But a familiar voice chimed through the walls saying, "Whoa! What happened?"
"Alex?"
"Holy heck Y/N! What happened to your door?"
"It's a long story," you shout. It's actually not a long story, but oh well.
Your door makes a creaking noise and you look over to see it fall straight down into your living room with a smash.
Alex stood at the doorway looking shocked, "Oh! I... uh..."
A surprised-looking gray wolf stood at your door frame. He was not the biggest wolf you've ever known. Probably on the smaller side; which might aid his more docile attitude.
Under a white and gray flannel, you could make out some of the text on his blue t-shirt that read, 'More like *Awesome* Springs' But whatever. He was not the animal you expected to find at your door right now.
You gave the wolf a sarcastically annoyed look after examining the fallen door.
"What! All I did was touch it! Barely touch it at that!"
"It's fine; it was ruined anyways," you beckoned him inside, "there are more important things to deal with right now."
You pick up Nick's phone and hold it out to show it to your friend, "Nick's been kidnapped. This is his phone."
"Whaaaaat? You're kidding right?"
His demeanor changed quickly. He knew you wouldn't lie about something like that.
"I assure you. I watched him be muzzled and everything," it felt pretty crazy to be in this situation actually.
Alex put his paws onto his head, "Aw man! What're we gonna do? Who kidnapped him?"
"Well.. someone named.. 'Mr. Big.'"
Alex looked puzzled, "That's his name?"
The name this getting old and you were tired. ...But you didn't want to snap at Alex.

"Look, I know it's a lot to take in. It's a lot for me too."
Your friend sighed, "I understand. So... what are you planning to do?"
"Well... Jade is coming to pick me up. Anything after that is beyond me. I guess I just assume she'll know what to do from there." You walk away from the door towards the couch and sit with your legs dangling a few inches from the ground..
"Oh! Are you two on good terms now?"
You rub your arm, "Not necessarily good; but for some reason, not bad terms either. Sort of... neutral."
"Hmm."
The phone inside your pocket started to vibrate and give off a faint ringtone.
You grab the phone and slide your paw along the screen to answer it.
"Jade?"
"I'm outside."
"Okay! Be right out."
Alex fidgeted a little bit, obviously nervous, "So, um.."
You hope off the table, "Do you think you could watch the place for me? Maybe try to put the door back up? You owe me after what you did to it," you elbow him in the side as you walk past him.
Alex saluted, "At your service!"
"Thank you!" You exclaimed over your shoulder as you grabbed your jacket and ran out.
