《SEA GREEN MEETS GOLD (N.M. & P.J.)》Chapter 6: Just that Awesome

Stefan, Percy, and Klaus arrived at a warehouse. The hybrid stood over a coffin and peered inside. Elijah was in the mahogany coffin with a silver dagger in his chest.

Percy and Stefan stood off to the side watching Klaus.

The blond spoke to his desiccated sibling. "I suppose, brother, you've been reunited with our family."

"I'm gonna miss him," the demigod mumbled.

He closed the lid and addressed the two men standing nearby. "Put him with the others. We're leaving town tonight."

Others? So, he didn't bury his family at sea.

Stefan's phone vibrated, causing him to pull it out of his pocket. He received a message from Elena, assuring him that his brother was okay. The doppelgänger also asked where he was.

The hybrid walked towards the pair. Stefan looked up at him. "You won't be seeing Katherine again, you know."

Klaus did not look surprised in the slightest, "Because she's on vervain? I've been around a long time, Stefan. I rarely get played for a fool. Besides she won't get far. You'll help me see to that."

Stefan took several steps toward Klaus. "What is it you really want from me?"

There's so much tension.

"All will be explained in time, once we leave this tragic little town."

Stefan met his gaze head on, "Then, are we done here?"

"Yeah. Can we go? I'm bored." The demigod piped up.

The hybrid replied, "Not quite." He kept his attention on Stefan, "You see, I have a gift for you."

Klaus turned around and waved a girl over to him. "Come here, sweetheart." The girl stepped out from behind the corner. "Don't be afraid," he encouraged.

Percy stepped forward in front of the girl. "Nope, nope, nope. No."

"Ah, come on, love. Just a little taste," Klaus spoke to the demigod.

"Let her go." She enunciated each word clearly. The hybrid could see a storm brewing in her eyes. He knew she wouldn't back down.

He stared right back into her sea green eyes. They seemed to change different shades depending on her mood. At the moment, he was looking at harsh, dark waters. There was a tide that drew you in despite the sign of danger.

"Fine. We've stayed long enough. Let's go." Klaus relented.

The curly haired man began walking back to the car.

The Salvatore looked at Percy in awe. "How did you-?"

Percy shrugged. "I'm just that awesome, I guess." The girl behind the raven haired beauty was still shaking.

Stefan shook his head. He stepped closer and compelled the girl to forget.

The demigod started walking back to the car, with a baffled Stefan following.

Maybe, this trip wouldn't be so bad. Stefan thought to himself.

Oh, how wrong he was.

"Don't stop me now!

cause I'm having a good time,

Don't stop me now!

Yes, I'm having a good time!" Percy loudly sang the lyrics to the song, 'Don't Stop Me Now,' by Queen.

The demigod had the song playing from the car after connecting her phone to the radio. She was seated in the passenger seat, while Stefan was stuck in the backseat.

Klaus would occasionally glance over at the girl while driving to see her dancing in her seat. Neither of the vampires could understand how Percy had that much energy.

"Could you please turn that down?" The Salvatore asked from the backseat.

Percy being the mature person she is, questioned, "What was that? You want me to raise the volume?"

The vampire groaned. Percy laughed and turned off the music.

"You're no fun," the demigod stated.

Stefan wanted to retaliate but he feared it would cause Percy to continue the torture on his ears. The loud sounds didn't help with his stress. It seemed all he could think about was Elena. And if not Elena, than blood.

The sea green eyed girl took a thin blanket out of her bag. She cuddled up in chair and tried to fall asleep. There wasn't much to do in the car, so sleeping was one of the only pastimes.

It only took a few minutes for her to doze off.

The raven haired beauty stirred in her sleep and repositioned herself in the seat.

"Good, you're awake. We're stopping soon." Percy heard the voice of a British accent next to her.

She rubbed her eyes, in an effort to wake herself up. When she opened them, she saw it was now dark outside.

The demigod turned her head to look at him. "Where are we going?" She questioned in a sleepy voice.

"We're stopping at a hotel. We'll continue tomorrow morning." The hybrid informed her.

Percy nodded, "K."

A few minutes later, the blond pulled into the parking lot of a hotel.

The three left the car and headed towards the entrance.

Upon seeing Stefan's demeanor, Klaus commented, "Don't look so glum, Stefan."

"Would you rather me sing and dance for hours on end?"

Percy flicked his arm. "You wish you had my talent."

Stefan rolled his eyes, as they walked up to the front desk. After getting three rooms, the hybrid gave them each their room key.

"We'll be leaving early in the morning."

The sea green eyed demigod groaned. Turning on her heel, she left to find her room.

Klaus chuckled. "Goodnight, love," he called out to her.

"Night, Nikkie."

When Percy arrived at her room, she immediately threw herself on the bed. The demigod figured she should take a shower, so she got back up.

The sea green eyed girl wandered into the bathroom and examined her appearance. Her hair was a mess. She ran her fingers through it to untangle the ends.

Percy turned the water on and got in. The hot water cascaded down her back, calming the demigod.

She sighed as the steam spread around the room. Once she finished the shower, the demigod dried herself with her powers. Percy wrapped a towel around herself as she walked back to her bag. She pulled out an oversized t-shirt and baggy pajama pants.

After she got changed, Percy found a menu for room service. She grinned, knowing that Klaus would be responsible for the bill.

The sea green eyed girl ordered herself chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. She also asked for a coke.

She plopped on the couch and played with the remote. Percy found a channel showing The Office.

A knock brought her focus away from the TV.

She walked over to the door, excited to eat her food. However, the raven haired beauty, was greeted with a cute tall British guy.

She cocked her hip to the side against the doorframe. "You don't look like room service."

Klaus smirked as he admired her Hello Kitty pajama pants. "Cute pajamas, love."

"Thank you. But if you continue staring at my body, I'll break your nose."

The hybrid laughed. "Yes, I'm sure you could," he looked back into her eyes. He had this look on his face, almost like... admiration?

"So... is there a reason you came to visit?" The demigod questioned.

The hybrid scratched the back of his neck. "I realized that unlike Stefan and I, you require things like food. And, uh, I didn't know if you needed anything."

It was Percy's turn to laugh. He was acting awkward and had this adorable 'lost puppy' look about him.

"Nah, I'm good. I just ordered room service. Thank you though." She sent him a smile.

He nodded his head, "Right."

A guy in a uniform appeared with a cart. He pushed it near Percy's door. "Your food, Miss."

The demigod smiled warmly, "Thank you!" She handed him a tip.

The guy looked back at Klaus who was giving him a death stare. He cleared his throat, "Is this man bothering you, Miss?"

Percy held back her chuckles and sent him a smile.

"No, he's fine."

The employee nodded. "Enjoy your food," he said with a charming smile.

"I will." Once he was out of earshot, the demigod erupted into laughter.

When she calmed down, she looked at the hybrid. "Why'd you glare at him?" She asked with an amused smile.

"I didn't like the way he was looking at you," the blond responded.

Percy raised an eyebrow, "Hm. Was it anything like the way you were looking at me when I first opened the door?"

Nik looked away, "I have no idea what you're talking about, love."

"Uh huh, Sure. Whatever you say." She sent him a grin.

The hybrid huffed. The action only amused Percy more.

The raven haired beauty smirked at him. "Goodnight, Klausie." Percy closed the door, leaving the hybrid wanting more.

He stared at the door for a few seconds, before walking back to his own room. Klaus was so lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice the small smile that spread across his face.
