Sam inquired as Zemo switched on the many lights inside a large garage which was filled with all sorts of cars.

"These are mine." Zemo informed him, "Collected by family over the generations." He walked over to one car, opening it up whilst I wondered around looking at the other cars.

"I spent years hunting people HYDRA recruited to recreate the serum." He continued to explain, "because once it's out there, someone can create an army of people...like the avengers." He said, placing something on the back of a yellow car as the three of us made our way towards him.

"I ended the Winter Soldier program once before. I have no intention to leave my work unfinished. To do this, we'll have to scale a ladder of lowlifes."

"Well, join the party. We've already started." Sam said as Zemo began to walk off with a long coat thrown over his arm and a bag in one hand.

"First stop is a woman named Selby. Mid-level fence I still have a line on. From there, we climb."

We walked through an airport, heading out to the plane bays where Zemo said a plane was waiting for us. Just as he had said, there was one with an old man on the steps awaiting our, or more Zemo's, arrival. My eyes went wide as I looked up at the vehicle, surprised Zemo had this still.

"So all this time you've been rich?" Sam questioned with his arms stuck out in shock.

"I'm a Baron, Sam. My family was royalty until your friends destroyed my country." Zemo responded, leading us closer to the plane.

"Imma need to befriend this guy." I muttered as I walked beside Sam. "Imagine the presents you'd get from him."

"Eris, Zemo was in prison a few hours ago." Sam remarked.

"Your point?"

"He's not a good guy!" Sam rapidly shook his head, turning his neck to look at me. I shrugged him off as we boarded the plane, passing the old man and giving him a sweet smile.

The plane had taken off and was flying steadily in the air, the four of us sat in seats. Sam opposite Bucky and I was opposite Zemo.

"Apologies if it's a little warm, the fridge is out." The old man said as he handed Zemo a glass of what looked like champagne. "But I will see if there is some good food in the galley."

Zemo responded to him but spoke Sokovian so I'm not too sure what he said exactly. But the old man responded with a small laugh, "it's good to have you back, sir."

Bucky, Sam and I continuously shared looks, wary of Zemo and knowing his past and what he's capable of.

"You don't know what it's like to be locked in a cell. Oh. That's right. You do." Zemo said, turning his head to look at Sam who simply appeared unimpressed.

"Why don't you give us some insight on where we're going, Zemo?" I asked, leaning forward slightly.

"I'm sorry. I was just fascinated by this." Zemo apologised, looking inside a book that he held with both hands. I furrowed my brows and squinted my eyes as I looked at the man in front of me and the book.

"I don't know what to call it, but this part seems to be important. Who is Nakajima?" Zeno queried, taking a smaller book out from the larger book.

Bucky immediately got to his feet as the name came from Zemo's mouth, wrapping a hand around his neck and getting all up in his face. "If you touch that again, I'll kill you." He muttered to Zemo.

Bucky sat back down with the smaller book in his hand, glaring at Zemo before looking out the plane window.

"I'm sorry." Zemo apologised again, "I understand that list of names. People you've wronged as the Winter Soldier."

"Don't push it." Bucky faced Zemo again, but then looked back towards the window.

"I've seen that book. It was Steve's when he came out the ice." Sam noted. "I told him about Trouble Man. He wrote it in that book. Did you hear it? What'd you think?" He asked Bucky.

"I like 40's music, so.."

"You didn't like it?" Sam sounded appalled with kind of made me crack a smile.

"I liked it." Bucky reassured him half-heartedly.

"It is a masterpiece, James. Complete. Comprehensive. It captures the African-American experience." Zemo explained, gesturing with his hands. The man had a fairly soothing voice which I probably would have taken note of earlier if I wasn't always distracted with the fact he was a murderer.

"He's out of line, but he's right." Sam said, "it's great. Everybody loves Marvin Gaye."

"I like Marvin Gaye." Bucky said.

"Steve adored Marvin Gaye. Eris, you like Marvin Gaye right?" Sam asked me.

I looked over at Sam who was looking at me expectantly as Zemo and Bucky looked to me too. I shrugged, "I only really listen to the music Hayley put me onto so like, Why Dont We and Taylor Swift."

"Did Steve never put you onto Marvin Gaye?" Sam queried, seemingly surprised. I shook my head.

"You must have really looked up to Steve." Zemo spoke again, "But I realised something when I met him. The danger with people like him, America's Super Soldiers, is that we put them on pedestals."

"Watch your step Zemo." Sam warned him, his demeanour completely different to how it was a few seconds ago.

"They become symbols. Icons." Zemo continued. "And then we start to forget about their flaws. From there, cities fly, innocent people die. Movements are formed, wars are fought. You remember that, right?" He looked to Bucky, still holding a glass in his hand.

"As a young soldier sent to Germany to stop a mad icon. Do we want to live in a world full of people like the Red Skull?" Zemo asked. He shook his head, "that is why we're going to Madripoor."

"What's with Madripoor, you talk about it like it's Skull Island?" I questioned, slightly tilting my head.

"It's an island nation in the Indonesian archipelago." Bucky answered, making my head turn to him, "it was a pirate sanctuary back in the 1800s."

"It's kept its lawless ways. But we cannot exactly walk in as ourselves. James, you will have to become someone you claim is gone." Zemo explained.

I looked from Zemo to Bucky again, my expression full of sorrow for Bucky. I knew who Zemo was talking about, and I didn't like the idea of it.
