《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》Dead Man Walking

The Salvatore house was dead quiet when Audrey ventured downstairs for a glass of water. It was dark, but the dying fire provided some light. As she got water from the fridge she had a feeling someone was watching her. When she turned around she nearly screamed. A figure was standing by the window and as they walked forward she saw who it was. Her heart was hammering and butterflies filled her stomach as he came closer. Klaus was smirking at her like she was his prey. Instead of feeling scared, Audrey felt...warm. Almost as if she was whole again. "Klaus..what are you doing here?" She asked calmly.

"I've been trying to create all these hybrids and it's been working but something was missing. I wasn't as satisfied as I thought I'd be. It took me a while to realize it was because of you," He explained, still nearing her. He stopped when he got right in front of her. "You haven't left my mind since I left," Audrey looked up at him in awe. He was actually admitting this to her.

"You...You haven't left mine either," She whispered. She glanced down at his lips and silently wondered what it'd feel like to kiss him. This was wrong but for some reason that was the last thing on her mind. Before she could think about what she was doing, she reached up and kissed him. His lips felt like heaven. For a moment, she didn't even think about the fact that it was Klaus she was kissing, only that his lips felt amazing. Slowly, he trailed down her jaw and to her neck. "This is so wrong," She sighed. "But I don't care," Without warning, Klaus bit into her neck and instead of feeling withering pain she felt immense pleasure. Audrey knew she was moaning but then she felt herself start to shake. She couldn't get what was happening. She felt pleasure but not enough to tremble. When she opened her eyes, Klaus was fading away and she could hear her name being called. As she jolted up she looked around to see she was laying in bed and Klaus was nowhere in sight. It was only a dream. Damon, on the other hand, was lying beside her in bed, smirking like an idiot. "What?" She asked when she saw him.

"Who were you dreaming about?" Suddenly, her heart picked up. Had she been talking in her sleep?

"Wha-um-what do you mean?" She replied innocently. Damon's smirk widened and he gave her a teasing wink.

"You were saying how wrong something was and moaning in your sleep. Having a sex dream about me, kitten?" Damon asked playfully. He was only teasing, but some sick part of him hoped it was about him. He could use an ego boost.

"Um..well. I was having a uh sex dream, but it was about..," Audrey tried racking her brain for any name other than Klaus and Damon's. "Caroline," The moment she heard what she said, she wanted to smack herself. Out of everyone she could think of, Caroline was the name to come out of her mouth.

"That is way better than you and me," Damon said with a serious expression. "If you want to fall back asleep or something to continue that dream, that would be amaz-ow!" Audrey smacking him hard cut him off.

"Shut it," She growled. He chuckled and looked up at the ceiling. "I'm going to shower. If I catch you trying to peek at me, I'll castrate you Damon Salvatore," He only winked at her as she got out of bed to head for the shower. Even when she was under the relaxing warm water, the dream she had, occupied her mind, stressing her out. Why would she dream something like that? It was bad enough that she had an attraction for the hybrid, but now to have sexy dreams of him. Was she going insane? When Audrey finished her shower, she redressed herself and walked downstairs to find something to eat. Only, instead of finding food, she found Damon tied to a chair with a fire poker sticking out of his chest. "Oh my god! What happened?!" She shouted as she ran over to him.

"Stefan," Damon groaned. "So not cool," Audrey pulled the poker from his chest and worked at getting the chains off of him but they were bound too tightly. When Stefan appeared, Audrey stood up to greet him angrily.

"What did you do?!" She asked furiously.

"What are you talking about? I didn't do anything," Normally, Audrey wouldn't believe him, but he genuinely looked shocked. "What the hell happened though?" Stefan asked walking over to the scene.

"I have no idea, but help your brother," Audrey insisted as she walked towards the front door to grab her shoes. "I'm already late and Caroline will kill me if I waste anymore time,"

"Hey, say hi to Caroline for me," Damon chuckled before groaning with pain. Audrey rolled her eyes at him before exiting the house. She knew Stefan probably wouldn't help Damon, but he'd be fine.

Audrey was hanging lanterns with Bonnie and Caroline in town square but even that couldn't keep the smirking jackass of an Original from her mind. "So when you did the spell to send Vicki away, did it get rid of Anna, too?" Caroline asked unexpectedly.

Bonnie sighed with annoyance. "I wish. All I did was block the magic that was helping Vicki get a physical foothold here. Jeremy's still got a direct line to the other side, and as long as he wants to see Anna and she wants to see him, she's still here,"

"Okay, you don't think I can actually resist commenting on that," Caroline said shooting Bonnie a look. Audrey nudged Caroline, but the blonde vampire wasn't getting the hint to keep her mouth shut.

"There. You commented," Bonnie mumbled.

"Bonnie...," Caroline trailed off with a knowing tone to her voice.

"What do you want me to say, Caroline? I went against the balance of nature when I brought Jeremy back to life, and now I'm paying the consequences," Bonnie snapped.

"Well I want you to say you're not okay with it," Caroline pushed.

"I'm a thousand times not okay with it. I just don't know what to do about it," Bonnie admitted, finally giving up. Caroline was about to open her mouth to respond, but Damon pulled up next to them. He rolled down the window and whistled to get their attention.

"Greetings, blondie, witchy, and princess. I think your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan," He smiled sweetly, but his voice held supreme sarcasm.

"What do you mean?" Bonnie asked, crossing her arms.

"Because I'm pretty sure I just got spit-roasted by Mason Lockwood's ghost," Damon answered.

"Man, I'd totally love that," Audrey blurted out without thinking. All eyes turned on her in confusion. "Oh come on! Uncle Mason was the hottest man around here before he kicked the dust!"

"That better be a joke, babe," Damon growled, cocking an eyebrow at her. She rolled her eyes and flipped him off.

"Wait, why would you even think that?" Caroline asked, returning her attention to the raven haired vampire in the car.

"Maybe because he chained me to a chair and shoved a hot poker in my chest. Let's just say I'm having deja vu," Damon explained annoyed.

"I thought you said ghosts couldn't physically interact with people," Caroline said to Bonnie.

"They can't," Bonnie answered.

"Yeah, well, I don't have time for a vengeful Lockwood. When I kill someone they're suppose to stay dead. Whatever you screwed up, fix it," Damon demanded before speeding away. All three girls shared a look.

"You know. I'm freaked out about this whole ghost thing too, but if Mason Lockwood was coming back to haunt me, I definitely wouldn't mind," Audrey sighed dreamily. Caroline giggled at her friend and shook her head.

Later in the day, Audrey sat with Alaric, Jeremy, and Elena at the grill to discuss the current problems arising. Elena wanted Jeremy to contact Lexie so she could give him ideas on how to get Stefan to change, but Jeremy didn't have a tie to her. "Do you think it's even possible to contact, Lexie?" Elena asked.

"I don't know. I didn't have an emotional connection to her. I never even met her," Jeremy answered, scratching the back of his neck.

"Can we just drop it, please?" Ric asked.

"No, I can't drop it, Ric. I don't know what else to do," Elena snapped.

"Don't you think we have a few too many dead vampires in our past to be sitting here thinking of them watching us?" Ric asked. Audrey glanced at her younger brother, only to see him look behind him at the empty chair.

"Is Anna here?" She asked. Jeremy had always been the closest to Audrey and never lied to her. He never had a reason to, she always protected him from everything and everyone. Even their parents sometimes to keep him out of trouble.

"No, no. I'm going to uh, check my work schedule," He replied, lying. Audrey refused to see it and didn't think twice when he got up to leave. As Jeremy left, Stefan took his seat.

"Hey guys. Who forgot to invite me to the family summit?" Stefan asked with obvious sarcasm. He looked at the bar where Elena had set his journal down. "Hmm? Wow. All these words. I forgot how much I used to care,"

"I didn't," Elena commented. Audrey and Ric shared a look.

"You know, Elena, it's probably best you not torture yourself with memories from the past. It's best we both just move on and accept things as they are," Stefan said, knowing well he'd hurt Elena. Audrey clenched her fist tightly, strongly considering punching him in his smug face.

"You don't have to be here, Stefan," Ric stated with disgust and annoyance.

"You know what, Alaric, you're right. I don't. But Elena and Audrey are here, and I look out for them. Besides, there's going to be people everywhere tonight. So there's going to be lots to eat," Stefan smiled sickly. Elena gave him a look of shock but he laughed in her face. "I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Loosen up," He finally gets up and walks away, releasing the tense atmosphere that grew from his presence.

"I can't drop it, Ric," Elena repeated. He nodded and looked down in disappointment. Seeing her sister so hurt only refueled Audrey's anger for Klaus. It was because of him that Stefan was like this, but her dream came rushing to her head and for some weird unexplained reason, her anger faded. After a few moments of silence Alaric suggested everyone went back home.

"I'll grab Jeremy," Ric stated.

"I'll be right back," Elena replied, getting up from the bar stool. Ric nodded and watched as she walked away to the bathrooms. Him and Audrey were about to get up as well, but Damon walking in stopped them.

"You know, I've had enough vampires today, thanks," Alaric sighed.

"Oh, come on. Have a drink with me. We've got trouble," Damon said, taking a seat beside Ric.

"No. You've got trouble. See, we're not a team. You tried to kill me. All right? We're not friends. I don't like you anymore," Ric explained blankly. Audrey covered her mouth to hide her snickering.

"Ah! But remember back when you liked me and we conspired to kill Uncle werewolf Mason Lockwood?" Damon questioned with a smirk.

"Yeah and?" Ric replied.

"I think he's still a little pissed," Audrey cocked an eyebrow at the vampire and crossed her arms.

"Yeah, and you know what I am too," She stated with fake seriousness. "Mason Lockwood was so flipping delicious and you just had to rip his heart out,"

"I thought you weren't into werewolves," Damon snapped, matching her raised eyebrow. "I thought it was blonde vampires that satisfied your taste," Her cheeks instantly reddened and she glanced at Ric as he gave her a confused look. She definitely regretted ever telling Damon that lie. When she couldn't come up with a response she looked away, only to see Mason Lockwood walking up to the bar.

"Mason," Alaric said in shock. Mason gave off his handsome smile as he picked a glass up from the bar.

"God, I missed whiskey," He sighed before taking a drink. Once he finished the glass, he smashed it on Damon's head.

"Told ya," Damon said looking at Alaric.

"Uncle Mason!" Audrey finally said, once her shock had subsided. He turned to the brunette and smirked. "God, am I happy to see that pretty face,"

"Little Audrey Gilbert. You know, this may be weird, considering I used to babysit you, but damn did you get hot," Mason chuckled. Audrey smirked back at him and stood up to give him a hug.

"Same goes for you, but you've always been hot," She giggled as she pulled away. He took a seat between Alaric and Audrey and ordered a few shots. Damon had been texting Bonnie and Elena to figure out how this was happening, when he got told that Elena's necklace was the cause of this.

"I'm never going to hear the end of that damn necklace," Damon grumbled.

"One of you will pay for this, right?" Mason asked Ric and Damon before turning back to Audrey. He handed her a shot glass and raised it to her. "Cheers," They clinked glasses and threw the shots back.

"Let's get to it. I killed you. You want revenge. Get in line," Damon said pulling Mason's attention off of the brunette.

"Actually, I want an apology," Mason replied causing both, Ric and Audrey to laugh.

"Good luck with that," Audrey laughed, taking another shot.

"Don't you have family to haunt? You know your nephew has turned into a mindless hybrid minion," Damon stated, rolling his eyes at the dead werewolf.

"That's why I'm here. To help Tyler," Mason answered.

"Well, sorry to break it to you, buddy, but Tyler can't be helped. At least not while Klaus is alive. Which is, like, always," Damon replied.

"Not necessarily. Not if you found a weapon that could kill him," Mason said as he downed another shot.

"There is no weapon that...what do you know?" Damon asked suddenly interested in what the werewolf had to say.

"I know you need to apologize," Mason smiled.

"You gotta be kidding me," Damon groaned.

"Are you incapable of remorse? Just apologize!" Ric shouted, wanting the meeting with the ghost to end.

"You're right. I didn't have to kill you. I do a lot of things I don't have to do," Damon gritted out angrily. Mason chuckled with pride.

"Good enough," He laughed as he stood up from the bar. "Meet me at the old Lockwood cellar. Bring a shovel," Mason glanced at Ric before continuing. "Come alone,"

"I can't join this little hunt?" Audrey pouted playfully. She wasn't really interested in joining Mason and Damon until the mention of killing Klaus came up. Something inside of her stirred at the thought of the idea.

"You'd be risking your life and I think the world would be tragic without Audrey Gilbert in it," Mason smiled. He knew he was crossing boundaries as he stepped closer to the girl, but not being able to be noticed by women for such a long time deprived him. It felt good to flirt again. "It's good to see you again though. I'll have your pretty face to remember when all of this is over and I'm sent back to the other side," He was dangerously close to the Gilbert girl but made no move on her. He smirked at her before turning around to walk out of the bar.

"What are you planning on burying me alive?" Damon called out as Mason kept walking.

"Don't tempt me," Mason smirked. As he left Damon turned to Audrey.

"Enough with the flirting, okay?" He frowned.

"What? Jealous babe?" Audrey asked with a wink.
