《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》La Push

Another three weeks flew by quickly. It was lunch time and my sister and I grabbed our trays and took them to our usual table.
"Hey! La Push, baby. You in?" Eric asked sending me a wink.
"Should we know what that means?" Bella asked curiously.
"He's talking about La Push beach. On the Reservation, Bells. I'm up for it." I smirked and received a high five from Jess and Mike.
"Yeah, we are all going tomorrow." Mike says.
"There's a big swell coming in." Jess grinned happily.
"And I don't just surf the internet." Eric stood up and pretended to surf, with Mike following suit.
"Eric, you stood up once, and it was on a foam board." Jessica remarked to him.
"Yeah, but there's whale watching, too. Come with us." Angela begged Bella as she was the only one who hadn't agreed yet.
"La Push, baby. It's La Push." Eric smirked while acting all cool.
"Okay, I'll go if you stop saying that, okay?" Bella agreed while making us all laugh.
"Seriously, dude. It's creepy man." Mike told Eric. They gave each other playful glares.
Bella left the table and talked to Edward, for the first time in weeks, again. Besides the occasional stuff needed during class. After lunch I manage to bump into who else other than, Emmett.
"Hey, so are you free tonight?" He grinned widely at me.
"Hmm, I might have to move things around... Kidding. Yeah I'm not doing anything."
"Great, meet me in the parking lot after school." He wiggled his eyebrows and rushed off. I shook my head and giggled.
Later after school Emmett met me in the parking lot, just like he said.
"Hey. Are you ready to go?" He asked with that special smirk.
"Yep." I nodded.
"Alright, come on." He laughed and intertwined our fingers before pulling me along to his Jeep. Our first time holding hands.
Emmett held open the passenger side door for me and helped me in. Given the Jeep was a bit lifted and I'm kinda short. He jumped happily into the drivers seat and whipped us out of the parking lot. We drove for a little while, before he stopped along a tree line.
"Hope you don't mind a little bit of a walk through the woods." Emmett said while he grabbed a basket from the trunk.
Emmett stopped and held out his hand, grinning from ear to ear. I interlocked our fingers again and I grinned at him. This was the most contact we've ever held. I had to say I was pleasantly surprised. We walked for a while before coming across a empty field with lots of soon to be budding flowers. But the best part was the small waterfall that laid at the end of the clearing.
"Oh, Emmett..." I told him breathlessly. "This is... beautiful." I looked around the clearing, enjoying the scenery.
"Yeah, it is." He said and I turned to see him staring at me with a titled head and a goofy grin. Somehow he had set up a full picnic with small candles that were lit.
"Emmett..." I blushed a deep red. I could definitely tell because of how hot my face had gotten.
"I don't think I could ever get over seeing that." He chuckled and got closer to me, tucking my hair behind my ear.
"So, what did you bring us?" I asked curiously. He grabbed my hand and sat down on the blanket with me.

"Eh, it's more of what I brought you. I'm kinda... on a diet." He nodded like he reassuring himself. I giggled at him. "You know, I really love your laugh. It's like music to my ears."
"Stop it." I blushed even harder, making him laugh hard. "Well, I love hearing your laugh too. It's contagious." I pointed out and we laughed together.
"So, my Mom. She kinda helped me make this. It's nothing to fancy. Just a platter of cheese, crackers and some fruit." He shrugged. I look over the plate he pulled out to see all my favorite things.
"How did you....?"
"I pay attention." He gave me a big grin.
"We've never sat together at lunch." I pointed out and eye'd him suspiciously, while enjoying some of the food. "I swear, I get the feeling like you stalk me sometimes." I said and we both let out loud laughs.
"Nah, just observant. I promise." He put his hands up defensively. "So, I wanted to ask where you are on your journey to answers?"
"Oh, boy. Where do I begin? Bella and I have talked about it. So far we've only come up with a few things."
"Lay it on me."
"Promise you won't laugh. And that if I ever do get it correct you'll tell me." I gave him a serious look.
"I promise, I swear." He crossed his heart in a cute way. I shook my head.
"Okay. So the only thing that fits with what info I have right now is. Radioactive spiders and Kryptonite." Emmett snorted at my response I smacked his arm lightly. "Hey! You said you wouldn't laugh!"
"Right, sorry." He cleared his throat before simply looking back at me with a big smile and couldn't help but laugh again.
"You're such a jerk." I laughed, throwing some cheese at him.
"That's all superhero stuff. You know that right?" He raised a curious eyebrow at me.
"Yeah, well what else could it possibly be? Clearly I don't have enough facts to get me to an answer, yet."
"What if. Hypothetically I'm not a hero..." He told me sadly. "What if I'm some sort of bad guy."
"Emmett..." I got onto my knees and crawled over in front of him. Taking his hands into mine. He looked at me surprised and I looked back at him. "You're not a bad guy. If you were, you would have let that van crush me. You would have been a jerk right from the beginning. But you haven't been and you're not."
"You have no idea, how badly I want to kiss you." He whispered, putting a cold hand on my cheek. I leaned into his touch.
"Then why don't you?" I ask quietly.
"Because." He cupped both of my cheeks with his hands. "I need to wait until you know me... completely. I know you'll figure it out. And when you do... if you don't run in the opposite direction. That's when I'll kiss you."
"So now it's like some kind of crazy incentive to get me to figure out whatever this is?" I gestured between us.
"If that gives you even more motivation. Sure, Princess." Emmett smiled happily.
"Fine." I gave him the best pout I could muster and sit back down with my arms crossed. He groaned and laughed at me.
"Come on, don't give me that."

"You have to give me some kind of hint. I really don't understand why you can't just tell me." I groaned and laid flat on my back, throwing my hands above my head. He chuckled and laid down beside me, up on his elbow.
"You have no idea how much restraint it takes to be around you." Emmett said. I give him side eye and scoffed. Some kinda clue that is... "Come, on we should get you home. It's getting late." He stood up and held out his hand for me. I playfully rolled my eyes and grabbed his hand.
Emmett effortlessly pulled me up to my feet. We got into the Jeep and he drove me home. We sat in the jeep for a minute before I got out.
"Oh, hey. Tomorrow, we are all going to the beach you should come." I smiled. Hoping he'd say yes.
"What beach?"
"La Push."
"Oh... I would but I promised Esme I'd be home to help her with some stuff." He smiled back.
"Oh... Okay. Maybe next time then?" I asked him hopefully.
"Sure, maybe next time." He chuckled and grabbed my hand, kissing it gently.
"Bye, Emmett. Thank you for a wonderful time today."
"Anything for you. Bye, (Y/n). Sweet dreams, Princess."
I hopped out and shut the door to the Jeep and ran up to the porch. Giving him one last wave before heading inside.
"Where have you been?" Dad's voice asked from his chair in the living room.
"Hi, Dad. I was just out with a friend." I answered him truthfully.
"Hmm. Well next time make sure to let me know."
"Sorry. I told Bella. I'll be sure to call you next time first, okay?"
"Alright."
"Night, Dad." I shouted as I ran up the stairs to my room.
The next morning, Bella and I woke up, bundled up and headed to La Push with our friends.
"Hey, It's freezing." One guy said.
"I don't know if it's worth it anymore." Eric said through his chattering teeth as he tried to put on his wet suit.
"We drove all the way out here." Jess rolled her eyes at the boys. "I'm at least paddling out. You guys are babies."
"She's right." Mike stated.
Angela sat in the passenger seat of the van, the door open and her leg's hanging out. Bella and I sat next to her with the rear sliding door open and our legs hanging out.
"So I keep thinking that Eric's going to ask me to Prom, and then... he just doesn't." Angela told us quietly. While watching Eric with a sad gaze.
"You should ask him." Bella suggested.
"She's right. You're a strong, independent woman." I told her proudly.
"I am?" She questioned.
"Damn straight." I gave her a smile and patted her knee. As I had turned my head to look at Angela I notice three olive toned boys walking in our direction. Each one had long black hair. "Jacob!" I squealed. I jumped up from my seat and ran to him. Tackling him in a hug.
"Ha. (Y/n/n), it's been too long. You live up the road now basically and I've seen you what once?" Jake said. I chuckled and punched his arm playfully. He smirked and we walked to my friends.
"Guys, this is Jacob." I introduced him.
"Hi, Jake." Bella gave him a small smile.
"Hi, Bella." He greeted her.
"Hi." Jess and Angela greeted him. We both leaned up against the side of the van next to Bella.
"Are you guys surfing?" Jake asked looking curiously at me and Bella.
"Are you kidding?" I scoffed.
"Definitely not." Bella assured him.
"You guys should keep Bella and (Y/n) company. Their dates bailed." Jess snickered. Angela smacked her arm.
"What date?" Eric asked eyeing me, after over hearing the conversation.
"She invited Emmett." Jess laughed after seeing Eric looking at me. Then she pointed her thumb towards Bella. "She invited Edward."
"Emmett didn't bail. He was busy." I scoffed back at her crossing my arms.
"To be polite, that's it." Bella mumbled.
"I think it's nice they invited them, no one ever does." Angela reassured us, putting a hand on Bella's shoulder since she was closer.
"Yeah, 'cause the Cullen's are freaks." Mike huffed.
"You got that right." Quil one of Jacob's friends laughed.
"You guys know them?" Bella asked curiously.
"The Cullen's don't come here." Quil answered seriously. Embry gave him a dirty look and Jacob just shook his head.
After talking for a bit, Jess went out to the water. Bella and Angela curled up in some blankets and stayed chatting with Embry and Quil. Jake nudged my side.
"Wanna go for a walk?" I nodded and we excused ourselves from the others.
"So, how've you been?" Jake asked.
"Good, I guess. What about you?" I returned the question to him.
"Good, good. I miss hanging out with you, though."
"Aww. I miss hanging out with you too. We'll have to get together soon. Promise?" I stuck out my pinky to him with a playful smile. He laughed and pinky promised me. "So, Jacob... What did you're friends mean about, "The Cullen's don't come here?"
"You caught that, huh?" He chuckled.
"Nothing get's past me." I said proudly and giggled.
"Well, I'm not really supposed to say anything about it..."
"Hey, you know me. I can keep a secret." I pretended to zip my mouth closed and throw away the key.
"Uhm..." He laughed. "Okay. It's really just like an old scary story." He smirked at me.
"You know me, when it comes to scary and weird. I love it. So, please Jake, tell me. I want to know." I hung onto his arm and he placed his other hand on top of mine.
"Okay, did you know Quileutes are supposedly descended from wolves?"
"What? Like, wolves? Real wolves?" I asked with almost disbelief.
"Yeah." Jacob laughed. "Well, that's the legend of our tribe."
"So, what's the story about the Cullen's?" I pushed for him to keep telling me more.
"Well, there supposedly descended from this, like, enemy clan. My great grandfather, the chief, found them hunting on our land. But they claimed to be something different, so we made a treaty with them. If they promised to stay off Quileute lands, then we wouldn't expose what they really were to the pale faces." He explained.
"I thought they just moved here?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"Or they just moved back." He wiggled his eyebrows at me talking in a spooky way. I shoved him playfully.
