Near the Destiny's Bounty, Skales is trying to gain the title of Snake King.

"Serpentine, we've been exiled for the last time. Fear not, I will lead you" Skales announced

"Lead us? To where? The City of Ouroboros has been destroyed. We have no home!" Mezmo shouted

"You want to lead us so badly, why should we trusssst you?" Fang-Suei questioned

"Because I was the one who told you in the first place not to awaken the Devourer. But no, you listened to Pythor" Scared replied

Garmadon and Aria walked up to them

"You want a home...I'll give you a home" Garmadon said "Forgive me, I haven't been myself lately. But now that I have the Golden Weapons, it's time that I got back to my roots. If I'm going to rule Ninjago, I know I can't do it all by myself. The Skeletons served their purpose, but I've always been partial to snakes. If you want someone to follow, follow me"

The Serpentine cheers.

"Aren't they gullible" Aria mumbled and Garmadon nodded

"You are to follow me, not him!" Skales shouted but everyone follows Garmadon.

"You want a home, I give you a home" Garmadon uses the golden weapons to rebuilds the Bounty into a darker version "I give you the Black Bounty!"

Everyone cheers again.

"Their weapons have the power to create and mine have the power to destroy?" Aria questioned

"You're weapons can do more then you think, I'll teach you" Garmadon replied

Skales grew mad "Imbeciles! Do you not remember he was just helping the Ninja? Now you blindly follow him because of his wizardry? He's not even a Serpentine. Rule with me, and we rule as brothers!"

"Rule with me..." Garmadon points the Sword of Fire at Mezmo "or else.

"All hail Lord Garmadon!" Serpentine shouted and they climb aboard the Black Bounty before it takes off.

"Make that your first lesson, you can get anyone to do what you want with a little bit of force" Garmadon said to Aria

Aria shook her head "I'm a good guy, I wouldn't-"

"Good or Bad, ninja use force to fight the bad guys don't they?" Garmadon questioned "sometimes more force then needed"

"I guess so" Aria said

"Your eminence, excuse my ignorance, but why is it we fly in the opposite direction of the Ninja, when you have the Golden Weapons in your possession?" Mezmo questioned

"Because they have my son, and it is written that he will one day defeat me. What good would turning Ninjago into my own image be when that victory would be fleeting?" Garmadon questioned

"Then we destroy Lloyd" Chokun said

Aria growled and Garmadon grabbed her arm before she did anything "Lock him in the brig! No one will touch my son. But by getting rid of Sensei Wu and those pesky Ninja, Lloyd will never reach his full potential. The prophecy will never be fulfilled, and Ninjago will be mine...forever!"

"I'm against that" Aria commented

"You shut up, you're here to learn, not participate" Garmadon said

"Uh, but why are we flying away?" Fang-Suei asked

"Because we are flying to the Golden Peaks, birthplace of the Golden Weapons. Even they have secrets yet to be unlocked. And once I uncover their full potential, nothing will stand in our way" Garmadon replied

"And did my father create my weapons?" Aria asked annoyed

"no" Garmadon replied "your fans were created from the Lake of Tears"

"Not the answer I was expecting" Aria said surprised "What kind of place is it?"

Garmadon looked ahead as he started "Years ago their was a beautiful village, the people there lived happily and everyone lived in peace-"

"I'm not looking to be told a fairytale Sensei" Aria said looking off into the distance

Garmadon sighed "It's no fairytale Aria, the village was beautiful and peaceful. Everyone there enjoyed life, until the Overlord and the First Spinjitzu Master's battle, their village fell under the darkness of the Overlord. The Overlord destroyed anything good and beautiful in their village, the once beautiful village turned into a dark place where nothing grows or lives.

It is called the lake of tears because it is said that the lake there was created from the tears of all the enslaves villagers that were terrorized by the Overlord. When the First Spinjitzu Master split the land their was still parts of Ninjago that was and forever will be stained in darkness, the Lake of Tears is one of them"

Aria turned to look at him "So their are dark places all over Ninjago, how did that become the birthplace of my weapons?"

"Your weapons were made from the suffering and hope of the people, their suffering fueled the Overlord and their hope fueled the First Spinjitzu Master. Your fans are called the Yin and Yang fans for that reason" Garmadon explained

"I never knew" Aria said "why didn't Wu tell me this?"

"I suppose he's too busy with the other ninja he doesn't have time for the one on one time with you that you need" Garmadon replied before patting her on the head "Don't worry, I'll teach you what you need"

"I don't want to be like him" Aria said annoyed

"He's not all bad you know, it was anger that fueled your father" Garmadon explained "he waited years for her to reincarnate"

"What?" Aria questioned

"That is a story for another time" Garmadon said

Back with the Ninja, Patty Keys is showing them a worn-down apartment.

"This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach? Now, wait until you see the lighting" Patty turns on the light, but the bulb flickers, burns out, and falls to the ground "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view? Heh" She opens the window blinds, but the view was actually a brick wall.

"Uh, why do I smell old people?" Lloyd questions

Patty looked annoyed "Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford"

"Uh, this looks...promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford" Cole said

"This would be easier if Aria was here, she'd know what to do" Lloyd said

"But she's not, she's doing her own training and now it's time for us to train Lloyd, so don't we need to live in some place that'll make training easier for him?" Jay questioned

"Yeah, Jay's right. If we have to get Lloyd ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he at least have his own room?" Kai agreed questionly

Jay laughed nervously "We're only thinking about the children, hehe"

"I do have another property that you'll just love" Patty brings them to a fancy room atop a skyscraper "Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..."

"Uh, it seems a little out of our price range" Cole said

"Oh, sure it costs a little more, but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a Dragon keep on the roof" Patty added

"Maybe we can get a hero discount. After all, we are the Ninja who saved the city" Jay said

"I thought Lord Garmadon saved the city" Patty said

"We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses" Kai suggested

"We always said we could use a little more responsibility" Zane said

"But what would Aria say?" Cole asked

"She'd say "we have to train Lloyd"" Kai said trying to sound like Aria

"Did I mention the in-house training facility?" Patty said showing them the room

"We'll take it!" The ninja shout

Lloyd sighed "Aria would scold them for this"

At the Golden Peaks, Garmadon is combining the Golden Weapons.

"The Golden Peaks, birthplace of the Golden Weapons" Garmadon said as the Mega Weapon os created "Yes, it's working" Upon completion, he grabs it and starts to gasp.

"Your eminence, are you okay?" Lasha asked

"Yes. In fact, I've never felt more powerful! Now, to destroy the Ninja...once and for all!" Garmadon laughs evilly

"I'm sure you'll fail miserably" Aria mocked
