《Levi's Sick Day》Restless Sleep

(Y/n)'a POV:

As Levi drifted off into a restless slumber, I stayed next to his bed, just as promised. I hated seeing my boyfriend so violently ill. It was probably pretty hard for him too.

People treat Levi like some supernatural being and forget that he is still human. As much as he hates to admit it, he can get sick too, and that's just what happened.

Levi continued to shift and groan in his sleep. It was obvious that this was not a peaceful sleep. I debated waking him up as I saw the pained look that overtook his features but decided against it. He needed rest to heal after all.

But pretty soon, the look of sheer pain was too much for me and I carefully shook him awake. His heavy eyelids slowly cracked open. I could tell just by one look that he was also horribly disoriented.

Levi slowly sat up, swaying as he did so and dropped his head into his hands. I placed a careful hand on his back and ran my fingers up and down his spine. He collapsed onto my shoulder lifelessly. I had never seen Levi so weak and it honestly scared me.

I carefully shifted him so he was instead leaning against my chest. I sat against the headboard and ran my hands through his matted jet black hair. Levi was extremely sweaty and pale and his forehead was burning.

It hurt knowing that there wasn't anything I could do for him, except wait it out. I just wanted him out of his pain and misery. Levi's eyes fluttered closed as I continued to brush out his hair and he soon drifted off.

I gently slid out from under him and walked over to his bathroom. Once I was there I grabbed a washcloth and refilled the small basin. I turned the faucet to the coldest setting and filled the basin almost full. I then carefully plunged the cloth into the freezing water.

I grabbed the full basin, careful not to spill, and walked back to the passed out Levi. I reposition him so he's laying down and grab the now cold cloth from the water. I wring it out so water wouldn't get everywhere and set it down tenderly on his forehead.

Once I was done with that, I carefully hop into bed next to Levi and lay my head on his chest. I cuddle into his side and lay contently. I feel him shift and curl into my side, and my heart fluttered. I never really got to see his affectionate side, and it was honestly absolutely adorable.

I wrapped my arm around Levi's middle and push my head into the crook of his neck, taking in his familiar scent. Before I realised it, I too began to drift off in my lover's comforting embrace.

Once I awoke again, It was midafternoon. My stomach was angry at me for not eating all day so I carefully uncurl my self from Levi and walk out of the room. Even though I knew there was no way he wanted to eat right now, he needed something in his system.

When I arrive at the mess hall, I survey my surroundings to see what I could whip up. I find chicken and broth and decide to make Levi and myself some chicken soup. I cautiously look at the expiration date to see if the food was still good. After seeing it was, I begin to boil the broth and cut up the chicken.

About ten minutes later I was carrying two bowls of soup and two spoons back to Levi's room. Once I get back to his office, I quietly nudge the door open and then shut and walk back to the bedroom.

I set the bowls and spoons down on the bedside table and tenderly shake Levi awake. His eyelids seem like lead as he slowly pries them open. The smell of the soup hits him like a brick resulting in him letting out a disgusted groan and rolling over.

"Hey darling, I need you to eat. I know you feel like everything will just come back up, but you can't heal if you don't get some food in your system. So, please? For me?"

He let out a nasally growl and turned back over, struggling to sit up. I put my hands under his arms and helped pull him into a sitting position. I could see Levi glancing wearily at the bowl that now sat in his lap.

He hesitantly grasped the spoon and brought it to his lips. Swallowing the soup, he let out a satisfied noise as the soup did not immediately make a reappearance.

Levi finished about half the bowl of soup before he handed the bowl back to me. His hands returned to clutching his stomach and he burrowed back into the covers.

I internally 'awed' at how adorable he looked, before I quickly walked down to the mess hall to refrigerate the half empty bowl of soup. I then placed my now empty bowl in the sink.

Once I had taken care of the two bowls, I returned back to my boyfriend. When I got to his room, I saw he was still in the same position, burrowed into the blankets.

I gently placed my hand on his forehead to see if his temperature had changed at all. It had gone down slightly, but not nearly enough to be considered normal. I walked to the bathroom and changed the water in the basin.

Once the water was cold again, I placed the washcloth into the basin. I wrung the washcloth out and then placed it on Levi's forehead. I brushed his bangs out of the way so they didn't soak up unnecessary water.

I placed a gentle kiss on his lips and then walked back the his office, returning to the paperwork from earlier. After about 20 minutes of paperwork, there was a solid knock on the door.
