《Jade *COMPLETED*》Chapter 14

Jade POV
The months passed and the Cullen's left with Bella, never to come back. Everyone on the reservation was ecstatic with the news and held a bonfire on the First Beach, lasting until dawn.
My relationship with Paul became very serious. So serious that we decided to move in together at his place. We both finished high school and went to college where Paul studied engineering, whilst I studied Biological Sciences.
When we finally graduated from college, Paul proposed to me in-front of everyone in the hall. I really thought that I would combust from the heat in my cheeks as he kneeled down in-front of me with a black velvet box in his hand.
"Jade, this is not the way I wanted to propose to you," Paul began when I cut him off.
"Yeah, no shit Sherlock," I commented making everyone laugh.
"But when I saw," Paul continued, "all thoughts vanished and I knew from the beginning, even when I first met you, you were the one for me. When I first met you, I was a hot-headed womaniser that didn't care about anything or anyone. Until I met you. The moment our eyes met, I forgot about everything and made everything in my life be about you. There is no day or night when I don't think about you and our future."
At this point I began to tear up. I never thought that Paul would be capable of doing something like this. Why did I ever doubt my feelings for him?
"What I'm trying to say, in-front of you and everyone here....is that I love you and want to spend my life with you," Paul said as he opened the box and showed me the ring, a beautiful smile on his face. "Jade Black, you are the love of my life and I cannot imagine my life without you. Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?"

I heard shouts of 'Say yes' and 'yes' and many more which made the two of us laugh. Suddenly a microphone appeared out of nowhere in-front of my lips. I looked at our headmaster who shrugged his shoulders, urging me on to answer.
I leaned closer to the microphone and opened my mouth.
"Yes!"
Everyone literally screamed, cheered and clapped as Paul stood up and lifted me up, twirling us around as loud claps of approval and praise were shouted. I looked at him with so much love that I didn't care about anything else happening.
He put me down gently and put the ring onto my finger, making me gasp at how beautiful it was. It is a golden-rose ring with a lavender diamond with tiny diamonds in the band. How could Paul afford this? It probably costed more then our rent.
"I love you Jade Black."
"I love you too, Paul Lahote."

Saga of the Soul Dungeon
When Caden dies in an accidental fall, he is merged with a dungeon core in another world. The problem with that? The dungeon core wasn't dead, and he has share mind-space with it. And that doesn't take into account mastering his new abilities well enough to escape from the powerful wizard that is, understandably, leery about allowing a dungeon to escape. Even after he manages to escape he needs to found and manage a dungeon. Of course the location he chose might have a few issues of its own. He is on the border of two human nations who are not particularly pleased to share. A sentient plant race claims the dungeon as sacred ground. And, amidst the chaos, teams of adventurers just want to make a living and figure out how to deal with the latest challenge. Just so readers know, Caden is not a murder-hobo. He is a genuinely nice person trying to make the best of his situation. If you want a main character that revels in killing people, this is not the book for you. This is a reworking, and continuation, of my original novel into first person. And it is going great! The writing is well past where my original novel got to. This work will never be dropped. Hiatuses may happen due to life, but I will never abandon this fiction. Currently 20+ chapters on Patreon
