"He's just through that corridor." The old guard told us as he stopped after leading us down a long corridor.

"Give us a sec." Bucky said to him, making him leave the three of us alone. "I'm gonna go in alone."

"Why?" Sam queried.

"What? I don't think that's a good idea, Bucky." I raised my concern.

"Cos you guys are avengers. You know how he feels about that." Bucky replied, and to be fair he wasn't wrong and I could understand what he meant.

"Look it's not like you two were known for frolicking in the sun together" Sam remarked.

"He was obsessed with HYDRA." Bucky retorted in a hushed voice. "We have a history together. Trust me. I got it."

And with that, Bucky turned, walking down the rest of the corridor to meet Zemo; the man who had framed him for murder so he could trigger The Winter Soldier.

"What are you talking about? You wanna break Zemo outta jail?" Sam questioned Bucky with a tone of annoyance as he led us down into a dark room.

"Bucky, where are we? Dark rooms are usually where people get killed." I asked him, annoyance coming to my tone as well now.

"We have no leads, no moves, nothing." Bucky pointed out, shining a torch as he walked ahead.

"What we have is one of the most dangerous men in the world behind bars." Sam retorted.

"And we also have eight super soldiers that are loose." Bucky argued in defence.

"Buck, Zemo will just mess with our minds. Especially yours." I said, pointing a finger at him on the last part as I stood beside when he came to a light switch.

Bucky pulled the switch, making light fill the room so turned our torches off, not needing them anymore.

"Super Soldiers go against everything he believes in."

Bucky said, walking closer to me so our faces were centimetres apart. "He is crazy, but he still has a code." And with that, Bucky stepped back, turning away and moving across the room.

"We've been on the wrong side of that code," Sam gestured his finger between him and I, "and so have you. He blew up the UN, he killed King T'Chaka and framed you for it. Did you forget that? You think the Wakandans forgot about it? It's a rhetorical question. They didn't. I know why this matters to you, but it's pushing you off the deep end."

"Sam, we don't know how they're gettin the serum. We don't even know how many of them there are. Look, let me just walk you through a hypothetical. Can I walk you through a hypothetical?"

"What have you done, Bucky?" I queried, slightly concerned.

"I haven't done anything." He replied, not very convincingly.

"I have known you for about 70, maybe 80 years, Buck. I know when you're lying." I told him, squinting my eyes slightly.

He looked off to the side with a hint of annoyance and sighed, "I'm gonna walk you through a hypothetical."

Sam and I shared a look as I sighed.

"The weakest point in any system isn't the software, the hardware, it's the meatware. The human element. Now, in this lockup, it's nine to one, prisoners to guards. And if two prisoners start fighting, then the protocol says four guards have to respond."

"So why would two prisoners start randomly start fighting at that moment?" Sam questioned.

"Who knows?" Bucky shook his head once with widened eyes. "There could be many reasons. But the point is, these things escalate. Lockdown procedures would have to be initiated, and with all those bodies flying around left and right, wouldn't be hard to slip down a hallway or two."

"And if the fire alarm got tripped while the prisoners were being separated someone could use the chaos to their advantage."

"I don't like how casual you're being about this." Sam said before looking to me, "do you?"

I shook my head and screwed my lips up, "no, I don't." I then looked back at Bucky with a tilted head and a smile forming on my lips.

"This is unnatural. And are you... where are we man?"

Just then, the sound of a door opening for our attention, making mine and Sam's head turn in its direction. A figure walked towards the plastic curtain, and then Zemo walked through in a guards uniform.

"Woah, woah, woah" Sam cautioned.

"Holy shit." I muttered with a slight smile and laugh.

"What are you doing here?" Sam asked Zemo in a very pissed off, worried voice.

"I didn't wanna tell you cos I knew you wouldn't let this happen." Bucky told Sam, stopping him from walking closer to Zemo.

"What did you do?"

"We need him."

"You're going back to prison!" Sam told Zemo who was now taking his hat off.

"If I may.." Zemo started only to be cut off by Sam and Bucky shouting "No!" in sync to him.

"When Steve refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, you both backed him. You broke the law, and you stuck your necks out for me. I'm asking you to do it again." Bucky said, looking between Sam and I.

"I really think I'm invaluable..." Zemo begun.

"Shut up." Sam warned him in a low voice.

"Well, I'm in." I spoke up, breaking the silence that had formed. "I used to love a bit of drama." I shrug with a small smile.

"Okay." Sam gave in. "If we do this, you don't make a move without our permission." He said to Zemo.

"Fair."

"Okay, Zemo, where do we start?"
