《Peridot x Human!Reader》Chapter 11 - Snuggles and Sleep

After the movie had ended, even though you didn't really watch most of it, you two decided it was time for bed. When you two walked into your room, you changed your clothes quickly as Peridot went behind the curtains of her corner to give you privacy. Once you were done, you called out "Okay Peridot, I'm done."
She then peeked out after she had put her movies away. She had her pillow in her hand though, and you tilted your head in question at this and asked "Why do you have your pillow, Peri?"
She hesitated at first, but then spoke up. "I... I was wondering if you would grant me permission to lay in the 'bed' as you go into your resting phase tonight?"
You waved at her a little and smiled "No, it's okay. I don't mind, but what do you plan to do all night? Usually you play on the iPad I lent you, sense you don't need to sleep."
She started on this, but then stopped to think. What would she do? She then thought of something as she raised a finger to answer. "I could try to sleep as well? Could you teach me?" She said hopeful.
You smiled at her happily. So she was trying to relate to you on something. "Yeah, sure! It's really not that hard..i mean, for humans anyway. Not sure how hard it will be for you, or even if you can, but we can try." You grinned at her. "Now, do you want to wear something more comfortable?"
Peridot looked a little confused at this, but shrugged anyway. "Sure, I guess so. Is that what you do?"
You nodded at her quickly. "Yeah. If you're comfortable, it makes it easier to fall asleep faster." You then pulled out an old T shirt of yours and pulled it over her head. It was slightly larger for her stature, but it would due. "Better?"

She blushed slightly as she gripped the hem of your shirt. "y-yeah." The scent of you made her more comfortable if she was to be honest.
You then turned on a small desk lamp, and then went to turn the lights off. As you turned around, you led her to the bedside. "Okay, so now we lay down." You then proceeded to lie down on the mattress and get comfortable.
Peridot watched you and then followed your movement, turning her face toward you and adjusting her pillow underneath her head. "Okay. Now what?" She whispered.
You pulled the covers over the both of you and then scooted closer. Peridot was surprisingly warm. "And now we close our eyes, and try to clear our minds of everything."
"Everything?" She questioned? Her face had a small blue hue to it as she blushed from how close you were. You two had only been this close when you had shared a kiss, and that was only a few hours ago.
"Yeah, everything." You then closed your eyes to show her. "Then we just relax and let us drift off." You then became quiet, breathing in deeply to relax yourself.
Peridot followed you and breathed deeply through her nose and closed her eyes. To her, all of this was weird, but she was willing to try for you.
Before long, you peaked open your eyes to see if she was still awake. To your surprise, she seemed to have a relaxed face and seemed to be actually sleeping. You smiled to yourself happily, and moved over towards her, gently placing a kiss on her Gem. "Goodnight, Peri." And then soon you were drifting off to sleep as well, enveloped in each other's warmth.
