《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》The First Sleep Over

A week after our time with Edward and Emmett at their house had gone by. Bella and I had been in the truck driving to meet Dad at the usual restaurant for dinner. He had been really busy lately with tracking the 'animal' that had killed Waylon. Bella and I knew better though. We knew it was a vampire. Which made us worry for Charlie's safety.

"I hope he hasn't found anything..." I said quietly twiddling my finger's in my lap.

"I know. I don't want Charlie getting hurt either." Bella placed a hand over my fidgety ones. She glanced over and softly smiled before returning her attention and hand's back on the wheel.

"Maybe, they've moved on from the area." I shrugged in my seat. "Emmett seems to think they might have. Their hasn't been any new killings since earlier this week. And the last one was outside of town this time."

"He's probably right. Kinda suck's we know about all of this, and Charlie doesn't. Of course it's ironic that our father is the chief of police and here we are fraternizing with the kind of thing he's searching for." Bella pointed out and I nodded.

"Yeah, but it's for his own safety and for their's."

We pulled up to the diner and could see the entire Forks basketball team outside messing around. We both groaned quietly and got out of the truck.

"Arizona!" Mike shouted happily seeing both of us. "Yo, what's happening?"

"Hi, Mike." Bella and I responded. Trying to make our way into the restaurant.

I think if Bella wasn't so infatuated with Edward she would probably have a crush on Mike. I couldn't help but think.

"So you both and a Cullen, huh?" Mike not so casually brought it up.

Boom there it is. The confrontation neither of us wanted. Emmett and I had of course made it official, Bella and Edward are together but nothing's really been official so you could say.

"That's none of your business." Bella sneered and pulled me forward with her trying to escape the conversation.

"That's... I don't like it." Mike said to us.

I stopped dead in my tracks and glared at him.

"Good thing, it's not for you to decide." I remarked with crossed arms and an angry glare.

"Look, you're both my friend's. And I don't know, they look at you guy's like your something to eat." Mike explains and I snorted, rolling my eyes at his comment. Bella scoffed and we just walked away without saying another word.

We walked inside and waved at Cora. We turned to see Dad sitting at our usual table and we made our way over to him. Bella sat on his right, I kissed his temple and sit on his left.

"Sorry, we're late. Biology project you know." Bella lied to him. We had of course been with the boy's since this morning.

"It's fine. I ordered you both a spinach salad. I hope that's okay." He said putting down the paper he had been reading.

Cora walked over in that moment and brought us our food. She placed two salad's down and then a steak plate in front of Dad.

"You should order one for yourself next time." I joked. "Cut back on the steak."

"Hey, I'm as healthy as a horse." Dad grinned at me and I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Say, Chief..." Cora's voice cracked a bit. We all look up at her. "Boys wanna know, did you find anything down by Queets River today?"

The table beside us was filled with older men and they all lean over in anticipation of hearing whatever news Charlie would bring. He took a big deep breath before answering.

"Yeah... We found a bare human footprint, but it look's like whoever that is, is headed east. So Kitsap County Sheriff is gonna take over from here."

My breathing hitched in the back of my throat when he mentioned a human footprint. Not because I was surprised. But because I was worried for him. He was much to close to the other kind's of vampire's that don't care for human life like our vampire's do. Although, it made me relax slightly when he said they seemed to be heading out of the area like Emmett had said.

"I just hope they catch him fast." Cora said sadly. She patted my shoulder gently and walked away.

Mike's voice suddenly rang through the air. I looked up and through the window to see him dancing in a sexual manner in front of a bush.

"Bow chicka wow wow."

"Looks like your friend's are flaggin' ya." Dad said to the pair of us. I scoffed and covered my face with my hands. Bella turned around and visibly turned bright red. "It's okay if you wanna go join them."

"Oh, god. No thanks." I said, putting together my salad.

"I'm just going to turn in early anyway." Dad pushed.

"Me too." Bella agreed. Dad stopped cutting his steak and looked at her.

"Bella, it's a Friday night. Go out. Go out together." He glanced at me. "I know, (Y/n)'s got Emmett. It, uh, it look's like the Newton boy's got a big smile for ya."

"Yeah, he's a good buddy." Bella smiled. I snickered quietly. She glanced up at me and gave me a pointed look and an eye roll.

"Alright, well what about any of these other yahoos in town? Anybody interest you?" Dad looked back up from his plate at her.

"Dad, we really going to talk about boy's?" Bella let out a small nervous laugh.

"Yeah, I guess not." He laughed nervously. "I just feel like I leave you both alone too much. I know you have each other and all. But still."

"We don't really mind being alone. Like you said, we've got each other." Bella smiled.

"I guess, we are kinda like our dad in that way." I smiled at him and he smiled back, before going back to his food.

Back at home that night I was sitting in my room when Bella had brought me the home phone to talk to my mother. She already had so it was my turn.

"Hey, Mom."

"Hi, sweetheart. How are you?"

"Good, Mom. Really good. How's all the baseball stuff going?" I adjusted myself on my bed and leaned up against the headboard.

"Oh, Phil's working so hard. You know spring training." I could hear the sound of baseball's being hit in the background. "We're looking for a house to rent in case things become more permanent. You'd like Jacksonville, baby." I felt a twinge of pain in my heart. I missed my Mom terribly, but Jacksonville isn't someplace Emmett would ever really be able to go... to much... sun.

"You know me, Mom. I really like Fork's." I chuckled nervously.

"I know, honey." She giggled. "It's funny your sister said something similar. I expect it from you. Not so much her."

"What can I say?" I laughed. "It certainly grows on you."

"Or a certain boy, has made his way into your heart." I groaned at her comment and she laughed. "Bella told me. I'm a little upset I didn't hear it from you. But tell me, what's he like?" I could hear the excitement in her voice.

"Sorry. I've been really busy. With school and stuff. But he's so great, Mom. I think you'd really like him. His name is Emmett." I explained. I couldn't contain the happy smile that came across my face just talking about Emmett.

Of course speak of the devil and he shall appear.

As soon as I said Emmett's name he was somehow in my room. I gasped quietly and looked at him. Emmett stood by my window smirked at me.

"Uh, Mom. Can I call you tomorrow?"

"What? Wait, we have to talk boys! Are you being safe?!" She said quickly into the phone and I immediately hung up. That's the last thing I want to talk to her about.

"How on god's green earth did you get in here?" I whispered.

"The window." He said as if it was super obvious.

"Remind me to close it and lock it next time." I chuckled quietly. He faked hurt and gasped.

"You'd lock me out? And here I thought you'd be happy to see me." He sighed and had a look in his eyes. "I guess I'll just go..." He walked towards the window really slowly.

I quickly got up and grabbed his arm.

"No, no. Stay. I was kidding. You know me and my sarcastic mouth."

"All right, you convinced me." He chuckled and pulled us over to sit on my bed. "At least I can say with confidence that is the first time I've ever done this."

"Well that's good because if you had been in here without me knowing that would be super creepy." I laughed and he did too. "I am really glad you're here though."

"Me too. I missed you." Emmett said as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"You saw me this morning at school." I laughed. "But I missed you too. What brought you by?"

"I wanted to see you. It's kinda hard to stay away from you, ya know." He smirked.

"Funny, I feel the same way." I smirked back at him. "So, what do you want to do?"

"Whatever, you want." He teased and poked my side.

"Well I was going to put in a movie. You could join me if you want." I shrugged and stood up. I walked over to my tv and I grab the first Fast and Furious movie, placing it into the DVD player and sat back down.

As my butt hit the bed I heard a decent sized thud.

"What was that?" I jumped up about to go check on Bella, but Emmett stopped me at the door and laughed.

"It's just Edward."

"Oh, thank god. So he's in Bella's room?" I asked as he guided me back to my bed.

"Yeah." He chuckled lightly.

We got in my bed and we sat together. Although, Emmett for some reason wasn't cuddled up next to me.

"You can scoot closer you know. I don't bite." I made a really bad joke, making Emmett grin and roll his eyes.

"I know. I just can't promise I won't..." He said quietly looking down to the bed. I paused the starting movie and looked back at him confused. He's never shied away from me before... "I just don't ever want to lose control around you. I'd never be able to forgive myself if I ever hurt you." He explained.

"Hold on. What brought this on? It's not like you've never been close to me before. We've kissed haven't we? Talk to me, tell me what's going on?" I put a hand over his and he looked up at me. Our eyes met and he took a deep breath.

"It was just another family discussion. Edward and Rose got into it over the whole, us with human's thing again. Of course, he dragged me into it and said I'm a lot more reckless then he's being with Bella." He sighed. "He pointed out that we didn't take our time to 'test the water's' so to say. To make sure I wouldn't hurt you. Which of course isn't true. I've always made sure keep a distance. Like that's why we never hug, or kiss for very long. Why I don't get to hold you for as long as I'd like. I do my best to keep you safe..."

"Oh, Emmett." I teared up slightly at his word's. I sat on my knees and scooted slightly closer. "I know, you'd never hurt me intentionally, or at all for that matter. You're so sweet and caring with me. No one. And I mean know one has the right to tell you how to act around me. I never want to make you feel uncomfortable either."

"Always so caring." He mumbled and brushed my hair away from my face, leaving his hand on my cheek. "You're always so worried about how comfortable I am. When I should be the one worrying about you. I'm the monster here. Not you."

I put my hand on his, that was on my cheek and pull it down off my face. Gripping it tightly in my own hand.

"Emmett Cullen. You are not a monster. I will spend the rest of my life trying to convince you of that." I told him sternly. He sighed and shook his head. His usual grin returned to his face after a few second's.

"Can we try something?" He put his free hand back on my cheek. I nodded at him, letting him know, it's okay.

Emmett slowly leaned in and kissed me. It started out like our usual pecks, soft, slow. He didn't pull away almost immediately this time though. His other hand travelled to my waist and pulled me close, tilting my body back so we could lay on the bed. Our kiss moved from soft and slow, to a decent paced make out session. My hands travel to the back of his head and I carefully gripped some of his hair. A soft groan escaped his lip's onto mine and he held himself up with one hand. Letting the other wrap around my waist again. The way he grabbed me ever so lightly, was like he was afraid he'd break me with just one touch. After about three good minutes he pulled away so I could get a decent breath in. I panted lightly and smiled up at him. He chuckled and moved more of my ever messy hair that was in my face.

"You're so beautiful and perfect." He said quietly before kissing the tip of my nose.

"I told you, you could do it. That's the longest time yet." I giggled and leaned up, placing a quick peck to his lips. "Ready to watch the movie now?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah we probably should." Emmett lifted up his body and adjusted us both on the bed. Wrapping an arm around me and laid me against his chest. I put my hand up near my head on his chest and sighed happily.

"If you get uncomfortable and need to move then just let me know." I told him seriously.

"I think I'll be just fine. But in the off chance that happen's, I'll be sure to let you know." He whispered into my hair.

I began the movie again and after a little while he whispered to me.

"Thank you."

"Anything for you, Emmett." I let out a yawn and Emmett pulled up my comforter covering us both.

We laid together watching the movie. I couldn't believe how lucky I got by falling for the most caring girl in the world. Soon enough, I could hear her breathing even out and her eyes began to close. (Y/n) cuddled even closer to me before I heard her sleepy voice mumble something.

If I wasn't a vampire with super advanced hearing, I probably wouldn't have caught it.

"I love you..."

I couldn't help but smile at her word's. Sure they were sleepy words, but all the same, she felt for me the same way I do about her. Yeah, it's only been like a month since we got together officially. But it's been almost three that I've known her and I wouldn't have it any other way. I lightly stroked her rosy cheek with my finger's.

"I love you too, Princess." I whispered softly back and placed a gentle kiss on her head.
