Jade POV

"You're kidding!" Rikki exclaimed making me laugh at her reaction while Emma and Cleo covered their ears at the loudness. "Girl, so apparently to something that happened to your ancestors, you are a werewolf's soulmate?"

I shrugged my shoulders and raised my hands in question. "Apparently so. But I have no clue whether he can actually transform into one yet, so I'll be looking out for any signs to see him transforming."

"Jade just promise us that you'll be careful," Emma said making me nod, "we don't want anything to happen to you." I love the fact that Emma had this 'Mum' persona while Rikki had the 'Dad' role and Cleo had the 'sibling' role with me. We were like a family back in Gold Coast, and that will never change even with millions of gallons of water between us.

"Yeah, and it'll be weird if it's only the three of us and not four," Cleo added making me smile.

"Don't worry, I'll be extra careful and besides, I don't think they suspect anything as they didn't see me when they came onto the beach." My words calmed the girls down as we continued to catch up on what happened since I left.

After talking to the girls for about an hour, we finally ended our call and went to do our own things, with me going to get shopping and possibly new cleaning materials and toiletries.

I put on a pair of long jeans, boots and a hoodie over my long shirt before taking my bag which held my phone, headphones, money, and ID. Satisfied with my look, I left the comfort of my room to see that Jake brought his friends over and were talking with Dad.

"Hi Jadie," Dad said with a kind smile. I love Dad's smile, it's always so genuine.

"Hi Dad, is it okay if I borrow your car? I need to go shopping," I say as Jake and his friends stared at me. Here we go again with the creepy stares.

"Sure, but do you know where you are going? I don't want you to get lost," Dad said, his voice full of concern.

"I promise I'll be fine. Besides I got GPS on my phone, so I'll find my way fine," I said with a smile when suddenly I heard the noise of water. I quickly looked around to look for the source of it and saw that it was raining outside. Just what I needed. "On a second thought, I'll go another day. Sorry to bother you lot."

I turned around when I heard Jake call my name. "Yes?" I asked with an innocent smile on my lips.

"Is everything okay with you? When we were younger you loved going out into the rain," Jake said making memories come back. But that was then, this is now.

"Yeah well I don't like rain anymore Jake, it makes me miserable and I have no intention of going out into that sky drool," I said with a growl before going back into my room. I did not know why on earth I growled, but it didn't feel good for me to snap like that. What if they hate me now?

I closed my door and threw my bag onto my bed before throwing myself onto my bed. Just why does it have to rain in La Push? Does the world really want to know that mermaids exist? I guess the rain won't be in my favour here.

I just hope that the girls are having a better day than me.

Paul POV

I stared in the direction of my imprint's room as she left the room and slammed her door after she entered hers. I wonder why she snapped like that? It's only rain. Or like she said, sky drool.

"Well that was unexpected," Sam said making everyone nod.

"She shouldn't have behaved like that us in our presence," Jake growled snappily, making my attention shift to his.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me, Lahote," Jake snapped again, "my sister should have known better than to act like a brat."

"She is your sister, Black," I replied just a snappily as this teenager in-front of me with a mind of a five year old. "She does not know who we are and what we are capable of. And you should also watch your mouth, your Dad is sitting right next to you."

Jake's gaze softened and turned to look at his Dad. "Just give her time to adjust Jake. La Push is not the Gold Coast. She will get used the rain again and not the scorching sun. Just give her time, son."

Jake nodded as I turned my attention back to my imprint's bedroom. I now wonder how much did she hear of our conversation on the beach.

I just hope she didn't hear the imprint part.
