《Magai Story: The First Encounter》Queue

Our little superhuman group was walking to lunch when the citywide blackout occurred.
For real?, I thought, everything bad seems to happen at lunchtime. I just can't get a good lunch.
Did I say citywide? Well, we only knew that until an hour later, because not only did the electrical system go out, but everything else that used any type of battery. Cell phones, iPods, radios, and anything else you can think of. I was devastated without the internet.
To be cut off from my my dashboard? Horrifying. At least I had posts on my queue ready to be posted without me.
The lights came back on towards the end of the day, so everyone cheered. Everyone was just as into being online as I was. Immediately, I received a text from Sabine. It was weird that the batteries on everyone's phones recharged as if nothing. Anyways, I kinda checked my Tumblr before I read her message, but I'll still call myself a good friend.
Apparently, Sabine fell asleep in math class and she had a nightmare. I would have fallen asleep, too, if I had to sit through an hour and a half of Ms. Kirby droning on about whatever it was we were studying in class.
I was in Chemistry, so I only managed to send a quick text. I told all the other superhumans (including Jozeey, who still hadn't developed abilities) to meet us at Sabine's house. Not all of us ride the bus, so it was necessary.
We got to her house and went into the backyard to the treehouse. I boasted my telekinesis by levitating all the way up to the entrance. I smugly sat down and Stacey laughed at my surprised face when I saw that Daniela reached the clubhouse before me. I hadn't realized again that she was with us.

When Sabine entered, the treehouse interior turned dark, so this was proof of what she did earlier.
"You may be wondering why I've called for an emergency meeting," I began, "You're here because I'm gonna try to teleport us to Montressor."
"How?" Dania asked with a gasp.
"Also, you haven't explained what that is," Stacey said with a squint, "You've been vague about where you went and you keep talking about some hospital lady."
"It's where I got my powers from?"
"But if you teleported from here, that means you had your abilities before you went there?" she retorted.
"Get dragged," Dania snapped dramatically.
"That's where I found my other powers," I was more quiet about it.
"How would we get there, even?"
"Well, I'll explain. Auras are the energy that surround all living organisms, according to Grady,
but that doesn't mean that one aura has to belong to just one organism. I think back at the party, the energies that I felt pushing against me were you guys' auras. I can't see them, but I felt them. Maybe with that type of power we can teleport."
"You're suggesting that we do something outside of the range of anything we've done before," Stacey squinted even harder.
"You weren't even conscious of it those times, were you," Daniela swept her bangs away from her eye, "You did it on accident."
"We don't even know if it's safe," Dania interjected, "I mean, causing darkness and telekinesis are one thing, but teleportation? That involves ripping our atoms apart and hoping that they come back together some other place."
"But he's done it before!" Grady countered, "This should be fun, you guys!"
"But he hasn't done it on eight people," Stacey countered.

"But he'll have all of our power and concentration!" Grady added.
"So if I link our auras and then I concentrate on my apartment in Magai City, I think we might be able get there," I explained.
"Why would we go in the first place?" Marco asked, dubious.
"Well, for one, we might learn to use our powers correctly. I mean, we can't have Sabine causing power outages every time she gets a nightmare," I said through gritted teeth.
"Is this something we can vote on?" Grady was even more eager than me to go.
"No!" Stacey exclaimed adamantly.
"We're not voting on this," Dania crossed her arms.
"Those in favor of going to Montressor to learn how to use our powers, raise your hand," I motioned.
Grady and I raised our hands, and then so did Sabine. Daniela raised her hand slowly.
"But you were against going!" Stacey pointed at her.
"I have a good feeling about it, even so," her hair covered her eye again.
"We vote no," Stacey said. Dania and Marco raised their hands, too.
"It's up to you, Jozeey," I eyed him.
"Eh," he pouted his lips, "I have yet to see any powers."
I winced.
"And I hardly know any of you,"
Dania crossed her arms.
"But I mean I have nothing better to do, so I guess," he threw his head back.
"This isn't fair," Marco pointed, "What if I don't want to go? I'm not even part of this group."
"Grady, connect our auras!" I ignored him, but then I backtracked, "Can you do that?"
Marco tried to stand up, but Sabine grabbed him and pulled him back down.
"I haven't actually done anything with auras, just so you know," Grady had her mouth wide open.
"Try please?"
I could see our varicolored energies rising from us like steam. Grady had her eyes closed.
She strained to merge all of our auras.
"Hold hands," I grabbed Dania and Stacey.
With my eyes closed, I concentrated on the apartment.
I felt my body warping and my ears popping, but I didn't open my eyes or break concentration.
"Aaaaaaaaa," I groaned out loud as it started getting uncomfortable.
