mannered daughter who knows nothing but gallivant around London." Y/N's aunt said while the girl glared at her, fixing her posture.
"Leave us alone." Her father said. With that, all the maids including her aunt were gone. It was only them and them alone.
"If you're going to slap me, do it already. I'd gladly feel it. I don't know what happened to you after mother left." Y/N boldly said.
"I was simply awakened," the man uttered. The girl scoffed and rolled her eyes, "No, you were scared. Scared that they might go after you next."
"Such bravery. You got it from your mother," he answered and stood up from his seat. The man raised his hands up as he walked towards her and slapped her hard across the face with a sound of his skin hit hers. Her face tilted to the side as her cheek flushed red from the pain.
Y/N panted. "As you stay here, you will learn how to sit, stand, walk, talk, even laugh properly like a lady." He said. "I've already learned all of that in the early years of my life, don't you remember?", she asked with such venom in her voice.
"You remember the memories, but entirely forgot the lessons." He responded.
"I didn't," Y/N protested.

"If you did, you would've stayed here and have a husband right now." Her father said. She frowned, "You're marrying me off?!"
"Would have, but now it seems we have to train you again to catch the eye of the Lord Barron's son."
"You are disgusting," she spat in a hushed tone. "Why you little You are under my turf! Under my rules! Which only means you're going to do what I tell you to do and once you don't, I will never be afraid of disowning you! You're a disgrace to this family! You're nothing but an arrogant girl in a big world that doesn't know anything!", he shouted, his face all red from anger and his knees shaking from pure irritation.
The raising of the volume of his voice made her breath hitch as she let out a sob that tells her it is going to be impossible to bring the man back to who he once was.
"Take a bathe and change your dress. Stay in your room until I tell you to come out. Your windows are tightly sealed and barred. Your room is guarded. You can never get out of this estate until I tell you to. Go." He said. The girl hesitated. "I said go!", he yelled. She moved her feet to the second floor of the house with two maids following after her.
So this is the life she's going to live. At least Tewkesbury is safe.
Is he?
The Viscount quickly went back to the room they paid for in a rush. He closed the door behind him and sighed, sinking to the floor with his back on the wall.
He ran his fingers through his hair as he see hissed. The boy then placed his hands on his eyes, facepalming. He stared at the floor and leaned his head back.

The feeling of coming back in here is strange. Oh how he isn't used to set foot in this room without Y/N. Tewkesbury let out a groan as his fist came in contact with the floor.
Standing up, he saw the things that belonged to her. The Viscount slowly wlaked over to one. Her light pink dress was still sitting on the chair just like it was when they left. He touched the expensive elegant organza fabric as he looked around the room.
Then, his hand felt something on the dress. He saw the perfectly-made lace around the hip level of the garment. He frowned when he felt something sharp.
Curious, he untied it and there fell a short silver dagger with carved designs. He bent down to grab it. Once he did so, he felt something under.
He looked at the bottom part of the handle and noticed that it can be opened. "Strange. I don't remember daggers having secret lids under the bottom." He muttered under his breath.
Opening it revealed a small piece of parchment. He took it and unfolded the fresh material, reading what was written on it.
This is the first time I've lost my dagger. It would mean the stars if you could give it back to me, whoever you are. Here is my estate...
Her estate sounded so familiar to him. It's like he has heard it before. Then, his eyes widened. He had heard the exact same thing from the girl he met in the flower field with his father.
Oh how he vividly recalls her h/c colored hair touching her shoulders and her e/c eyes gazing back to his own. He couldn't believe he had forgotten about her even her name.
But how does she know about this estate address.
Could she possibly be the girl he met over ten years ago?
He was about to take his seat on the foot of the bed when his eyes fell back to the white lace. Maybe there's something else in there.
Nothing. Nothing seemed to be there at all. But then he felt small pebbles in the soft fabric. He thought, maybe there's something important in the inside of the lace. Tewkesbury used the dagger to open it and there he saw a few small shimmering crystals.
'Why are these in here?', he thought to himself. The boy poured all the tiny stones to his hands until there were no more. As the crystals fell, he caught a silver pendant of a rose with initials engraved behind.

He frowned. The Marquess remembered asking his father to carve this. He examined the pendant. He remembered this all too well. What is it doing in that lace?
Why does she have this?
It suddenly hit him.
She was the girl he met in the flower field on the outskirts of town. She was the girl who destroyed his flower and becoming friends after. Why didn't he recognize her from the start?
Questions filled his mind then soon after followed by choices. A few minutes after, his decision then was final.
He's going after her.
