[ start of lunatic part two ]
misunderstanding at the lacrosse scrimmage, Eleanor's mind was somewhere else. She didn't know what was going on, how she was feeling and she was completely and utterly confused, which Jaden noticed almost immediately. He decided not to ask her any questions, afraid that it may upset her, and so he sent her to the only person he knew would possibly be able to handle it. Mumma McCall.
Melissa had been a god send every single time Eleanor had problems that guys didn't know how to fix. When she was little, Melissa was like the mom she wish she still had, and when Laura and Derek came along, Laura was normally out on hunts or trips when Eleanor needed someone to talk to. In the end, Melissa was always there. She was there when ten year old Eleanor whispered in her ear that she 'may or may not' fancy a certain Stilinski, she was there when she got into her first fight with Derek, and she was there through her first heartbreak, something she had endured not too long ago. Granted, she didn't tell Melissa much, she didn't really tell anyone much, but the generous mother was still there. There to care for Eleanor like she was her own.
And so, when the front door of the McCall household opened, and the woman was met by a close to tears Eleanor, she knew something was wrong. Even more so when Eleanor started to cry.
Melissa ushered the young girl into her living room, sitting her down on the sofa as she enveloped her into a hug. "Oh honey, what's wrong?"
Eleanor just continued to cry. She cried for Laura, she cried for Scott, she cried for Derek, she cried for the Alpha, she cried for Stiles and she cried for herself. Sobs wracked her body and she allowed herself to fall into the loving embrace of someone she could call mum.
Once she had been consoled to the level of talking, she began to explain why she had turned up unannounced. She left out minor details, about the full moon and who kissed her exactly, but Melissa got the gist of what she was saying. She was scared because she liked Stiles, and she didn't want anything to jeopardise that. And although Melissa knew that this wasn't Eleanor's only problem, and that there must be a couple other ulterior problems Eleanor was dealing with, she didn't push.
"Sweetheart, let me tell you something. Stiles is your best friend, he loves you, he cares about you, and he trusts you. He'd be absolutely insane, although I'm certain he already is, not to like you." This made Eleanor giggle.
"I just - just really like him, you know? And it was just all so sudden today."
"I know honey, but it'll get better. Nobody wants to believe it, but it will get better."
Eleanor smiled, thankful that she had someone like Melissa McCall in her life. The teenager seemed more relaxed now, and her gaze shifted downward, and her eyes immediately widened as she noted that Melissa was in her work clothes.
"Oh my god, I'm not making you late for work, am I? I'm sorry, you didn't have to-"
Melissa laughed. "No, no Elle you didn't. I need to leave in a few minutes, you didn't interrupt anything sweetie, don't worry."
Eleanor sighed in relief, smiling slightly as Melissa cradled her face in one hand. "You're a beautiful girl, anyone would be lucky to have you. Especially Stiles."
And before she could answer, the front door rattled, and the two girls shot up from their seats, Melissa grabbing her handbag to protect the pair. They watched from the door frame as the door opened, and slumped their shoulders as they realised who had just entered the house. Stiles.

Melissa swung her bag onto her shoulder, motioned between the two teenagers, hinting at Eleanor when Stiles wasn't looking, and made herself seen to the teenage boy as he shut the door.
"Stiles, key." She noted.
Stiles chuckled awkwardly, looking down at the object between his fingertips. "Yeah, I had one made."
"That doesn't surprise me." Melissa stated, looking back at Eleanor who smiled. Eleanor had made a key two years ago. "Scares me, but doesn't surprise me."
The two teenagers made awkward and uncomfortable eye contact as Stiles duffel bag hit the ground, making a loud noise as Melissa widened her eyes, pointing to the bag in curiosity.
"What is that?"
"School project." He lied, letting it slip off his tongue easily.
Melissa looked back at Eleanor. "Are you part of this?"
"Yeah, Jaden is too, he's just running late." Eleanor nodded, moving to stand beside her as the woman sighed, eyeing Stiles suspiciously, a revolving thought in her mind.
"He is okay, isn't he?" She seemed concern.
"Who, Scott? Yeah totally," Stiles tried to convince, his voice becoming more high pitched as he made different facial expressions to mask the lie he had just told. He didn't want her to worry.
Eleanor placed a hand on Melissa's arm as she continued. "It's just, he doesn't tell me things anymore, he doesn't speak to me like he used to."
"Well, he's had a bit of a rough week." Eleanor replied honestly, smiling warmly and comfortingly at Melissa, rubbing her thumb over her skin as she nodded.
She seemed to pull herself out from the conversation abruptly and grabbed her phone and keys from the table beside her, smiling at the two of Scott's best friends. She moved to stand next to the front door.
"Well, you guys be careful tonight."
"You too."
Melissa rummaged through her bag, searching to find her key. "Full moon." She stated smoothly and innocently. This immediately caught the attention of Stiles and Eleanor. Eleanor made her surprise subtle, which couldn't be said for Stiles.
His head shot up and he stepped forward. "What?"
Melissa was oblivious to his worry and smiled. "Full moon tonight, it brings out all the crazies at the ER. You know that's where they came up with the word lunatic?"
After that piece of trivia, Melissa opened the door, bidding the two goodbye and winking at Eleanor, closing the door behind her.
The two stood for a couple of seconds, staring at one another, neither of them knowing exactly what to say, and when it looked like no one was going to speak, they both did.
"We should-"
"Maybe we-"
"You know-"
"How did-"
They both laughed at one another, and then the air was quickly met by silence, and Eleanor pointed toward the stairs. "I mean, we should probably go upstairs and wait for Scott, right? He's not home yet."
Stiles nodded and they climbed the stairs in silence, heading toward Scott's room to wait for him to return home. Which is why they were both surprised when they opened the door and walked into his bedroom.
"Holy god!"
"Bloody hell." Eleanor heaved, her hands over her heart as she tried to regain her breathing.
"I came in through the window." Scott stared ahead, a dazed look in his eye and Eleanor looked down, unable to look at him after the days events.
"Well then." Stiles sighed, crouching down to open his bag. "Let's get this set up."

A jingling was heard from the front door and in a mere few seconds, Jaden was through the door frame and standing over them. "Hey, sorry I'm late."
"I'm fine." Scott stated, ignoring Jaden. "I'm just gonna lock the door and go to bed early tonight."
Stiles scoffed. "You sure about that cos you've got this sorta crazy serial killer look going on in your eyes, and I'm hoping that it's the full moon starting to take effect because it's really starting to freak me out."
"I'm fine. You should go now."
"Alright I'll leave." Stiles gave in, his shoulders slumped in annoyance and failure.
Jaden shook his head, staring at Scott as he pointed down at the duffle bag on the ground. "Wait, can you at least just look at the stuff we have. Maybe you use it, maybe you don't. Sound good?"
Scott stood up in silence, walking forward menacingly as Jaden nodded at Stiles, an obvious plan forming as Scott bent down, hovering over the open bag filled with different restraining tools. He grabbed a fistful of metal chains and held them up, snarling at the three of them in disgust.
"You seriously think I'm going to let you chain me up like some dog?"
Stiles smirked slightly, although slightly terrified. "No, actually, I don't."
And he lunged forward, capturing one of his wrists in one side of handcuffs, chaining the other to the radiator next to him. He shuffled back almost immediately, allowing Jaden and Eleanor to leave the room as Eleanor's hands began to shake.
"What are you doing?" The new werewolf roared, outraged by his newfound position.
"Protecting you from yourself." Stiles spat, although there was something else lingering in his mind. "And giving you payback, for making out with Eleanor."
The room went silent for a second, and Jaden turned to stare at Eleanor in the hallway, a confused and worried expression in his eye as she shook her head and pleaded him to listen.
"He - he kissed me Jaden and I- I didn't know what to do. I didn't kiss him back, he- he just kissed me and I pushed him away. I asked him what he was doing and - and then he didn't answer so I left."
Jaden nodded, understanding her as he sat her down in the hallway, barging into the room himself as he glared down at the Hispanic boy. He made sure not to get in the way though, as he knew that Stiles had more to say.
"You, you kissed her Scott. You kissed Eleanor, that's like my one - you know how I feel about her. She, she's Eleanor for gods sake! And you know, for the past few hours I've been thinking 'it's just the full moon, he doesn't know what he's doing and tomorrow he'll probably be totally back to normal, and he won't even remember what a complete asshole he's been' a son of a bitch, a freaking unbelievable, piece of crap friend."
Scott stared at the ground, smirking to himself as he looked up. "She kissed me."
Stiles face dropped. "She what?"
"She kissed me." Scott started, his smile spreading as as Eleanor pushed the door open, eyes tearing up as hugged herself.
"What? Scott, you know I didn't-"
"I didn't kiss her, she kissed me. And she would've done a whole lot more too, you should've seen the way she had her hands all over me. She would've done anything I wanted. Anything." He said calmly, grinning from ear to ear as Stiles rushed out of the room, pushing past a now crying Eleanor.
Jaden soon followed Stiles, and then it was just Eleanor and Scott, and soon Scott was repeating the word, "Anything." He was shouting it and laughing as he looked her straight in the eye. And Eleanor felt sick.
She pushed her way out of the room, tearing falling from her eyes like waterfalls as she tried to escape Scott's voice. She rushed past both boys, who were in a small conversation, and ran to the bathroom, abruptly stopping their talk. Jaden gave Stiles a pointed look and he nodded, following her into the bathroom as she stared at herself in the mirror, trying to wipe her cheeks.
She turned to the sound of him entering, and immediately felt the need to explain herself. "Stiles, i - I promise I didn't kiss him. He, he kissed me and I had no clue what - what was happened and I pushed him off me and he was just so-"
And then she was engulfed into Stiles' arms, her head pressed to his chest as she shook, calming herself down by listening to his heartbeat. They stood like this for a while, his arms wrapped around her waist, his resting upon the top of hers as he swayed the slightly. He understood what had happened, he didn't need an explanation, Jaden had already briefed him. He was just happy that she hadn't kissed him back.
Because maybe, just maybe, he liked Eleanor Hale as much as Eleanor Hale liked him.
...
gripped her wrist, feeling that Scott had injured himself trying to escape, leaning against the wall next to Jaden and Stiles as she tried to ignore it. It was nothing big, but sometimes, small cuts can burn more, and this one burnt.
"Eleanor, Stiles, Jaden, please let me out." Scott moaned, his breathing heavy and uneven from all the groaning and pulling he had done. "It's the full moon I swear, you know I wouldn't do any of this on purpose. Please guys, let me out, it's starting to hurt. It's not like the first time, it's the full moon, it's Allison breaking up with me. I know that we're not on a break, she broke up with me. It's killing me. I feel completely hopeless, just please let me out."
And although he was trying to guilt trip them into letting him go, Jaden shook his head in defiance. "We can't."
And with that, Scott lost it. The full moon painted him with the light and he began screaming incoherent things into the night sky, terrified of himself as the moon took even more effect on him. All three best friends tried to mask his pain by covering their ears. This worked better for Stiles, who didn't have sensitive and hearing, but it seemed to block off some of the yells Scott were making.
Then all of a sudden, it stopped. Just liked that, everything reduced to silence, and it startled the three best friends completely. Eleanor's wrist suddenly felt better, and Stiles tilted his head in confusion. "Scott are you okay?"
When there was no reply, he stood up, followed by the twins, Eleanor still holding her wrist as it began to feel how it normally did. And when they entered the room, Scott was gone.
The only thing left in the room was the bloody handcuffs he had apparently escaped from, and the Eleanor and Stiles fled the room in worry of Scott, jumping into Stiles jeep as they planned to look for him. Jaden decided that he would try to find Scott on foot.
And so the search started.
...
and Eleanor had been in the car for a little over twenty minutes when they came across it. They hadn't spoken much, and they certainly hadn't talked about why either of them were so bothered by the Scott kissing situation.
Stiles jeep slowed down slightly, and Eleanor frowned as she heard him mumble. "Oh, god. Please no. No."
She looked up to see what he did. An ambulance, a stretcher with a dead body, blood everywhere, an abundance of deputy's, and no sheriff.
Tremendously frightened, the pair hauled the car and climbed out, their eyes wide in worry as they scanned the area, trying to find the man they were desperately looking for. Scott couldn't have done this.
"Dad?" Stiles called, his voice shaky and weak.
He ran to a man, grabbing his jacket as he turned him around mistaking him for the Sheriff. He sighed and turned around, calling out again. "Dad?"
Eleanor watched in despair at the unknown figure under the white sheet and prayed that it wouldn't be Noah. For the love of god don't let it be Noah. She could see the burnt hand of the man that had sadly passed away and her heart broke as the deputy tried to hold Stiles back from the body.
That was until a familiar voice called out their names. "Eleanor, Stiles?"
They turned to see Noah, healthy and clad in his uniform, and sighed in immediate relief, both grabbing onto him desperately as they engulfed him into a hug. He seemed taken back by the gesture, but nonetheless complied, before pulling away, opening his mouth to ask several questions about why they were at the crime scene.
However, Eleanor could not help but notice that another car had pulled up, and she tried not to stare as she noticed the passengers were Kate and Chris Argent. Ignoring the Sheriff's questions, Eleanor let her supernatural hearing do its job, listening in to the siblings conversation.
Her hand moved to grab Stiles' as her stare at the ground hardened and after Noah had finished questioning, Stiles moved them away and toward the jeep, his eyes filled with worry.
"Nora? What is it? What's wrong?"
"It's you Stiles." Eleanor started, her eyes moving to meet his as her grip softened. "They think you're the fourth beta."
...
Jaden had texted her, telling her to meet him at Scott's, Eleanor was happily content that they had found Scott. As much as he had stirred shit for the past couple of days, he was her best friend and it wasn't entirely his fault, and she was happy that he was safe.
But, as she entered Scott's room, she did not expect to see who she did, and her breath caught in her throat as he turned around, confirming his identity as he gave a small and sheepish smile.
She ran forward, words not needed as he picked her up slightly, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck as she buried his face in his shoulders, breathing in the familiar scent she knew all too well. He was okay. He was alive. And she didn't want to let go.
"Thank god you're okay." She breathed, although it came as a mumble.
"I'm fine Nora, do you have any faith in me?" He joked, letting her down to her feet as she huffed, rolling her eyes and pushing him playfully.
"So, Scott royally fucked up."
Derek glared, looking down at him. "What the hell did you do."
"Yeah," Scott sucked in a harsh breath, "About that."

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

Tale of the mage hero [Completed]
so I've been into rising of the shield hero for a while now... a lot of things about it ALWAYS bugged me starting with the fact that the world functions like a game and the heroes are supposed to fight together in a party.... BUT WHERE'S THE ARCHMAGE?! THE BLATANT DISRESPECT TO THE MAGE CLASS IS REAL AND ANGERING! so I decided as a gamer who rather enjoys being a mage and healer, I'd rectify that. and other things. for all intents and purposes this is a self insert but I will be using my proxy OC that I use in my nutty fangirl daydreams. DON'T WORRY! I'M NERFING MY PROXY! this will follow the plot of the anime because..... I want to. and I'm..... LAZY~! and using the manga is too much trouble and the light novel is 800+ chapters long. So FUCK THAT! anyways if you read this and think it's lackluster then I want to see you try your hand at writing tate no yuusha fics! no that's not a challenge or insult it's just a desperate plea for more tate fics... we need some more variety! Alright I'm gonna be honest here. This story is laughably bad. So read at your own risk. The only reason I'm not revising it is because 1 I'm Lazy as fuck and 2 to serve as a lesson on what NOT to do for new writers. So like I said, read at your own risk.
