okie dokie! it's been a while since I started anything so here it goes. I love Sons of Anarchy and I hope that ya'll enjoy this! feedback is welcomed! thanks for reading my stuff!
“End of the line, sweetheart.” The truck driver said from beside me.
I slowly opened my eyes and gathered my barring’s. The sun was high and bright in the sky. I squinted and took my sunglasses off of the dashboard and put them on.
“Where are we?” I asked him as I grabbed my bag from the floor.
“Charming.” He said with a small smile.
I smiled back and opened the door. We were stopped at a gas station just outside of the city limits. Charming seemed like it was one of those old towns that shut out the rest of the world. As I climbed out of the truck, I looked back at the older driver and smiled at him. He had picked me up at a truck stop about a week ago. He said he was headed for California and would take me with him. He had a picture on this dashboard of three children.
“You take care of yourself honey.” He said to me.
His pale blue eyes were kind and gentle. I nodded and smiled.
“I will. Go home and see your kids.” I told him.
He nodded with a small smile and fired up the truck. I closed the door and walked towards the city, towards my fresh start.
I spotted a convenient store down the road and I went in search of a bathroom. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I cringed. I looked like a hot mess. My brown hair was a rat’s nest. My clothes were wrinkled and smelled like a fast food bag. With a shrug I turned on the tap and flipped my hair into the sink. Oh well, at least it was wet. I combed it back into a bun and slung my bag on my shoulders and walked out of the bathroom.
No one was in the store except for the cashier. She was sitting on a tall chair behind the counter reading a magazine. I walked up to the counter and she didn’t even look up.
“Can I have Marlboro Reds please?” I asked her.
She huffed at me, like I was interrupting her from something very important as she got up from the chair. I shook my head slightly and put my arms on the counter.

“6.75.” She said to me as she rang them up.
I opened up my bag and dug around for some cash.
“Shit.” I said under my breath.
I could only find four dollars. I sighed and shook my head.
“Forget it.” I said.
“I got it, make it two darlin’.” A voice said from behind me.
I turned and saw a man towering over me. He had shoulder length blond hair and very beautiful blue eyes. His mouth was set in a smirk, pulling the corners of his mustache up. He also had a thick beard just on his chin that was as blond as his hair.
The cashier flushed and ‘accidentally’ dropped the second pack of cigarettes. She bent over slowly, in hopes that he would look at her ass in the jeans that were about two sizes too small. To her disappointment, he didn’t even glance at her. When she came up her low cut shirt had been pulled down to show even more cleavage. The man put the money on the counter and I took my pack and started to pack it on my palm.
“Thanks.” I said to him.
“No problem.” He said with that smirk still on his face.
I smiled back and walked out of the store. I took out a cigarette and dug in my bag for a lighter.
“Need a light?” He said from behind me.
I stopped and turned around. He was holding up a zippo to me. I leaned into it and lit my cigarette.
“Thank you.” I said.
He nodded and snapped the lighter closed.
“You’re not from Charming.” He said. It wasn’t a question.
I took a deep drag and slowly blew it out.
“I just got here actually.” I said.
He nodded and started walking with me.
“What brings you here?” He asked.
I shrugged and shifted the weight of my bag.
“A fresh start.” I said.
He nodded and I looked at him again. I noticed for the first time the leather vest he was wearing over a white t-shirt. It had patches on it and on the back was a giant Grim Reaper and it said ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and California.
“I’m Jax.” He said.
“McKayla.” I said.
He nodded and started to say something else when the roaring sound of motorcycles filled the streets.

“Shit.” He said.
I looked at him and then to the three bikers down the street.
“What?” I asked him.
He shook his hand and grabbed my arm.
“Hey! What the hell!” I shouted.
He stopped us and stood in front of me as I struggled to get free of him.
“Listen to me, go into that alley over there and wait behind the dumpster.” He said seriously.
Hide behind the dumpster? What the hell was going on? Who the hell was this guy?
“Why?” I asked him.
He shook his head and led me into the alley.
“Just wait here and I’ll come get you. Don’t come out for anyone but me, got it?” He said.
I sighed in annoyance and walked down the rest of the dead end alley and crouched down beside the dumpster.
JAX
Mayans. Three of them on main street. This is not good. After McKayla was safe in the alley, I half ran over to them.
“Get out of here.” I said darkly.
They laughed at me.
“What? We can’t take a ride through town?” One of them said.
They were all patched members, but none of them were officers. I narrowed my eyes and shook my head.
“Not through my town you can’t. Get the hell out of here. Now.” I said slowly.
They laughed again and I clenched my fists. Rage was building up inside me. I was pissed because they were here, but also at myself because I couldn’t take them all by myself. They stared me down for a few more seconds before firing the bikes back up and riding off away from Charming.
“Damnit.” I said under my breath.
I took my cell phone out of my pocket and dialed Clay.
“Yeah, three Mayans on Main Street. I don’t know, but it can’t be good.” I told him.
We agreed to meet at the club house and I hung up the phone. I took a deep breath and rubbed my hands on my face to compose myself before getting McKayla. I walked into the alley and didn’t hear a sound. At least she listened.
“McKayla?” I called to her.
She stuck her head out from the dumpster and looked at me.
“Is it safe?” She asked me.
I nodded and walked closer to her.
“Yeah, it’s safe.” I said.
She slowly stood up and followed me out of the alley.
“Where are you staying?” I asked her once we were out in the open.
This was the first time I really looked at her. She was short, shorter than me by a lot. Her hair was wet and pulled into a bun on the top of her head but I could tell it was brown. Her eyes were also brown, but in the direct sunlight they looked almost gold. She was a little thin but she still had some nice curves.
“I’ll find a place.” She said without looking at me.
I chuckled and crossed my arms.
“Darlin, no offense but you couldn’t even buy a pack of smokes, how are you gonna get a room somewhere?” I said to her.
She crossed her arms and popped her hip.
“I’ll figure something out.” She said with a bit of attitude.
I smiled and shook my head.
“Nah, come with me. I know some place you can stay and work.” I said as I walked over to my bike.
I heard her sigh and walk with me. I gave her my helmet and watched her fumble with the buckle. I chuckled and took the straps from her hands.
“Let me help.” I said.
She dropped her hands and looked away from me. I smiled and buckled the helmet and sat down on my bike. I started it and it roared to life. I smiled at that sound.
“You ready darlin’?!” I shouted over the bike.
I saw her gulp and nod slowly at me. I laughed and she climbed on behind me.
“Hold on.” I said.
Her arms slowly slipped around my waist loosely. I twisted the throttle and took off down the street. As soon as we started moving, McKayla’s arms tightened around me and I could feel her breathing pick up. I smiled and slowed down a little. She’ll get used to it.
