"Shit, shit." Josie had run into the room, startling me. She went over towards the window and put her hands on the boards, seeing that there was a decent sized space between them. "What the fuck did you do?!" She turned to me and yelled.
"I-" I shook my head.
"There are two fucking cop cars downstairs. How did they know you were here?" She put her hand on my throat and snarled.
"You're over, Josie." I smiled while she was trying to choke me.
"Fuck you." She pushed me back and ran out of the door.
"C'mon Ethan." I whispered and tapped my foot on the ground.
Josie stormed into the room with rope in her right hand and a piece of cloth in her other hand. She tied the cloth around my head and made sure that it covered my mouth. She grabbed my hands that were tied behind my back and walked me out of the small bedroom.
I looked around and it was an absolute mess in what I'm assuming would be the living room part of this giant motel room. The couches were scratched up, there were stains all over them. She had her laptop on the table in front of the couch.
She walked me into this one small room. Most likely another bedroom, but no furniture was in it. Not even a single window. The lights were shut off and it was practically pitch black in there.
"Sit." She shoved me and made me sit in the metal chair that was placed in the middle of the room.
She grabbed the rope and wrapped it around my body at least seven times. She tied a tight knot behind my back so I wasn't able to see myself trying to untie it.
"Don't make a fucking noise." She sternly looked at me and closed the door. I didn't hear a lock thankfully.
I would try to look around the room, but that's impossible. I can barely even see myself, though that might be from my blurry eyes from all of the crying of fear.
"Drop it!" I heard a stern male yell come from outside of the room. I jumped a little bit and my heart began to increase quite a bit.

"Don't come any fucking closer!" Josie yelled.
"Where's Jordyn?" I heard Ethan.
I began to scream through the cloth on my face as loud as I possibly could. Tears ran down my cheeks because I was terrified about dying right here and not giving these babies life.
The door swung open and I saw Josie's back with her point a gun right at the cops.
"Drop the gun!" The cops yelled again. Josie kept slowly backing up until she was all the way in the room, much closer to me now.
I saw Ethan and a huge relief overcame my entire body.
"Oh my god." He let out a huge sigh and turned around to put his hand on his forehead. He was relieved to see me as well. "Josie let her fucking go." He walked right behind the two cops.
"No." You could hear the cockiness. She took a few more steps back until she was behind me. "If you come any closer, I'll shoot her." She placed the gun's barrel right against my head. I could feel the cold metal on my skin.
My entire body was trembling in fear. My jaw was chattering, my fingers were practically vibrating. Tears were running down my cheek until they landed on the cloth that was still over my mouth.
"Baby, are they coming?" Ethan asked me and I nodded my head. "Ah, fuck." He whispered to himself.
He was more in the living room while the cops were in the doorway. He was with Grayson trying to decide what to do next.
"Please, please, don't shoot." Ethan said with his hands up while slowly going around the cops to stand in front of them. He was scared as well. "What do you want, Josie?"
"You know what I was."
"Why don't you tell me again." He was slowly taking more and more steps towards us.
He looked down at me for a split second, which definitely reassured me.
"You." She said while swinging the gun around. Ethan stopped moving for a quick second since she clearly wasn't being careful.
"If you let Jordyn go," He looked down at me. "Then you can have me." He looked back up to her.

I furrowed my eyebrows and frantically shook my head.
"Shut it!" Josie yelled. "How am I suppose to believe that you're being for real this time?"
"I'm not kidding." He said in a monotone voice and shook his head. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. He looked down to me and we just shared eye contact for a couple moments.
"Okay, then kiss me."
Jealousy grew over me. The fear was almost gone, raging jealousy had taken over my whole body.
"Fine." He took a couple more steps towards her, behind me. I turned my head to see if he would actually do it.
The gun was pointed at the ground and she was barely even holding it. His hands were placed on her waist and I saw that her eyes were closed.
He was leaning in. He was really leaning in to kiss her.
Just then he grabbed the gun, but she also pulled it back.
"I'll fucking shoot her!" She yelled. They were both holding the gun, trying to pull it away from each other. "I knew you were lying." She laughed.
"What the fuck is that going to do?"
"She'll be gone, finally."
"So you're gonna shoot her and then what? You're going to prison forever no matter what. So, why don't you drop down the gun and cooperate?" Ethan had let go of the gun and stood a couple steps back.
"I want her dead!" She pointed the gun at Ethan again. He backed up with his hands up to the cops.
"Don't shoot." The cops said again with a stern voice.
"She's been nothing, but an obstacle and now, here's my chance to finally get rid of her." She put the gun to my head.
"Josie, I'm begging you to not hurt her and our babies." A single year fell from Ethan's eye.
"Begging won't do you any good, Ethan."
"Do something!" Ethan yelled at the guards, but they cant shoot her. She hasn't opened fire at anyone.
I looked directly at Ethan as tears were streaming down my face, I didn't want to go. I didn't want to lose my babies.
"Say goodbye Jordyn." Josie whispered and I shut my eyes as tight as possible.
I heard a click, but I was still alive and breathing. She kept on pulling the trigger but nothing came out.
"Are you fuc-" She said and the cops grabbed her hands and put them behind her back.
"Stay quiet." One of the cops yanked her from saying anything to me.
Ethan ran right over to me and took the cloth off of me. He placed his hands on my cheeks to wipe away the tears.
"I'm so, so sorry." He kissed my forehead.
"Ethan, you've got to get me to the hospital."
He didn't say anything. He continued to look at me, then at my belly. He stood up and walked behind me to until the rope.
"I hope your babies don't live, Jordyn." She snarled in my face while the cops were taking her away.
I took in a shaky deep breath and tried to keep my hormones contained.
Ethan walked over to me and grabbed my hands. He helped me up off of the chair and pulled me into his arms.
"I'm so sorry, baby." He kissed my head. "Did she hurt you?"
I shook my head. "Besides tying me up, I'm okay."
He nodded and led me out of the motel room. We both walked down the stairs until we got to all of the cars.
Josie was in the back of one of the cop cars, looking right at us.
"She was really gonna kill me." I whispered to Ethan.
"Don't look at her." He stood in front of my view of Josie. "She's not here, okay? Just you and me. We're gonna have those babies, yeah?"
I nodded my head and he opened the car door for me. I got inside and took in a deep breath. He closed the door then walked around to the driver's side. Grayson also got into the back.
"Let's go have those babies!" Ethan held my hand for a quick moment.
I let out a breath of air to try and calm down my nerves. It's baby time...

Tales of a Grim World.
Ancient prophecies say that once every thousand years, one shall rise to bring about a new age of darkness. A harbinger of evil, a being born for the sole purpose of sowing misery and disgrace. Through them, the world shall know of war, famine, pestilence and death— the four seals that herald the end of times. Besieged by the maws of evil, humankind shall suffer in agony as they watch everything they once knew be unmade before them. To oppose such a being, the whole world has had to stand united, in the battles that came to be historically known as the Great Holy Wars. Guided by the Saintess of Irithel, brave heroes coming from the four corners of the world had to sacrifice their lives in order to fight against the Harbinger and cast away the darkness. Our story begins in the year 578, a bit over six hundred years since the end of the fifth holy war. In the kingdom of Valtia, a small nation belonging to the Union of Western Kingdoms, an urgent missive bearing the royal seal arrives at the hands of Earl William Taylor. Though it might still be almost half a millennia too early for another Harbinger to be born, dark clouds already loom over the northern continent of Gram, as many bizarre events start taking place. Follow the story of our main characters as they struggle to survive in a grim, unforgiving world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: This work is intended for mature audiences and contains adult scenes and heavy descriptions of violence and gore. If you are not over the age of 18, turn back right now. You have been warned.

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.

★Rise of the Gun Hero★
[F.Reader x TROTSH]I do not own the anime/manga/story of "The Rise of the Shield Hero". This is simply just a fanmade story of it!I would like to say, the gun concept isn't an original! And is based off of other stories I've read. I also don't have the best grammar. So if you see any mistakes, feel free to message me about it. I may in the future change the whole concept later on.6/7/2020 - #1 TROTSH8/21/2020 - #1 TheRisingOfTheShieldHero
