《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》115 Street East, Appt 935

A ruffled paw slides across the screen.
"They found out! Don't go there! They're probably on their way now!"
"Jade?"
"Nick?"
"No, this is Y/N. Who found out? Go where?"
Jade scoffs, "He didn't tell you?"
"I don't need this right now. Our friend was just dragged away by some polar bears."
"WHAT!"
"YEAH. THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING."
"I knew they'd come for him eventually. I knew they'd find out."
"Who would find out?"
"Mr. Big."
It was hard to stifle a laugh--Mr. Big? This isn't Zizney; what kind of garbage title is that?
"What a... fitting name."
"Yeah, the name's a bit painful for me too. Nevertheless, he's still the biggest for organized crime in the area."
At least she feels the same way... "Why does he want Nick?"
"Well, they're competitors aren't they? It's not that hard to figure out, is it?"
"I meant what Wilde had done to upset him... Whatever. I need to help him."
"Oohoo~ someone's a hero."
"You wouldn't help him?"
"Well... I suppose his uses aren't gone yet..."
She paused for a second, "Alright I'll help."
"Aha--seems like you're still useful too!"
She chuckled, "Nah. I'll be over soon."
"Wait, do you even know where I-" *beep*
She hung up on me!
Such manners.
You lower the phone from your ear to re-examine it. It has definitely seen better days; the top half of the screen was shattered and cracks ran all the way to it's base.
When will Jade arrive? 5, 10, 15 minutes?
You stood up, leaving Nick's phone on the couch.
I hope he's okay. Where would they be taking him? How do I even go about helping him?

Jade should have a better idea of how to help him than me.
Ugh. Waiting for Jade and not knowing what could be happening to Nick is torture.
You don't know how long it will be until Jade gets here so you decide to check the kitchen for some food.
It seems you had paced yourself into the kitchen anyways. Opening the fridge, saw the plentiful bounty of near-empty shelves.
There was half a gallon of water, condiments, and some leftovers. Surprised you don't starve living here.
You close the fridge in defeat.
Sulking back to your couch, you hear someone walking down the hallway outside. You didn't really pay attention to it because people always walk down the hallway.
But a familiar voice chimed through the walls saying, "Whoa! What happened?"
