《The Founders》04

It's almost midnight, Lee and Nesrin walk over the hallways on their way to the kitchens. "So you really like this boy huh?" Lee asks smiling in the corridors.
"I don't know Lee, I never wanted to be with someone so badly before. I don't know what it is, but it seems like I can only think about him." She replies looking down at the ground.
"You my friend are in love." Lee says happily. "It happens to all of us, eventually." He adds.
"I don't know if I wanna be in love with someone! I made a plan the moment I got my letter. First my grades, then my future and then boys." She replies.
"You can't just plan out life Nes, life will plan it out itself. No one can predict the future, even Sybil isn't a frickin fortune cookie." Lee says making her laugh.
They reach the kitchen door and open it. They walk inside and see, as predicted the same group of Slytherins as the night before. "What the hell are you filthy Gryffindors doing here again?" Draco asks.
"Getting snacks duh! Besides, the kitchen is not Slytherin territory, we can get ourselves food too." Lee replies annoyed. Draco rolls his eyes.
"What's wrong Draco? They're just getting some food like us." Edmund asks confused. He still doesn't get why Gryffindors and Slytherins hate on each other all the time, especially Draco.
"Because their not worth it! They think they're all brave and valiant but their not! Those people are just stupid mudbloods!" Draco shouts pointing at Nesrin.
"Say that one more time and you won't have that finger to point at her again!" Edmund replies walking up to Draco, him being taller then Draco making Draco scared. Nesrin can't believe her eyes.

"Alright I was just joking men, chill!" Draco replies lying which Edmund knows, but he doesn't want to make a big deal out of it now so he leaves it.
Lee and Nesrin have gotten all the snacks they wanted and turn to leave. Nesrin and Edmund share a brief look and smile at each other before she leaves. When the Slytherins are alone Draco turns back to the dark haired boy.
"What was that men? Are you coming up for those morons now?" Draco asks totally shocked by his new 'friend' helping a Gryffindor.
"Yes! There is no reason for being mean, as far as I know, Nesrin never did anything to make you hate her so much!" Edmund replies angrily now.
Lee and Nesrin enter the Gryffindor common room and put the snacks down looking at each other still shocked about Edmund coming up for them. "What happened? You seem like you've seen ghosts?" Harry asks smiling.
"It was even weirder!" Lee replies while sitting down. "Draco called Nesrin a filthy mudblood and Edmund came up for her! He threatened Draco!" He explains.
"Edmund came up for Nesrin?" Hermione asks surprised. "Wow girl, he must really like you."
"What did he exactly say to Draco?" George asks curious now. I mean do you blame him?
"Edmund told Draco that if he'd say that again he wouldn't have a finger left to point at me." Nesrin replies complete shocked as to anyone would stand up for her like that.
"Wow! That's pretty cool of my little brother." Peter says surprised himself. He knew Edmund would be all for justice but didn't know he would stand up to his new friend for a girl of a different house.
They all talk and eat some of the snacks when they hear a loud noice coming from one of the dorms. "What the bloody hell was that?" Ron asks startled.

"George, that was our room!" Lee replies jumping up. Him and George run inside their room only to see Fred on the ground next to his bed.
"What happened?" George asks confused and worried at the same time, although even he needs to admit that it looked pretty funny.
"I think I fell out of my bed Georgie." Fred says. George doesn't know what to say, this is the first time his twin had called him Georgie.
"Yeah well, what did you consume today?" George asks confused. Fred just shakes his head and lays back on his bed. George and Lee leave the room and turn to the confused faces in the common room.
"I think Fred had a wild night." Is all Lee could say. Idiots. Nesrin thought. She couldn't believe she had been friends with them for four years now.
After a long night eating and talking they went to their dorms, Hermione having a fight with Ginny sleeps in Nesrin's room. "I just can't believe Ginny doesn't see that Peter and I are a better match." Hermione says frustrated.
"Yeah, bizarre right?" Nesrin replies half listening to Hermione's story. Her thoughts are on a different place. Does he like her? Is that why he stood up for her? Or is he just acting nice?
"Are you even listening?" Hermione's worried voice snaps Nesrin back to reality. She looks up to her friend looking at her and shakes her head.
"Sorry Mione, I just ... I'm tired and confused. We should really get some sleep and talk tomorrow. Besides isn't Peter too old for both of you?" Nesrin asks making Hermione yawn.
"I don't think age is more then a number, Peter is adorable and mine! If Ginny likes it or not!" Hermione says before the light goes out and both girls slowly drift to sleep.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
