《Outta Her System》Chapter Twenty Six - Ruff Ryders

"Son?" I heard my mom call out causing me to gazed up at her. "Lanae just went to get your prescriptions."
"Aight." I nodded my head before popping the last cinnamon pretzel in my mouth.
"You know you're about to be hot when you walk outside, right?"
I chuckled. "Yeah. I'm only wearin' this hot shi- I mean stuff 'cause it's super brick in here."
"Its brick? Is it that New York slang again?" My mama asked.
I held my laugh in as I nodded my head, "Yes, ma. Brick just mean cold."
"That makes sense." She mumbled as she took a seat in the chair next to mine. She sighed before nodding her head in Lanae's direction. "I love her, son. She's so sweet and gorgeous."
I looked over at Lanae with a smile on my face. She was patiently waiting on a nurse to bring her my medicine. I turned my attention back to my mom, "Yeah, I love her too."
"I know you do. You make sure you keep her happy and never let her go because she is a strong young woman."
"I'm not plannin' to let her go ever." I honestly said. "I don't think I'll be able to."
My mama smiled at me, "Good. Don't do anything to mess this up either, understand?"
"Dang, mama." I chuckled. "You just know imma fuck up, huh?"
"No. I know you wouldn't do anything to intentionally hurt Lanae, but I know how women can be."
"I do too, ma. You ain't got nothing to worry about tho' because I don't talk to that many women. My circle is small, believe it or not."
"Okay." She nodded her head. "Y'all are both perfect for each other."
"Thanks mama." I slightly grinned at her before looking back at Lanae, noticing she was finally getting my medicine. "You still thinkin' about movin' here?"
She hasn't mentioned it to me yet, so I just figured I ask her because I was curious.
"H-how-" She stuttered with shocked eyes.
"I heard bits and pieces of people talkin' to me while I was in the coma. And I remember you sayin' you was thinkin' 'bout movin' to Harlem." I informed her.
"So why the hell didn't you wake up?"
"Ma is that really the only thing you heard outta the whole sentence I just said?"
"Yes, Omari. Maintenant dis-moi." She demanded.
"Mama, I didn't know how to. Trust me, I tried my hardest to wake up, but I never could."
"Mm," she hummed before sighing. "You're correct about me thinkin' about movin' here to Harlem. France is gettin' boring. What you think I should do?"
"I think you should do whatever you want, Ma. I'll be happy if you move here, but you know I love me sum' France every once and awhile."
"And you got the money for it."
"I know, I know." I smirked with my hands raised in a surrending way. "I'm just sayin', but if you wanna move here then do it, mama."
"Oh, Mrs. Hills you're thinkin' about movin' here?" Lanae asked as she sat down on the other side of me.
"Yes, honey. You think I should?" My mama asked Lanae like I ain't just tell her.
"Yes ma'am." Lanae smiled, "I'll show you around and everything, if you'd like me to."
"Lanae, I would love for you to show me around."

"Yeah, we both c-"
"No, no, no. Omari, we'll be fine when the time comes, plus I wanna have some one on one girl talk with her." My mama winked at Lanae causing her to blush a little.
"Girl talk? What the fuck is t- mama damn, I'm sorry." I hissed as I rubbed the back of my neck. She just pimp slapped my shit.
"Your mouth is gonna get you in trouble, Mar." She pointed at me as I heard Lanae snickering beside me. "You know I don't like you cussing in front of me."
"My bad, it just slipped out."
"I bet it did." She shook her head at me before standing up from her seat. "You guys ready?"
Lanae looked at me, wondering the same thing.
"Y'all already know I'm ready to go." I said standing up, "I've been in here too long."
As we all started to head out, Lanae gave me a look before pointing towards the chair I was sitting in. My eyes drifted over to it only to notice that I left my trash there.
I looked back at her and shrugged my shoulders, "They'll clean it up."
"Omari." She squinted her eyes at me.
"I'm just playin'." I laughed before picking up my empty Auntie Annie's cup and napkins.
I threw it away once we passed the trash can right before we walked outside. The sun immediately beamed on my face causing me to squint my eyes.
"Dang, I almost forgot what the sun felt like."
Lanae laughed. "Mar, be quiet."
"For real. I haven't been outside in ah minute."
"Yeah, make sure you enjoy it before it starts getting cold." My mama said before walking over to a black Cadillac. "I ended up parking close. Y'all gimme some hugs before I go."
Lanae gave her a hug. "It was nice seein' and meetin' you again, Mrs. Hills."
"Honey likewise." My mama smiled at her once they both pulled away. "Make sure you keep him out of trouble for me."
"I will." Lanae promised, taking a step back.
"Mama, I ain't gon' get in no trouble." I smirked before pulling her into a tight hug. "I love you."
"I love you too, Omari." She whispered and squeezed me a little. "You be safe, okay?"
"Aight. You be safe too." I uttered, pulling away before placing a kiss on her forehead.
She unlocked her car doors and said, "Okay."
After I made sure she got into the car and pulled off safely, me and Lanae began making our way to her car. My car was back at my house since it took so long for me to wake up.
"You and your mom have a good relationship." Lanae smiled at me, "I remember back then you use to be so stubborn. You wouldn't give her a chance to talk things out wit' you."
I nodded my head. "I know," I paused moving Lanae over, so I was the one near the street instead of her. "But you're the reason why I finally spoke to her."
She gazed at me with curiosity, "Why?"
"Because." I smirked at her, "yo' ass went M.I.A. and it showed me that life is too short."
"See, at least one good thing came out of me leavin'." I side eyed her causing her to laugh, "For real, you know everything happens for ah reason."

"Mhm," I hummed, pulling her into my side. "Just don't do that shit again."
"I'm not." She said in a sincere tone before pointing to her car, "We gotta cross."
I grabbed her hand while looking both ways. We both started crossing the street once we noticed no cars were nearby.
As I opened my mouth to speak, Lanae said. "It's aight. I know how to get to your house."
She opened the door on the driver's side causing me to raise an eyebrow.
"When you learn how to get to my house?"
"While you were in a coma. One day I used the navigation to get to your house, just because I missed you. After that day, I sometimes would go to your house after the visitin' hours ended."
"Oh mon Dieu." I mumbled under my breath before hopping inside of the passenger seat.
"What?" Lanae questioned as she got inside of the car as well and turned it on.
I shook my head at her as she backed out of her parking space before driving towards the exit of the hospital.
"So you tellin' me yo' ass was out drivin' around late at night?"
She looked at me before turning out of the parking lot and onto a slightly busy street. "Yeah, I was and I know I shouldn't have, but.."
"You can't even come up wit' ah good enough excuse." I said, knowing she couldn't come up with anything to say.
"I had a reason, I just know you're not gonna think it was good enough."
I sighed as we stopped at a traffic light. "Just don't do that shit again, aight? I don't need you out here by yo' self late at night."
"Okay Mar." She smiled at me before resuming to drive once the light turned green.
"Oh yeah, I'm not goin' home just yet." I informed her causing her to give me a quick glance.
"What do you mean?"
"I needa handle sum' business. I want you to drop me off at the trap."
"Okay." She nodded her head. "Am I goin' the right way? 'Cause I don't know where it's at."
"Yeah, you is. I'll tell you the rest of the directions while you drive." I told her causing her to nod her head.
After helping her get to the trap, she parked in front of it and took her seatbelt off.
"Fuck is you doin'?" I questioned.
"I know what you're about to do, so I'm comin'."
"Nah, yo' ass stayin' in this car- matter fact you leavin'." I stated while grabbing her keys and starting the engine back up.
"Omari." She shook her head, "No, I'm comin' in there. I need the closure."
"Closure?" I scrunched up my face and leaned back in my seat.
"Yes."
"Me killin' his ass should be the only closure you need." She gave me a blank stare. "What, man?"
"That's not closure, Omari." She said in a serious tone.
"Explain to me what the fuck is." I demanded.
"Don't fuckin' talk to me like that." Lanae glared at me.
"I don't have time for this shit, B. All I want to do is finish business and head the fuck home. Is that too much to ask?"
"Is closure too much to ask?" She shot back.
I stared at her, annoyed that she was even doing this shit right now. I wasn't in the mood to argue. All I want to do is handle business and chill at home with her ass, but here she is trying to be difficult.
"Why you tryna argue wit' ah nigga, huh?"
Lanae sighed. "I'm not, Omari. I just," she paused, "nevermind you can just go in there."
I analyzed her body language and noticed that she was done with the situation, but also mad things ain't go her way.
"Look," she glanced at me. "You don't need no closure from that nigga, aight? Deon was never yo' real friend 'cause if he was he would've never tried to kill somebody you were close to. Yes, I ended up killin' his cousin, but I didn't know. Plus I don't owe that nigga no loyalty."
Lanae nodded her head. "I hear you."
"You hear me, but do you understand?"
"I understand."
My niggas informed me about Deon's cousin dying in the hospital while I was still asleep. He didn't make it for long. He died five days after I slipped into a coma.
"C'mere." I said before pulling her to me and wrapping my arms around her waist. "I understand what you are tryna do, but talkin' to him ain't gon' help."
Lanae buried her face in the crook of my neck before groaning, "I hate it when you're right."
I chuckled as I pulled away from her. "I know you do." I kissed her forehead and mumbled, "I love you."
"I love you too."
I sat back in the passenger seat and gazed out the window and towards the trap. It seemed deserted on the outside, but I knew all my niggas were inside. All the Slum Money members were waiting on me to off this nigga Deon. They were tired of him breathing and taking up space. To tell you the truth, I am too.
"You want me to wait out here until you're done?" Lanae asked.
I turned my head in her direction and gazed into her brown eyes.
"Nah," I answered, "I don't know how long imma take, so I'll have somebody drop me off home. Later on tho' I want you to come through."
"Okay." Lanae grinned a little.
I opened the car door and hopped out before closing it and leaning against it. I ducked my head to where I could see her face. "Be careful, aight?"
"Same to you." Lanae said.
I licked my lips before smiling. "Baby, yo' man stay careful."
She playfully rolled her eyes at me before switching her gear to drive. "Mhm, you better stop playin' before you don't make it inside of that trap. I missed you, so you needa make this business quick."
"You sound like you tryna kidnap me on the low." I smirked.
"I would if I could." She flashed me a quick smile before her face became serious.
"Yo' crazy ass." I laughed. "Text me when you get home."
"I will," she spoke as I backed away from the car and quickly made my way onto the porch.
After watching her drive off, I heard the locks being unlocked. The door opened and revealed JB and Louie standing side by side.
Before I could lecture them about opening up the door so carelessly, Louie stopped me by saying, "We heard yo' voice and saw you out there talkin' to Lanae, so we opened the door for you."
I shook my head before smiling, "Aight, man. Wassup tho'? Everybody here?"
"Yeah," Louie confirmed as he shook hands with me. "We all ready for you to off this nigga once and for all."
"Hell yeah." I agreed before dapping JB up.
"Let's do this, G." JB smirked evilly.
All three of us walked down the staircase before opening up the metal door. Instantly, the foul smell of blood and flesh filled my nostrils as I stepped inside of the room where everyone was at. Slum Money members surrounded Deon, who was in the center of the room.
If I wasn't so use to seeing horrid shit, I would've probably threw up as soon as I laid eyes on Deon. The gang really put a number on him. They cut all his toes off, including some of his fingers. They shot one of his ears off. His body was covered in blood from the cuts and bruises scattered all over his figure. I'm surprised he's still breathing.
"Damn," I chuckled. "Y'all niggas basically then did everything."
"You know we all had to torture this mothafucka'." Oscar said.
"Hell yeah. This nigga wasn't finna sit here untouched." Sunny added.
I nodded my head in agreement. "No doubt, but damn.. y'all niggas had all the fun wit' out me."
Call me heartless or whatever you want, but I wanted to see this nigga suffer. I wanted to cause Deon more pain then he ever caused me and my family.
I glanced around before my eyes landed on a can full of acid. I walked over to it and swiftly grabbed it.
"Wake that nigga up." I ordered causing Nick to step up to Deon's body and repeatedly tap him on his face.
"Get up, bitch! Let's go." Nick demanded.
When I finally stood beside Nick, I watched Deon's eyes slowly flutter open. They moved from side to side before landing on Nick and then moving onto me. His eyes grew so damn big, I thought one of them was going to pop out.
I smirked at him, "Remember me?"
Fear filled his orbs as he began wheezing.
"Calm down, dawg. Imma put you outta yo' misery soon, just not yet." I uttered looking down at the can of acid as I peeled it open carefully.
He began crying, but I noticed they were muffled.
"The fuck wrong wit' this nigga? He got sum' in his mouth or sum'?"
"I cut his tongue off." Bean shrugged as if he did that shit everyday.
"Dead ass?" I questioned before forcing his mouth open to see that his tongue was indeed missing.
"Yeah, man. His bitch ass wouldn't shut the fuck up." He spat while mugging Deon.
"You wild, nigga." I laughed.
"Hell yeah." Chris chimed in, walking closer to the center of the room.
"Anybody got sum' gloves?" I asked, randomly.
Most faces scrunched up in confusion since it was the summer time.
"Man, what you on?" Nick side eyed me.
I smacked my lips, "On sum' smart nigga shit. I ain't finna be fuckin' wit' this acid without gloves."
"Ohhh." Everybody laughed around the room.
These niggas can be slow sometimes, I thought to myself.
"Nah. We ain't got no gloves, B." Oscar informed.
"That's too bad." I mumbled. "Imma have to use this acid for something else then."
I placed the lid back on before setting the can down on the floor.
"My nigga tryna do sum' damage." I heard Kenny laugh.
You damn right I was.
I squatted down in front of Deon, watching him trying to squirm away from me. "I told you to leave before you regretted talkin' to me. Now look at chu'. Yo' ass then got tortured and you finna be six feet under."
He looked at me with pleading eyes, but I didn't feel one ounce of sympathy.
"Lemme see one of y'alls guns." I blurted out as I stood up straight.
Chris whipped his pistol out before handing it over to me. I took it off of safety before aiming the gun right at Deon's left arm before shooting it twice.
His loud screams echoed throughout the room.
"For ah nigga who don't got no fuckin' tongue, you sure is screamin' loud as fuck." I said before shooting him in his other arm.
He screamed once again, but I didn't care.
By the time I let out half of the anger I was feeling, Deon was barely living. I shot him so many times, all I seen was bullet holes covering his body.
"Damn Lucky." Chris chuckled.
"Right, this nigga was actin' like he was in call of duty or sum' shit. Reloadin' the clips and shit." Bean said in between laughs.
