It has been six months since I asked Daphne to be my girlfriend and it has been a great eight months. My feelings for her continue to grow every single day. When I see her laugh or do simple tasks, I just smile stare and smile because she is a very beautiful woman. If I catch her singing, I just watch her the entire time until she's finished or until she notices me standing there watching her. When I'm with her, I find myself thinking about how even more radiant she would look carrying my child and how radiant she would look holding that same child. I know it sounds corny, but I can see myself possibly marrying her some day and having kids with her.
"Samuel, are you listening to me?" She asked.
"Hm? Sorry, Daphne. I zoned out," I answered with a small smile.
"You've been zoning out a lot today," She tells me.
"Sorry. Just thinking about something," I apologized.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked with a small smile.
"About me and you," I simply stated.
"Oh," She nods. She turns her attention back to the stars above. We were laying on a large blanket in a grassy field. Our fingers were intertwined with each other as we laid there.
"Moon dust in your lungs, stars in your eyes. You are a child of the cosmos, a ruler of the skies," She quoted perfectly. I raised our hands and I kissed hers softly.
"Beautiful," I softly said.
"I know right. I got it off the internet," She said. We both started to laugh.
"What time is it?" She asked after we calmed down.
"It is...." I looked at my phone, "Fifteen minutes to eleven."

"It feels like we just got here," She looked down at our hands. I set my phone down beside me.
"Yeah it does," I agreed.
"Do you ever....I don't know....think about marriage?" She queried.
"Sometimes I do," I honestly responded.
"You do?" She asked in astonishment.
"Yes I do," I looked at her.
"I didn't think guys thought about it," She tells me truthfully.
"Well most guys, like myself, think about marriage while others don't because they are scared of commitment," I explained.
"I see," She nods.
"I am not trying to sound rude at all and I apologize if I do, but what made you bring up the topic of marriage?" I asked her. She looks back up at the stars.
"To be honest, I'll find myself thinking about us and what the future will hold for our relationship. Or sometimes I'll think about how it would be if we got married," She replied.
"That's odd," I remarked.
"I'm sorry if I sound weird," She started to ramble.
"No no no no no no. I meant that it was odd because I think about that sometimes as well," I quickly tell her. She sits up and looks down at me.
"You really do?" She asked.
"Yes I do," I answered, "But just because I think about it, that doesn't mean that I want to get married right away."
"Oh me neither," She agreed.
"Hopefully some day I will marry you, but for right now, I want to get to know more about Daphne Audrey Marilyn Gaines," I said.
"And I want to get to know more about Samuel Zhāng," She smiled softly. She leans down to kiss me and I kissed her back. I pulled her down to me so that her body was on top of mine. I flipped us over so that I was on top as we kissed. We continued to kiss each other in a passionate yet heated kiss.

When I pulled away, I gazed down at her. She was a work of art to me. A real masterpiece. We stayed out there until one in the morning then we headed back to her place where she tried to convince me to sleep over, but I managed to tell her that I had Dave to care of in which she understood. So she kissed me goodnight at her doorstep before heading inside. My heart swelled with joy after the kiss.
There was one thing on my mind for the rest of the night. It kind of kept me awake all through the rest of the night and that things was: I think I might be in love with Daphne.
