《Jade *COMPLETED*》Chapter 13

Jade POV
Today is the day of the battle, the day that I probably dreaded the most. Me and the girls were currently at Emily's with our men standing in-front of us.
I looked down at mine and Paul's joined hands, wondering what I will do if I never see them or their owner ever again. Over the few weeks that me and Paul have been together, holding his hands or feeling them explore my body have been a true blessing to me.
"I really wish you and the pack didn't fight," I whisper knowing that he heard me.
"Same here, but unfortunately Jake got us into this mess and now we have to suffer because of him," Paul replied with a sad smile on his face, "but at least he has an imprint now, and I'm very happy that it's someone like you."
I smiled at his words. "Paul, I know that it may be too early to tell you this but-"
"Alright let's go!" Sam suddenly spoke up, cutting me off. I sighed whilst Paul growled at the interruption.
"I'll tell you later," I say with an unknown tone.
"Are you sure?" Paul asked as he looked into my eyes searching for any sign of hesitation.
I nodded in response and kissed his lips lightly before pulling away and walking back to the house as the pack ran and transformed into their wolves.
"What ever are we going to do now?" Cleo asked as we sat around Emily's round table. None of us answered as we waited for our men to come back home, and alive.
As time passed by, Emma and Emily cooked for the pack while Rikki practiced lighting wood on fire, while me and Cleo just sat staring into space.

"What are you thinking about?" Cleo asked, breaking the peaceful silence.
"How I should have stayed in Gold Coast," I replied honestly, "because then there wouldn't be these negative thoughts running through my mind."
"Do you regret coming back?" Emma asked as she came out of the kitchen and joined us at the table.
"No, but there's this heaviness in my heart that I just cannot ignore," I replied. "I'm actually very happy that I came back and met the pack, but knowing that they are risking their lives for some pale ass licking vampire girl makes my blood boil."
The girls laughed when suddenly Rikki came inside with a huge smile on her face. "They're back."
The girls laughed and cheered as they ran outside and probably to their men. I instead sat in my seat and tried to erase all negative thoughts before Paul came in.
He smiled at me whilst I stood up and jumped onto him, wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. My lips met his as he held me tightly in his arms. He's safe, he's back.
"I told you I'll come back," he chuckled making me smile. "Now will you tell me what's bothering you?"
"Later," I reply before attacking his lips again.
Right now I didn't care about anything but just him and me.

Living in Paradise
The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. To them it was pretty boaring with the only thing interesting about my world being was a higher than average tech level for a non-spacefaring civilization; technology that wouldn't even work in this new world. All I brought with me was a peculiar mindset and the strong suspicion that there must be something more to life. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?

However, thanks to a prank by his best friend slash mortal enemy, Henry finds himself farting around in the starting zone yet again. This time he is accompanied not by the gaming world's elite but by the turbonoobs that are his real-life mates, the monkey zoo of incompetent social gamers they attract, and one braindead idealist who thinks he can somehow mould this bunch of trash into a guild capable of toppling the very regime Henry is leading. The Archaic Elements
A fantasy world, its own unique power-up system, some mystery aspects to make it look interesting and an MC that should make sense but well messes up, cause plot. Flashy fights. Characters will use their brain, unless it is an arrogant young master that needs to be taught a lesson. The starting is slow and maybe boring. The main MC does not desire great strength or harbor any great ambition. He starts out as a naive, lazy and a boring person. But the story does hold one aspect which will fuel the growth of our MC, which is his boundless curiosity for adventure and his will to explore. The second MC is a reincarnation/transmigration and he has a clear cut aim that he needs to achieve. His past life experiences also becomes a pillar that will help guide the main MC, while his friend also supports him. The writing is slow and steady. I will provide reasonings behind most happenings and keep it a logical story. It's a WIP as I edit the previous chapters even as I release more, so while the content doesn't change, the style and smoothness improve. The current release rate is 3 chapter/week. There is no specific date as I can get sidetracked or forgetful., but I will try to stick to Tues, Thurs and Sunday releases.

A Ten Pound Bag
A serial saga with short chapters published each and every morning to read over your coffee or tea. This is a "versus life" story with no great evil to face just life in a hard place during a hard time. Our hero and his companions get catapulted back in time and must find a way to not only survive but prosper. This story is definitely "R" rated maybe even NC-17 but don't expect explosions, blood and orgasms at every page turn. Bad words and uncomfortable topics are addressed in this story, this is not for every reader. This is a technical story and develops slowly at first, full technical details, maps and research are available over on Patreon. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I am. -Emmeran
