《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》The Tracker

Emmett rushed over, taking me from Rosalie's grip. He scooped me up bridal style into his arms. Quick as a blink we were next to the Jeep. He got the door open and quickly placed me into the passenger side seat. Edward and Bella, both climbed into the back frantically. Emmett ran around to the driver's side, quickly jumping in and starting up the Jeep.
"Okay, I've got it! I've got it, I'm alright." Bella shouted in the back.
I could see through the rear view mirror he was struggling to stay calm and help her with her seat belt. I quickly did mine and we went flying at a high speed back through the wood's.
"What's happening? Is he coming after us?" I asked terrified.
"Listen, James is a tracker. The hunt is his obsession. I read his mind. Emmett and I's reaction's set him off. We just made this his most exciting game. He's never gonna stop." Edward said gruffly towards us. He sounds just as terrified as the both of us were.
"Great, that's just great." I said sarcastically while throwing my hands in the air.
"What should we do?" Bella asked.
"We have to kill him." Emmett answered angrily, gripping the steering wheel. "Rip him, apart and burn the pieces."
"Where are we going?" I looked at Emmett worriedly. He whipped the Jeep onto the pavement and sped off again.
"Away from Forks. I have to keep you safe." Emmett said through his gritted teeth.
"What?!" I yelled.
I can't just up and leave. If someone's after us that'll lead them home. Home leads to... Charlie.
"We have to go home! Now!" Bella shouted, obviously coming to the same conclusion.
"You can't go home!" Edward now shouted. "He's just going to trace your scent there."
"Our scent is already there! Our dad is there. We..."
"It doesn't matter!" Edward yelled cutting me off.
"Yes, it does!" Bella screamed angrily.
"He could get killed because of us!" I screamed back at him. How dare he suggest our father doesn't matter. "Emmett take us home." I demanded. He looked over at me sadly before his expression changed again.
"Just let us get you out of here first, all right?" Emmett tried to reason with us both.
"No! Damn it. That is my Dad! Take me home right now!" I yelled angrily with tear's beginning to brim my eyes.
"We have to go back!" Bella choked out. "We will figure out a way to lead the tracker away somehow. I don't know... But we have to do something!"
"Please, Em." I begged. He looked at me and lifted a hand wiping the tear that fell down my cheek. He nodded and turned the car around.
We formulated a plan on the ride back to Bella and I's house. All we could do was hope this would work and keep our father safe. We both jumped out of the Jeep and ran inside. Bella being the last one in began to yell. I saw Dad abruptly sit up on the couch that he must have been sleeping on.
"Edward, I said leave me alone." She shouted.
"Emmett get him out of here." I snarled angrily.
"Bella don't do this please." Edward begged.
"It's over! Get out!" Bella slammed the door and we both ran up the stairs.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey. Guys? What's going on?" Dad said chasing us up the stairs. We walked first into Bella's room and shut the door behind us.

"I've just got to get out of here. I'm leaving. Now." Bella said loudly. Edward met us in the room and helped Bella pack the things we were both throwing to him. We have no idea how long this will take, so we packed as much as her duffle bag would carry.
Dad knocked on the door.
"Bella? (Y/n)?"
"What am I going to say to him?" Bella whispered to me.
"I'm not sure, but we can't hurt him..." I whispered back.
"Girl's? What's going on?" He called out from the other side of the door.
"You're going to have too." Edward cut in giving us a solemn look. "I'll be down in the truck." He said as he hopped back out the window.
We walked out of her room and she slammed the door shut behind us. I avoided my father's gaze.
I'm a terrible liar, when it comes to Dad.
"Did he hurt you? Break up with you or something?" He asked confused as Bella gathered our things from the bathroom. I shut my open bedroom door, slightly. Knowing Emmett was waiting to get in there.
"No, I broke up with him." Bella said as she stormed into her room. I walked into mine quickly and helped Emmett gather my thing's.
"I thought you liked him?" Dad called out confused through the door.
"Yeah, that's why I have to leave." She yelled.
"That doesn't explain you, (Y/n/n)." He said through my door.
I gave Emmett a worried look and he quickly kissed my forehead, giving me a sympathetic glance and then jumping out the window. I opened up my bedroom door to see his sad looking face.
"I can't... I can't let her go alone. Okay? I've got to go with her." I held my bag tightly and rushed down the stairs.
"You're not leaving right now. Mom's not even in Phoenix. You guy's can sleep on it. If you feel like going still in the morning, I'll take you to the airport." He pleaded with the both of us.
Bella grabbed her bag and walked down the stairs after me.
"No. I want to drive. It'll give me time to think. If I get really tired, we'll just switch or pull off the road okay?" Bella tried to reason with him.
"Look, Bella. I know I'm not that fun to be around, but I can change that. We can work on having a better relationship. We can do more stuff together." He sputtered out reasons to make try and make her stay. He knew if she left I'd go and he'd lose us both. I could feel the tears stinging my eyes.
"Like what? Like watch baseball on the flatscreen? Eat at the diner every night? Steak and cobbler? That's you, not me." Bella said trying to appear angry.
I could see she was struggling to keep up appearances.
"Dad, just let us go..." I said quietly. Praying for him to understand. He looked over at me and I could see the tear's. Dad never cries, so that only made this so much worse. Bella and I turned away from him about to walk out the door.
"Bella, come on. I just got both you and (Y/n), back." We both freeze at the doorway, at the sound of his voice breaking. I sniffled unable to hold it in much longer and Bella grabbed my hand. She squeezed and gave me a small glance. Without turning around to face him she spoke.

"Yeah, and you know if I don't get us out now, then we are going to be stuck here. Just like Mom." She opened the door and pulled me through. I stiffened at her words.
They were the same word's our Mom, used when she left him... Bella climbed quickly into the driver's seat of the truck and I climbed into the passenger seat, scooting my way into the middle. Bella began to tear up and I rubbed her back lightly as she started up the truck.
"He'll forgive you, ya know..." I said softly. "I'm so sorry this was put on you to do..."
"He knows you a lot better than he does for me... He would have never let us go if it was you. You're a terrible liar." She chuckled through her tears.
"Only toward's Dad. I can't help that we are like the same person." I chuckled quietly.
There was a sudden bump on the truck. Both of us gasped and froze. Edward held onto the side of the truck by the driver's side window.
"He will forgive you...Why don't you let me drive." He said softly. Bella nodded and we both moved over and he climbed in after opening the door. All while the truck was moving.
"I don't think he will...You should have seen his face." She began to cry again. "I told him the same thing our mom told him when she was leaving him with us."
"It's the only way he would have let you go." He assured her placing a hand on her knee. "Just don't worry about him. He's safe. The tracker's following us."
A loud thud sounded from the truck bed. Bella and I both gasped again, grabbing ahold of each other.
"Jesus." Edward mumbled. "It's all right, it's just Emmett." Edward reassured us.
I peeked out the window and saw him looking around the truck, smiling at me. He gave me a thumbs up and I chuckled returning one back to him.
"Alice is in the car behind us."
Bella and I look back and see the Jeep following closely behind. As we began to head out of town we drove past Carver's Diner. Our friends, Eric, Angela, Mike, Jessica and Tyler. All coming out laughing happily together. I reached out and held Bella's hand. We both squeezed each other for comfort. Soon enough we were back at the Cullen household.
Emmett hopped out of the back and opened my door. He gave me a sympathetic smile and opened his arms which I gladly jumped into. I buried my face in his neck and let a few tears fall. He lifted my waist and wrapped my legs around him. Carrying me over towards the door. Edward opened it, Bella followed in behind and then us. Emmett quickly set me back on my feet and stood in front of Bella and I. He and Edward both let out a growl.
"Wait!" Carlisle said entering the room, along with none other than, Laurent. "He came to warn us about James." The four of us looked at each other and then back at Carlisle and Laurent.
"This isn't my fight, and I've grown tired of his games, but he's got unparalleled senses, absolutely lethal. I've never seen anything like him in my 300 years. And the woman, Victoria, don't underestimate her." Laurent said to us before swiftly leaving the house.
A plan had been made and we entered the Cullen garage.
"I've had to fight our kind before. We're not easy to kill." Jasper said to the group of us.
"But not impossible." Henry pointed out.
"We'll tear him apart and burn the pieces." Jasper agreed. He and Henry began to gather supplies from one of the closets.
"I don't relish the thought of killing another creature, even a sadist one like James." Carlisle shook his head.
Emmett walked us over to one of the cars. His arm around my shoulder. Rosalie walked over and gave Emmett a look. To which he let go of me and Rosalie engulfed me into a hug.
"Thank you for protecting me earlier." I whispered to her. She smiled and let go of me.
"No problem."
"I'm going to run Bella south." Edward said entering the room with my sister.
"(Y/n) and I will come." Emmett spoke up.
"Can you lead the tracker away from here?" Edward looked to Carlisle.
"No, Edward. James knows you would never leave Bella. The same goes for Emmett and (Y/n). He'll follow you." Carlisle told him sternly.
"I'll go with (Y/n) and Bella. Jasper and I will drive them both south. I'll keep them safe, I promise." Alice said.
"Can you keep your thought's to yourself?" Edward sneered at her.
"Yes." Alice rolled her eyes and grabbed me and Bella pulling us towards Carlisle's car.
Emmett grabbed my arm and pulled me back engulfing me in a big bear like hug. I hugged him back tightly not enjoying the thought of having to let go. We pulled apart and he crashed his lips onto mine. The kiss was filled with all our outpouring emotions at the moment. Passion and so much love and fear.
"I love you." He breathed as we broke apart.
"I love you too." I told him whole heartedly.
He wiped away a tear from my cheek. Alice pulled me away again and got me into the other side of the car opposite Bella.
"Rosalie, Esme, could you two put these on so the tracker will pick up (Y/n) and Bella's scent?" Emmett asked as he and Edward tossed some of our clothing towards them.
"Why? What is Bella to me?" Rosalie remarked towards Edward.
"Rosalie, Bella is with Edward. She's part of this family now. We protect our family. All of our family." Carlisle told her. Rosalie sighed and reluctantly took the clothing.
Emmett walked to my door and opened it kissing me one last time.
"Come back to me." I whispered during the kiss.
"I'll always come back to you." He whispered back.
"What if..." He cut me off by placing a single finger over my mouth.
"There's eight of us and two of them. We've got this. I will come back to you. I'll come get you when this is over. You are my whole world. My Eternity."
"I love you, Emmett."
"I love you, (Y/n)."
The car started and Emmett closed the door. The garage door opened and we left. I watched as we pulled away, seeing my favorite person, my whole world, my eternity. Disappear the farther away we go.
