《clueless | goodguyfitz |》chapter 13

"anyway, i thoughts we would all explain about our absence." fitz swallowed harshly and looked to his friends. "we have been gone for a while because we are trying to find closure...
"many nights ago we all threw a party and invited a bunch of people to celebrate toby reaching 700k . fucking mason decided to have strangers invited, which we will never do again... that night turned into a giant game of clue, audrey, care to explain." he was obviously choked up, and i couldn't stand to watch the sight.
"we are sad to tell that toby was shot... we were locked into the misfits manor for three days with the constant feeling of guilt. whilst we tried to escape, jay was also.. killed." everyone had their head down, and i knew i was only bringing the mood down as tears began to swell in my eyes. "but, they lived a grand life, one many can't say they had. so, as i've said many times before, let's celebrate their life."
"right." swagger announced, fixing his posture. "anyway, why don't we talk about audrey!" my head shook as i smirked. "so, what made you so fucked. why are you who you are?"
"huh?" i think for a moment. "well i'm an extremely anxious alcoholic whose attention span doesn't last longer than 2 seconds. and i hang out a with a handful of losers on a daily basis."
"oh god shut the hell up." mason sighed and banged his head on the table. "can we talk about a past memories of audrey!?" mason was practically jumping in his seat.
"like the time when i came to visit and you were totally scuffed."
"what time was that? literally all three years y'all have known me, i was scuffed as fuck."

"true." matt added in with a slight smile. "but i think i remember this."
"anyway, so me and cam came down to visit you and matt. so you were up in your room and when you came down-"
"oh my god!" matt shouted, instantly remembering.
"you were not dressed to say the least, and you didn't see the downside of it! you fucking came out of your room, smoke following behind you as you were fucking naked." everyone began taking their laughter to the next level as my face became a deep red.
"oh my god, shut up!" i hissed as i folded my arms.
-
whilst we walked out of the room we just wrapped up in, everyone went up to their room, not caring what i did. i purses my lips and trailed up the stairs behind everyone, watching as they went their separate ways.
bursting open the door, i watched as matt fell onto his bed and groaned with annoyance. "mason, get the hell out." the american cursed.
"not mason, but okay."
"no, no wait! audrey i'm sorry." i fell onto his bed as well and watched as he played with his recently cut hair. "so, what's up?" his voice was deep but calm from the recent topics we spoke of.
"i miss jay." i mumbled and cover my face with my hands. "i miss you." i felt his weight shift off of the bed, but felt it instantly be replaced on either sides of me. the bed indented as he hovered over me, a serious expression spreading across his face.
"audrey, i've been wanting to hold you for so long. when i heard you moved back to melbourne, my heart flew to your service." he gushed as he brushed the hairs that fell around my face away. "don't think i haven't noticed your stares and your actions. but, i want you to tell me this is what you want before i do it." i didn't know exactly what he meant, i didn't know how far he would take it, but out of instinct, my head nodded.

leaning down, his lips connected to mine, an instant shock wave crashing against my body, yet it wasn't how i imagined it to be all these years later. it was almost fake. his body was being held up from his two arms that sat beside my hips, making it impossible for me to squirm away, which in fact i didn't want to do at this point. "aye, matt you seen audrey?" my eyes shot open, realizing it was cam.
"yeah, she's right here." matt rolled his eyes and turned to cam with an expression i couldn't even mimic. "do you fucking know how to knock?" he just stood there, astonished with the sight he walked in on. "cam, get the hell out!"
"s-sorry, matt." my heart sunk down to my stomach as i was now matt's main focus. oh god, no i couldn't continue with this.
"m-matt, i gotta go." i whispered, sliding out from under him. "i'm sorry." he was obviously irritated with my decision, but knew it was only rational to let me off without an argument.
"it's fine. don't worry about it. but now i have to go take a could shower." he whined, waltzing out of the room to head to the bathroom in a hurry.
rushing down the stairs i noticed cam sat on the couch, watching as swagger continued his anime game i couldn't grasp the name of. this time, a blond girl was sitting in a bubble bath with wine in her hands, but the bubbles were slowly fading away with each match he got on the mini game beside it. "i-i'm heading out." i stuttered, clearly embarrassed from what just happened.
"bye, want me to walk you out?" swagger questioned, pausing his main hobby. "or, cam can." he hummed, staring back at the tv. my eyes looked to cam, but he didn't look back, he just stared emotionless at the screen in front of him.
"no-no, it's fine. i'll be fine." i frowned, yanking open the front door. "bye." nobody responded, but i knew they acknowledged my farewell. dammit, why am i so dumb!? why do i always make those heat of the moment decisions and have them end up coming out wrong? i just wish i could at least make one right decision. but with matt, there is always a down fall.

Descendants of Cosmia
Reefa, Wellor, Rozo and Auri are four teenagers trying to get through life living in a village surrounded by the barren sands of the Hariq Desert; a village isolated from the walls of the 9 Monarchs of Cosmia. The world that lies beyond the walls involves the social segregation between humans and Haaras. Haaras are people with the ability to control elements of water, air and earth, whilst humans cannot obtain this power at all. Reefa had always thought of herself to be a human with no type of elemental wielding. However, after many reoccurences throughout her childhood in which she hears the voices of people that speak in the future, she has doubts about who she really is inside. The same phenomenon happens when she is 15 years-old, but this time the voices she hears alerts her of a future attack that will happen to the people of her village. When the time had come, Reefa and her friends escape their predicament and travel to the east towards the land of dragons known as Tetranazia. Bearing in mind the last words her aunt told her with a heavy heart, she must protect her friends from the dangers ahead and venture into the walls to search for the answers of the attack. This is an original English light novel (OELN). There will be several visuals of characters and world-building as you read this novel. The story's genre is mainly Shonen-influenced Josei and Fantasy. Do note that the story is slow-paced in development, so it might not be to your liking. I'll be updating 2 new chapters every month on the 25th (SGT).(I'm doing it monthly because I have to consider the pile of college workload I have (;_;) and I'll need extra time on drawing the illustrations) Occasionally, I'll do Bonus Releases, where I release more than 2 chapter in the next monthly update Feel free to give me feedback on my story. I will very much appreciate it! (ノ´∀`) I created this story on Scribble Hub, so you can also check it out over at their platform.

This diabolical phenomenon lurks within every man, woman, and child. It can turn any human into a demon, if they fall prey to one, all-consuming element. It can be anything. Fear. Grief. Generosity. Even love. In a land where Gods are real and Corcaea's theocracy is the last hope for mankind, you follow in the footsteps of Father Richard Anscham: a deeply disturbed young priest, the leader of the Church of Mercy, and the foremost researcher of the Catalyst. Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. See through the harrowing eyes of a man at his wit's end; through a dark fantasy tale of horror, hope, and desperation. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst! As this is an archive of Catalyst Quest (an interactive, collaborative story), the prompts that were included with the original run of Avowed have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete! The story will continue with Catalyst: Calunoth, just as soon as I am done revising its content for here on Royal Road.
