, Sam was in a fancy suit, Zemo in his long coat and I wore a green, silk dress with a slit on one leg, green matching heels and a black fur coat that sat off my shoulders. My hair was tied back into a bun now with a few stray bits pulled out at the front to frame my face nicely.

"We have to fix this. I'm the only one who looks like a pimp." Sam complained as the four of us walked towards the city.

"Only an American would assume a fashion-forward black man looks like a pimp." Zemo said, "you exactly like the man you're supposed to be playing. The sophisticated, charming African rake named Conrad Mack, aka the Smiling Tiger." Zemo handed Sam his phone with a picture up on it.

"He even has a bad nickname. Hell, he does look like me, though." Sam said.

"And, uh, who the hell am I meant to be?" I asked Zemo as I walked beside him and Bucky.

"Conrad's second or assistant, which ever you wish to call her. Stacey Goldmine. She's very popular with the men."

"You mean she's a prostitute?" I queried, looking at Zemo with screwed brows.

"Eh," he bobbled his head from side to side, "potato, poTAto. You smell this?"

"Yeah, what is that? Acid?" Sam asked.

"Madripoor. No matter what happens, we have to stay in character. Our lives depend on it. There's no margin for error." Zemo told us as we arrived at a slick, black car. "High town's that way. Not a bad place if you wanna visit, but Low town's the other way."

I opened the back door, getting in and sitting in the middle seat with Bucky on my right. Sam got in on my other side whilst Zemo was in the front passenger seat.

As we drove, multiple motorbikes drove with us, behind us and beside us, even some in front of us. Soon enough, they pulled over, as did our car and we got out, Sam, Bucky and I following Zemo into the busy, rather filthy and disgusting city.

I made sure to pull the bottom of my dress up slightly so as not to step on it or get the bottom dirty. The lights hit the jewels I wore on my neck and ears, making a slight reflection shine on the walls as we passed.

We entered a building full of people drinking and slightly swaying to the music. The room was scattered with people who carried quite large guns. We left, entering another disheveled building, still with the same sort of set up but was more of a party.

I walked in front of Bucky, behind Sam. As we walked through a very large crowd, I felt Bucky place his metal hand on my waist, keeping me from going astray. Zemo said something in Russian, I'm assuming directed at Bucky and a few people whispered as we passed them. Zemo led us over to a bar, with a larger guy tending it.

"Hello Gentlemen." The bartender greeted, "Miss Goldmine," he nodded to me. "Wasnt expecting you, Smiling Tiger."

"His plans changed. We have business to do with Selby." Zemo told the bartender.

The bartender looked to Sam, "the usual?" He asked to which Sam simply gave him a nod.

The bartender took a snake out of a jar, placing it on the table in front of us and started cutting it open. He took part of its insides out and placed it in a small glass of alcohol, handing it to Sam.

Having to stay in character and not blow our cover, Sam hesitantly picked it up, throwing the glass back with his head and finished the drink in a quick swig. He then gave the bartender a thumbs up in approval.

"Miss Goldmine." A voice said, getting my attention after a short hesitation. I looked to Zemo first, he gave me an expectant look.

I turned to look to the man who had wanted my attention, keeping my expression flat.

The man leant an arm on the bar as a smug smirk crawled onto his lips. "I didn't think you'd be coming around for a while."

"She has business to deal with. For the Smiling Tiger." Zemo answered for me, leaning back slightly to see the man better.

"Well, maybe I could take her off your hands for a while. If that's okay with you." He said, nodding to Sam.

My eyes stayed on the man, extremely unamused. "She plays a very important part in our business here. We can't loose any of her time." Zemo told the man in his thick accent.

The man clicked his tongue, hitting his hand gently on the bar table. "Fair enough. I can respect a man defending what's his." And with that, the man left. I let out a heavy but fairly quiet sigh once he had.

"You alright?" Sam quietly asked me, placing a hand on my arm that was by my side.

"Yeah, not the first time I've had to deal with a creepy man." I replied, sass and annoyance clear in my tone and on my face, my voice just as quiet and my eyes moved from the man's back to Sam.

A bald man with a beard walked up to Zemo, making my attention turn to him. "I got word from on high. You ain't welcome here." He said to Zemo.

"I have no business with the Power Broker, but if he insists, he can either come and talk to me..." Zemo said back, gesturing to Bucky.

"New haircut?" The man asked him, Bucky kept his emotionless stare.

"Or bring Selby for a chat." Zemo finished.

The man left. Bucky then spoke up. "a power broker? Really?"

"Every kingdom needs its king. Let's just pray we stay under his radar."

"Do you know him?" Sam asked Zemo.

"Only by reputation." He replied. "In Madripoor he is judge, jury and executioner."

A man slowly started approaching us, which made me straighten my posture more and I prepared myself for anything. I put my hands behind my back, forming a blade in my hands and kept it well hidden.

"Зимняя атака солдат" Zemo said, looking to Bucky.

Of course, I had no idea what he said but I could make a pretty good guess once Bucky grabbed the man's arms as he placed his hand on Zemo.

Using his metal arm, still gripping the mans arm, Bucky pushed him back which only made more eyes turn to them. After leading him away from Zemo, Bucky knocked him to the floor, making the man lay flat on his back with a groan.

Another man ran at Bucky, but he grabbed him, hitting him in the back, giving him a couple kicks and then shoved him back with his Super Soldier strength right into another guy, sending them both falling back.

All hell broke loose from then on, Bucky pushing and kicking other men who tried to attack him. They broke tables, chair and glasses. Those who were in the way were quick to move and people had pulled their phones out to record.

My eyes darted around the room as bodies went tossing and flying, but my focus always went back to Bucky. My stomach sunk as I watched him become the one thing he hated the most. The one thing he swore to destroy, to get rid of.

"Didnt take much for him to fall back into form." Zemo commented, leaning over so Sam and I could hear him.

"Zip it, Zemo." I snapped back, holding the blade ,that was still in my hand, tighter.

The fight stopped once Bucky pinned a man by the throat to a table and many people around us cocked their guns. My head turned quickly, looking in each direction i heard a gun be prepared.

Sam placed a hand on Bucky's arm, getting a whisper from Zemo about staying in character.

"молодец солдат" Zemo said to Bucky, who's state was strained on the pinned-down man.

"Selby will see you now." The bartender spoke, making Bucky release the man slowly.

I stood by Bucky, looking at him concerned. "You alright?" I asked him. He exhaled sharply, giving a brief nod but still held a tight expression on his face.
