and danger the four best friends endured in the dead of night at a place they were supposed to feel safe, it was hard to pretend everything was normal.
Jaden, Scott and Stiles all agreed that Eleanor and what happened when she was gone was their top priority, and so instead of Jaden taking Eleanor home with him, they all spent the night at the Stilinski household. Sheriff agreed to this almost immediately, only going off what he was told by the teenagers, that Derek had been the one tormenting them. Therefore, Jaden and Eleanor could not go home with the supposed murderer, and would be much safer in the Stilinski household. He had already questioned Jaden and he knew in his heart that the poor teenagers had nothing to do with it. He knew they were not to blame.
As soon as Eleanor had regained consciousness, the boys did everything in their power to make her feel safe and loved, they had no clue what had happened, but they knew it wouldn't have been good. That was the next thing they did. They found out what went on when she had departed from the teenagers.
She opened up about it and told them immediately, something that they were not expecting. The Alpha, as crazy as it sounded, had spoken to her. After trying to save the janitor, the beastly creature had found the youngest Hale, and chased her throughout the many corridors. She deliberately steered clear of where her friends were, but in turn was cornered in the cafeteria, terrified out of her mind. It seemed that the monster smirked, yes smirked, at her horrified expression and whispered something that nobody wanted to hear. I want Scott McCall.
In turn of her admittance, the boys told her of what happened while she was being heroically tormented. Jackson behaved like a total moron, as usual, Allison became even more whiny after Eleanor left, Lydia seemed distant and barely talked and the boys were all worried of what had happened to their best friend. Scott also mentioned that after they had escaped, Allison went on to tell him that they were 'on a break' for 'helping a murderer' and 'telling her lies' which he received little sympathy for. Of course, Eleanor was upset for him, but she was also upset because of him. Throwing Derek under the bus like that was not ideal.
Speaking of, neither Eleanor or Jaden had received any contact with him, and Eleanor had even begun doubting her own supernatural power. It was telling her that he wasn't dead, that he was fine and he had escaped the situation alive, but as hours ticked by she began to think otherwise.
In conclusion to all of the happenings over the past 24 hours, Stiles had decided that he would get the group flat out drunk. For coping purposes, of course.
He hadn't bothered to tell his friends this, for he knew that they would turn him down almost immediately, and so as the four trudged through the forest, the three werewolves had no clue as to why they were following Stiles.
"Where are we going?" Scott groaned, his shoulders slumped in defeat.
"Well," Stiles started, coming to a stop in a clearing of the woods, turning to face his three best friends, "When your best friend gets dumped-"
"I didn't get dumped." He hissed defensively. "We're just taking a break."
"Alright, well when your best friend gets told by his girlfriend that they're taking a break, you get your best friend drunk." As he finished the sentence, he revealed a bottle of Jack Daniels that he had been carrying on their ten minute walk, showing a look of accomplishment.

This look faltered as both Scott and Jaden groaned, instantly disliking the idea. Jaden, because he already knew that the two of them would find it impossible to do such a thing, and Scott because he was not in the mood to drink away his sorrows. Eleanor, however, had decided that she would happily consent to this idea, for she had had enough of the constant obstacles and bullshit in her life, and she could use an escape for the night.
And so, she connected to Stiles almost immediately, grabbing the bottle from his hands, opening it to take a gulp, grinning as she pulled it away from her lips. Within the next twenty minutes, both Stiles and Eleanor were on the floor, giggling and slurring in their drunken state.
Stiles let the Jack Daniels balance on the floor beneath him and rested his head upon the rock Scott and Jaden were sitting on, letting Eleanor rest on his shoulder as he sighed. "You know, dude, she's just one - one girl. There are so many, many more girls in the sea!"
Scott rolled his eyes and let out a light chuckle. "Fish, fish in the sea."
Eleanor frowned, screwing her face up in confusion as she turned to correct Scott. "Fish? Why are you talking about fish, scotty? Stiles is talking about girls!"
"I love them." The drunken boy confessed. "I love girls. Especially ones with dark brown her, hazel eyes, five foot four." He slurred, absentmindedly looking down to his best friend.
Eleanor wasn't paying attention, her alcohol drowned mind thinking about something irrelevant, like the trees swaying in the wind above them. It was stupid really, the one time the one she loves admits his feelings, is the one time she wasn't listening.
Jaden and Scott shared the same look of knowing and giddiness as Stiles confessed what he felt, and Jaden smirked as he nudged Stiles playfully. "You mean Eleanor?"
At the mention of her name, her head lazily rolled to the side to listen in on the conversation. "What about me?"
"Yeah." Stiles confirmed, smiling as he ignored Eleanor's question. "Yeah exactly like Eleanor. How did you know I was talking about - talking about - wait, who was I talking about?"
"Me!" The youngest hale squealed, sending the pair into a fit of hysterics for no particular reason.
This stopped once they realised that Jaden was lounging about on the rocks, his eyes filling with a cast off look as Scott sat in a crouched position, a permanent frown etched upon his lips.
"Hey!" Eleanor pouted, leaning over Stiles to get the bottle they had been drinking from. "You're not happy. Why aren't you happy? Take a drink."
"I don't want anymore." Scott stated coldly, shaking his head.
"You're not drunk? Hey, maybe it's like not needing your inhaler anymore, you know? Maybe it's part of being a werewolf, like you can't get drunk."
Eleanor gasped. "You're so smart! That's exactly it!" She paused, confused. "Wait, am I drunk?"
Jaden looked down, shaking his head in humour at his twin. "You two are completely wasted." This caused them to erupt into more giggling, followed by silence.
"Oh c'mon, I know it sucks. Well I don't know, but I know this, I know that as much as being broken up hurts, I know that being alone is way worse." There was a pause and Stiles was thrown two confused looks, he smiled. "That made no sense, I need another drink."

Eleanor nodded in agreement and reached her hand out to grab the bottle, that was roughly snatched away from her with haste, she looked up to see two men, holding the bottle and laughing in amusement.
Jaden and Scott immediately sat up. "Well look at the three little bitches and their whore getting their drink on!" Jaden growled lowly at the names.
"Give it back."
"What's that little man?" The first man, who had taken the bottle, questioned threateningly.
The second man spoke up. "I think he wants a drink."
"We want the bottle." Jaden demanded, staring at the two lowlifes in front of him and his friends.
"Maybe - Maybe we should just go." Eleanor suggested scooting closer to Stiles as they sat up, their eyes wide.
Scott shook his head, replying to Eleanor while not taking his eyes off the men in front of him. "You brought me here to get drunk, and I'm not drunk yet."
The man chuckled, taking a sip from the bottle as both Jaden and Scott stood up threateningly, moving forward, squaring up to the two men whom seemingly had nothing better to do than steal from teenagers.
"Give me the bottle." Instead of using his voice, the man just smiled and shook his head, causing a change in Scott's eye colour, his demand becoming all the more sinister.
Jaden even seemed taken back, as did the grown men as they widened their eyes, Scott's voice becoming more demonic. "Give me the bottle of Jack."
Eleanor and Stiles seemed to notice their friends fingernails growing, and his breath becoming more ragged, and Stiles pulled Eleanor closer as he warned. "Scott."
The man, seemingly terrified now, slowly handed back the bottle, which Scott took and threw behind him, into the tree, subsequently smashing the glass and obliterating the bottle, causing the two men to jog off, away from the four teenagers.
Immediately, the newly bitten werewolf began stalking back to where the jeep had been parked, leaving Stiles and Eleanor to help each other up as Jaden ran after him. The three friends, drunk or not, were worried.
"Please tell me that was because of the break up." Silence. "Or because tomorrow's the full moon?"
There was no answer, and nobody talked on the way home. But there was one question playing on everyone's mind; what the hell had just happened?
..
a long weekend, four days due to the closing of the school after what had happened, the four teenagers were finally back in the building.
Scott and Jaden had gone off somewhere and Eleanor was with Stiles, sat outside the principals office waiting for the Sheriff to make an appearance. Allison and Lydia most likely hated Eleanor after what had happened, so there was no way that she could hang around with them. Considering Derek's name had been blared across the radio a dozen times that morning, everyone was steering clear of the twins, she felt friendless. Besides Stiles of course, he was her best friend and she liked spending time with him, even if it was to convince the Sheriff to be more careful. Especially if it was to convince the Sheriff to be more careful.
The door opened slowly, and a group of police officers walked out, including Noah, whom raised his eyebrows upon seeing the two. He mumbled something to the police officer next to him and made his way toward the pair.
"Don't you two have a test to get to?"
Eleanor bit her lip and Stiles rolled his eyes. "What's going on? Have you found Derek yet?"
"I'm working on it." he sent Eleanor a sympathetic smile. "Now both of you need to take your test."
Stiles continued to badger his dad about being careful, tonight more than ever, which Eleanor agreed with wholeheartedly. His dad listened, maybe underestimating why they were being so persistent, but nonetheless understood, and sent a look to Eleanor that made her nod and drag her best friend away, toward where their test would take place that day.
The two met up with Jaden and Scott on their way and entered the classroom, Eleanor with her head down, rushing to get to her seat so she could pretend that nobody was staring at her. Jaden and Stiles did this more nonchalantly and Scott stopped in his tracks upon seeing Allison. She grimaced upon their eye contact and he murmured her name as he stepped closer.
The apology reel stopped before it had started by a stern glare and a demand from Mr Harris for 'Mr McCall to get to his seat'. He then proceeded to rant about how long they had to complete the test, what it was worth to their overall grade and how they should all try their best.
Eleanor was too preoccupied listening to Scott's increasing heartbeat to listen to what the teacher was saying, and completely blanked on the sound of the stop watch starting. She could see that Scott was becoming more anxious and prone to noises as the seconds went by, and it came as no surprise when he shot out of his seat and exited the classroom, his breathing heavy and his face creased.
Eleanor immediately stood and followed him out, ignoring the several stares and Mr Harris shouting her name. Stiles and Jaden followed suit, also ignoring their teacher, and followed Eleanor as she picked Scott's abandoned bag and headed into the boys locker room. There was faint arguing to be heard by the two boys and they entered with caution, gravitating toward the sound of the showers running.
They let out a shaky breath they didn't know they were holding as they saw Eleanor holding Scott under the water, stopping him from changing as he breathed heavily.
"Scott?" Jaden questioned, moving forward. "Are you changing?"
"No." He shook, allowing Eleanor to let go of him as he continued to breathe rather heavily and erratically. "I can't, I can't breathe."
The three best friends widened their eyes and Eleanor turned to Jaden, panic etched across her face. "Jade, grab the inhaler from my bag!"
He did as he was told and chucked the device to her as she gave it to Scott, encouraging him to take the ventilin as he nodded, doing as he was told, which helped to calm his breathing to what it was minutes beforehand.
"You have an inhaler in your bag? Why?" Scott questioned, once completely calmed down, his eyes wide in astonishment.
Eleanor shrugged, acting as if it were nothing. "You're my best friend Scott, I never know when you're going to have an asthma attack or something."
"I was having an asthma attack?"
"No." Eleanor replied calmly, pulling him away from the showers and on to a bench. "You were having a panic attack, but making you think you were having an asthma attack stopped your panic attack. Ironic, huh."
"How, how did you do that?" Scott questioned in awe and Eleanor smiled, turning to look at Stiles behind her.
"Stiles used to get them when his mom died, I was there on several occasions."
"Not fun huh?"
"I looked at her and, and it was like someone hit me, hit me hard in the ribs with a hammer." He explained, his eyes cast downwards in heartfelt agony.
"Yeah, it's called heartbreak." Jaden confirmed, leaning against the wall as he stared at Scott in empathy. "Like 2 billion songs wrote about it."
"No." Scott denied. "It was like I could feel everything in the room, everyone else's' emotions. It was insane, I'd never felt like that before. I can't stop thinking about her."
"It's got to the the full moon."
Scott stared at Stiles. "So we'll lock you up in your room later just like we planned. And then the Alpha, who's your boss can't get to you either."
"I think we might have to do a lot more than lock me up in my room. Because if I get out," he looks between Eleanor and Jaden in worry and helplessness, "I think I might kill someone."
..
watched in disgust and pity for Lydia as Jackson wiped something from Allison's lip, sucking on it afterward. Eleanor's mouth crunched in revulsion, completely clueless on how Lydia could even continue to deal with such bullshit like that. It was clear that neither Jackson or Allison cared about the Jydia relationship, it was horrible.
Although she was still angry at Scott for throwing Derek and the twins into the deep end, she could help but feel completely sorry for him as she watched the two laugh and joke together, and decided that she had enough of the train wreck friendship.
She made her way toward the coach's office in silence, trying to distract herself from feeling bad for her friend, and knocked on Finstock's door, smiling as he opened.
"Eleanor! What's up?"
"Hey coach." She laughed at the name, like she did every time she said it. "Is it cool if I start today?"
Eleanor had an agreement with the school, and thanks to Bobby Finstocks persistency, she was allowed to drop her French class and take up Lacrosse. However, she wasn't playing the sport, she was assisting coach. It was something she much preferred to French, and she was now glad she changed, for Allison had taken French too and Eleanor did not know if she could deal with the Argent much more today.
Finstock immediately let her in to the office, handed her his clipboard, a whistle and a stopwatch and let her follow him through the the locker room, where all of the boys were sat waiting.
Eleanor was now used to the stares she had been receiving, and so ignored the several dozen that she encountered as the boys were driven to silence. Coach took no notice to the attention his old foster daughter was receiving and began lecturing the boys.
"Due to the recent pink eye epidemic, thank you Greenberg. The following people have made first line on a probationary basis." Coach took out his list of names from his pocket and began calling out last names. "Rodriguez, Taylor, and uh, Bilinski."
Stiles shot up from his seat in satisfaction, amusing Scott, Jaden and Eleanor as he whooped and hollered at the new position. However, he annoyed the rest of his team mates and Eleanor groaned when she realised Bobby's purposeful mistake.
"Bobby!" She hissed, narrowing her eyes at him as he smirked. "It's Stilinski and you know it's Stilinski." He just chuckled and got back to his list.
"Another thing, from here on out, we are switching to co - captains. Congratulations McCall."
Again, Eleanor Jaden and Stiles immediately grinned at the news, proud of their friend for making it to a new position. Jackson however, was not the least bit happy with this, and stepped forward to question Coach's idea.
"What do you mean? Jackson this takes nothing away from you, this is about taking your unit, McCall's unit, and putting them together to create one big unit. McCall it's you and Jackson now. Everyone else, asses on the field."
Coach blew the whistle and headed to the field along with the rest of the team as Eleanor hung back, watching as Jackson grimaced at her two friends, whom were talking about their new positions. He wasn't impressed, that much was obvious.
"Don't think that we're gonna let this go." Kian, part of Jackson's 'crew', convinced, his hand resting on Jackson's shoulder as he too watched Stiles and Scott leave. "He's not gonna be much of a co - captain in traction."
Eleanor stepped closer, her gaze narrowing at the threat to her best friend, as Danny turned around to say something. "Yeah and he scores more than anyone else."
That made Eleanor smile. It did not make Jackson. "Oh, is that the opinion of my best friend?"
Danny laughed at Jackson's idiotic question. "The opinion of your best friend is, who the hell cares who's captain? He's a good player, and you need to seriously get a grip. Let it go."
