our driver started entering through the gate which was protected by the security guards my dad , I mean the ones I had hired...
He parked the car right in front of the house and I get out with no hesitation to the back of the car and soon I'm taking out all of my stuff.
Except for Finn since his personal belongings were already inside.
At least I think they are.
"You're stuff is in there right ?!" I asked making sure he didn't forget them somewhere.
He nodded his head and did the unexpected.
He grabbed my stuff and started carrying them inside...I know he was just being a gentleman but I would have never expected it from him.
he hates me !. I mean last year he threw my stuff down the stairs because he wanted me to leave. Which was so disrespectful and rude of him.
After I remembered of the event that occurred last year (him throwing my bags down the stairs) I quickly ran behind him and grabbed my stuff.
He looked at me with this confused expression and I just gave him a shy smile.
"Um it's ok I can carry these" I tried grabbing my stuff but finn had a tight grip on them.
"Finn give me my stuff back I can carry them up the stairs myself !" I say calmly.
His confused expression then changes to a soft one. If that even makes sense.
It was a strange mood swing.
Very common for him.
"Wait, you think I'm gonna throw your stuff down the stairs like last time right ?" He asks chuckling.
I look away and look back at him with a serious face.
"nO ! Of course not. I just- I can do this myself. If I don't need my dad then I especially don't need you." I say and with that I yanked my rolling suitcase from him.

my words came off more rude and sassy then what I wanted it to come out as but I rubbed it off knowing it won't affect him and walked inside the house.
I can hear his footsteps behind me but eventually ignore them and admire how beautiful this place actually is.
"wow..." I say.
I heard a scoff and my eyes soon roll to the back of my head.
"What ?" I turn around and I see Finn standing there leaning on the wall for support.
"You literally live in a mansion just like this ! I really see no difference..."
"What does my house have to do with my comment ? I simply just said "wow" Jesus. I can't admire something ?...."
He stays quiet and leaves his mouth open for a sec and then laughs.
I'm telling you this boy has mood swings.
"Oh jeez. Let's just get our rooms. Bad enough I have to spend the whole entire day with you."
He said "you" in the most disgusted way ever. He even had this sour face on.
Those words Genuinely hurt me. Am I really that bad ? Why is he so rude to me ? Why can't I be good enough? Why can't we just be friends? What did I ever do to him ?!
All these questions kept on ringing in my head. Why ? Just why ? I saw Finn who was grabbing his stuff and all I could do was cry. But I didn't. I hold my tears in and don't let them escaped from my eyes.
If my dad doesn't get to me. Then neither will Finn. Simple as that. I will not let anyone ruin my mascara. Especially if they're boys. I am very used to holding in my emotions anyways.
One more boy won't dont me any harm.

He remembers everything. And that's a problem. As others fight for survival, he remembers how most of them, himself included, should not even deserve to have a second chance. In a strange new world, as he fights his own demons, he is faced with new ones whose names he does not even know. But giving up is not inside his DNA and fight on he must. For to stop is to die, and to die means he failed, failed himself and all those who still desperately need him.***The Author's Note:This is another in the Core series, the first one being The Wardens of Destiny while there is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.The Recordings of Raan occurs after the events in The Wardens of Destiny, and it's a separate thread from the main story. Among other things, I separated it into a new book as it has elements of progressive LitRPG and a fantasy-world setting.Since I'll keep on writing The Wardens of Destiny, this will be one of my side-projects. Eventually in the future, I plan to integrate some of the protagonists in this story with the main storyline.
