigod. "What happened?"
"Which part? The glass exploding? Things explode when I get emotional. Or I accidentally summon an earthquake. Or...other things."
Kol was intrigued by the information. "That's interesting. You can start an earthquake?"
"Yeah. One time I accidentally made a volcano explode from it." Percy responded nonchalantly.
Rebekah's eyes widened. "A volcano?"
"As fascinating as the lovely Persephone is, could you please inform us about how you knew our mother was plotting against us?" Elijah spoke kindly, in an attempt to get the group to focus on the issue at hand.
Percy nodded in response. She explained what happened and repeated what Esther said to Elena earlier.
The originals could tell she wasn't lying.
"I stopped Finn from drinking the champagne too." Elijah informed the group.
The sea green eyed girl nodded. "Good. What do we do now?"

Ok, my updates have been late.
Several people suggested having some of Percy's friends visit for the ball.
