After the run in with Mason, Damon made Audrey go to the Salvatore's house. Bonnie and Caroline were waiting there when she arrived. Elena's necklace had gone missing and that was the key to everything. Caroline had just gotten off the phone when Audrey stepped into the room. "What are you talking about?" Bonnie asked.

"Um...Lexie's back, so Elena wants us to hold off on destroying the necklace," Caroline answered nervously.

"You said boyfriend dramas. Plural. What is it, Caroline?" Bonnie asked again.

"Elena caught Jeremy kissing Anna," Caroline blurted out.

"What?" Bonnie questioned in shock. Slowly, her heart was shattering.

"I'm sorry," Caroline whispered.

"He kissed her?" Bonnie stumbled back and shook her head.

"She's got a foothold now, so she probably thinks that she's here to stay," Audrey stated, drawing both the girl's attention. "But all of us, we're going to find that necklace. Okay?" Bonnie smiled sadly and nodded. She was still in shock from the surprising news. Caroline was giving Audrey a know it all look. "What? I never really liked Anna. Especially, since she convinced Jeremy that becoming a vampire was such a great idea," Audrey explained, rolling her eyes at the memory. "Now, let's find this stupid necklace," The three girls split up to search for the piece of jewelry. After scoping every inch of the house they came up with nothing.

"Ugh! I give up. It's not anywhere in this room!" Caroline shouted as she threw her hands up in frustration. Audrey banged her head against the wall in Damon's bathroom and groaned. A loud ringing sound erupted from Bonnie's cellphone. When she checked to see who it was, she shot Caroline a knowing look. Caroline stormed over to the phone and answered it. "What do you want Jeremy?"

"Caroline? Did you find the necklace?" Jeremy asked from the other side of the phone.

"Not yet. Wait, what's going on?" Caroline questioned, crossing her arms.

"Ghosts of the tomb vampires killed Tobias Fell. You might want to find that necklace before they start going alphabetically through the founding families," Jeremy explained.

"Well, it's not where it's supposed to be. Unless someone took it," Caroline said as a light bulb went off in her head.

"Who?"

"Who do you think?" Caroline snapped annoyed.

"She said she didn't take it," Jeremy spat back.

"Oh, and you believe her?!" Caroline shouted.

"You know what, yeah, yeah, I do believe her," Jeremy answered sternly.

"You know what, you're an even bigger idiot than I thought. So wake up, Jeremy, before you lose everything," Caroline growled before hanging up the phone. "God! Audrey, why is your family so stubborn!"

"I don't know, blame our dad," Audrey responded. "Look, I'm not excusing him, because he's being really stupid, but Jeremy has a lot going on,"

"I don't care! We all have a lot of things going on, it doesn't excuse him from having an affair with his dead ex-girlfriend!" Caroline argued. Audrey sighed and nodded. She knew Jeremy was definitely in the wrong here, she just couldn't believe it. "Ugh! Why is everything going to shit lately!"

"I don't know. Let's just get this damn necklace back," Audrey scowled angrily. The two other girls nodded and together all of them went to Bonnie's car. The moment they got settled in, Caroline's phone went off. After a quick conversation with Jeremy, Caroline hung up the phone with a sigh of relief.

"Jeremy's got the necklace. He's going to meet us at the witch house," Caroline explained happily.

"Okay," Bonnie sighed. "What's going on up there?" All three girls looked ahead to see Carol Lockwood's car crashed into a tree.

"It's Mrs. Lockwood's car," Caroline gasped. Bonnie slowed the car down, but slammed the brakes when Frederick, one of the tomb vampires, walks out onto the road. More of tomb vampires were following him. "Bonnie? I'm going to get out of the car," Caroline announced.

"What?! No!" Audrey shouted, grabbing hold of her friend's arm.

"And you're going to drive the hell away from here," Caroline continued as she looked at Bonnie.

"No way! I am not leaving you-we're not leaving you!" Bonnie yelled in panic.

"Bonnie, you've got your ghost boyfriend drama. Elena has hers. And right now the mother of mine is about to be ghost bait. So go and send them all back to the other side, okay?" Caroline explained. Audrey was still gripping her shoulder, when Caroline turned to look at her. "Audrey, I'll be fine,"

"No. No, I'm not leaving you!" Audrey cried. She wasn't going to let her friend die.

"Don't worry about me," Caroline smiled softly. She tore Audrey's hand off her arm and jumped out of the car. "Bonnie, go!" The moment she shut the door, Bonnie sped away to the witch house. Audrey looked out the back window until Caroline was out of sight. She prayed to God her friend would be alright. The moment Audrey and Bonnie arrived at the witch house they got to work. Bonnie lit the fireplace and candles around her to get ready. Jeremy ran down the stairs at the perfect moment.

"Bonnie!" He shouted as he threw the necklace to her. She responded with a cold look before throwing the necklace into the fire. She shut her eyes and started chanting a spell. Suddenly, Sheila appeared beside her and grabbed her hand, chanting along with her. When the necklace melted down the flames disappeared. It had worked.

"You are stronger than all of this. I'm so proud of you," Sheila smiled at her granddaughter. Bonnie nodded with tearful eyes and watched as her grandmother vanished. The moment she was gone, Bonnie broke down. Audrey ran to her side and embraced her tightly. Bonnie cried into her friend's neck as they held each other. Jeremy stood away from them, watching his girlfriend break. He felt so much guilt for everything he'd been putting her through. When Bonnie had calmed down, Audrey still held her. She knew exactly what it was like to have your whole world come crashing down.

"Aud, I'm okay," Bonnie said after a while. Audrey nodded and let go of her friend. She was about to open her mouth to say something, but her phone went off cutting her off.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Beautiful, where are you?" Damon asked when he heard her.

"The old witch house with Bon. Why, what's up?" She asked, wondering why Damon was calling her.

"Call Ric and tell him to pick you up there. Apparently, Mason found something and I can't pass through to see it," Damon explained, his voice full of frustration.

"Alright, will do," Audrey giggled. After she hung up the phone she looked between Jeremy and Bonnie. "So, I have to go...are you going to be okay?" She asked Bonnie.

"Yeah," Bonnie nodded with a soft smile. Audrey nodded and looked at her younger brother.

"Jer...," She trailed off. With a shake of her head she walked out of the house.

-

"This is so funny," Audrey laughed as Damon stood on the other side of the invisible wall. Damon rolled his eyes and flipped her off.

"So, did you not have anyone else to call?" Alaric asked, crossing his arms.

"No, actually I don't. Cause I need a non-vampire to get in the cave and other than Elena, you two are pretty much the only ones I trust," Damn growled.

"Well, you have a funny way of showing that," Ric mumbled, shaking his head.

"Look, if Mason Lockwood can get over the fact that I killed him, can't you cut me a little slack, Ric?" Damon pleaded. Audrey shot Ric a knowing look but he ignored her.

"I shouldn't have to get over it. I was your friend, Damon. You shouldn't have done it in the first place," Alaric growled.

"Well...sometimes I do things I don't have to do," Damon sighed. Audrey widened her eyes at her friend as he attempted his lame apology. He was an idiot.

"Really? You're going to recycle that same crap ass apology you gave Mason Lockwood?" Ric asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, well...I didn't mean it with him," Damon smiled. Alaric stared at the vampire for a moment before turning around to go see what Mason found. Audrey was looking at Damon too. When his eyes caught hers, he smirked. "What?"

"You call that an apology?! Damon, you've apologized to me countless times. Why is this so different?!" Audrey shouted at her friend.

"It's...a pride thing, alright?" Damon groaned. Audrey shook her head in anger before going after Ric. "Ric. Ric?" Alaric was shining his flashlight around but stopped when something caught his attention.

"I found something," He announced.

"What is it?" Damon asked. Together, Audrey and Ric observed the wall in amazement.

"Whoa," She whispered.

"I have no idea," Ric finally answered. Pictures and writings covered the wall, but none of it made sense. "This is amazing,"

"What's going on?" Damon questioned. Audrey walked forward and touched the drawing of what looked like a wolf. It almost looked like a story was painted out on the wall.

"We should tell Elena about this," Ric said to Audrey. "I'll take some pictures and see if I can translate some of this," Audrey nodded and held the flashlight up as Ric took the pictures. When they were finished they walked back to Damon who looked extremely pissed off.

"Awe babe. Don't frown. Your gorgeous face should never frown," She giggled at him as he looked at her. He tried to fight it off but he eventually smiled. As she passed through the invisible barrier, he slung an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to him.

-

Elena looked around in shock as she stepped into the old Lockwood cellar. "So the Lockwood's really have no idea that these tunnels are underneath their property?" She asked in amazement as she moved her flashlight around.

"Careful where you shine that thing. Bats hate the light," Alaric teased. Audrey snickered quietly when a look of horror crossed her sister's face.

"Wait what?" She asked in fear. Damon quietly sneaked up behind the eldest Gilbert and got close to her ear.

"Elena," He whispered. "Boo!" He shouted sending her into a frenzy of panic. She screamed bloody murder and jumped about two feet into the air.

"God! Damon!" She screamed smacking him.

"Scaredy-cat!" Damon laughed.

"Just ignore him, that's what I do?" Audrey told her sister as she winked at Damon. Damon was about to reach out to smack her ass but her passing through the invisible barrier stopped him. She stuck her tongue out at him in mockery.

"So you really can't get in?" Elena asked Damon as she kept walking.

"Nope. Seems even the ancient Lockwood's were anti-vampire," Damon answered with boredom. Elena got a look of confusion but as her, Audrey, and Ric stepped into the chamber she finally understood what he meant. The words and drawings all over the walls were beautiful to her.

"What is all of this?" Elena asked.

"Well, as far as I can tell, it's a story. In simple, archaeological terms, it's a really, really old story," Ric began. He pointed over to a wall. "That right there, is the moon cycle," He points to the picture. "A man, a wolf,"

"A werewolf," Audrey finished for him.

"Yeah, it's the 'Lockwood Diaries: Pictionary Style'," Damon remarked sarcastically.

"I don't understand. I thought the Lockwood's came here with the Original Founders in the 1860's," Elena stated.

"I don't know. Maybe the Lockwood's did, but according to this wall, these werewolves have been here a lot longer than that," Ric replied simply.

"How long?" Audrey asked.

"Long, it gets better. Show them, Ric," Damon answered.

"Names. They're in native. They're written in Runic, a Viking script," Ric said as he pointed to the writings on the wall opposite to them.

"Vikings?" Elena asked .

"This name here, I translated it and it reads Niklaus," Ric continued. Audrey's heart sped up at the mention of the hybrid.

"Klaus," She sighed out.

"And Elijah, and Rebekah, and so on," Audrey was still focused on Klaus's name as Ric continued. She had to stop herself from reaching out to trace it. She felt like she was invading someone's privacy.

"These are the names of the Original Family?" Elena asked even though she knew the answer.

"Carved into a cave that's been here since way before the founding of Mystic Falls. Or even the entire New World, for that matter," Ric answered for her.

"Okay, this has gotta be one of Klaus's fakes," Elena stated as she shook her head.

"That's what I said!" Damon agreed.

"That could be true, except the last name up here made us think otherwise," Ric sighed, pointing to a familiar name. "Mikael,"

"Mikael...Mikael, as in, the vampire hunter who knows how to kill, Klaus?" Elena asked. Audrey rolled her eyes in annoyance. She was getting tired of all the questions. The mention of killing Klaus panicked Audrey and she didn't know why.

"Yep. I now like to call him 'Papa Original'," Damon chuckled. Audrey didn't find him funny, actually she didn't find anything funny because Klaus's life was in danger and for whatever reason, she was worried.
