. "So, you genuinely believe my life's in danger," Tewkesbury asked. "Not just yours, Y/N's too," Enola answered, making Y/N frown.

"Er, from whom?" he asked again. "Your past and your future," The girl in pink said.

"Whatever does that mean?" The Viscount queried. "Your family. They didn't send a detective to find you. They could have, and they didn't. Instead, they sent a murderer. And as for Y/N, have you heard? Your father has become friends with two Lords. It's a benefit and a danger for once they find out about your actions, fighting for feminism, you may not stand a chance. Everything that you own can never be claimed again."

L/N was having a hard time processing what the girl had uttered. "Why would anyone want me dead?" Tewkesbury asked. "Countless reasons!" Enola replied. "I agree with Enola. You are a pretty stubborn git after all," Y/N said.

"Not to mention, your personality, your ridiculous hair, your silly smile, or possibly your land, your estate, your title, your seat. The same reason they want your father dead. Greed does funny things to people, Tewksbury," Holmes said as they walked to another room. Y/N was just following slightly behind when she can't shake the feeling that she's being watched.

"So now you're saying you think they killed my father?"

The girl turned around, discreetly snaking her hands somewhere underneath her dress. Once she got what she wanted from there, she hid the knife in her sleeves and turned back to her friends."I don't think. I know."

"No, no. None of this makes the slightest sense. My father's death was caused by a botched burglary and and It would have been easier to kill me before I ran away rather than now "

"I entirely agree. I think they tried to. I found the branch that almost killed you.It had been cut." "Cut?"

As both of them argued, Y/N heard a leather squeak and the door creaked behind her so she quickly turned around to see a man, "Er, Guys? Did someone invite the weirdo behind the door?" She asked.

Enola rapidly grabbed the whistling kettle and hit him with it. "I guess the answer to that is 'no'." L/N said and snatched her knife from her sleeve, throwing it slightly to the shoulder with just enough distance of aim to create a painful deep gash.

"Seriously, he could've been more quiet", Y/N mumbled. "This is not the time to be sarcastic, L/N! Let's go!" Tewkesbury exclaimed, grabbing her hand, pushing the man as hard as he could and leaving the room.

"Come back here!' The man yelled. "Oh, sure. Let's just forget why we're running from you" L/N yelled back. "Who's that?" She and the marquess asked in unison. The three went to the bedroom, closing the door.

"Move the chest! Move the chest!" The boy did as he was told as they all tried to hold the door.

"Open up, Miss Posy! Or, should I say, Miss Holmes!", the man shouted from the other side of the wooden material.

"Wait, so, out of all the names out there, you chose Posy?" Y/N asked. Enola hummed, "It was the first name that came up. At least it's short unlike yours."

The friendly taunting was interrupted by the full force of the man. "Inspector Lestrade, I need to report an attempted murder. You're supposed to be on our side!" Holmes shouted.

"Help me through this door." They heard.

"See that window over there?" Enola asked. Both Y/N and Tewkesbury looked at what she just pointed out. "It leads onto a roof. I need you two to climb out and take off into nowhere."

The girl in the peach dress frowned at Enola. She looked at the Viscount, "And leave you?" He asked.

"That's preposterous, Enola! We can't just feed you to the raging shark on the other side of this door!" Y/N exclaimed.

"I need to hold it!" "But you need to get away too!" "If he catches you two, your lives will be in danger. If he catches me, it's simply a life that I do not want. Now, go!"

"I don't want to leave you, Enola."

"We. We don't want to leave you. There's got to be another way! Maybe the chair and — " Y/N desperately looked for something to help them hold the door, but there's nothing.

"It's hopeless, Y/N. Go! Go!" Holmes yelled. "No, no, no. Enola ", Y/N was interrupted by Tewkesbury holding her hand and pulling her to him.

"It's fine, L/N. Just go." Enola mumbled sympathetically. The girl in the peach dress sighed in frustration and slowly nodded. Just then, Tewkesbury gave Holmes one last look before getting out and helping Y/N down with him.

Running through the busy streets to the quiet ones, Y/N felt tired, but she never stopped.

Suddenly, a group of men in uniform were hot on their trail, making everything even more terrifying than it was before. "Stop right there!", they heard.

They both didn't. Instead, they turned to a narrow alley, losing them, but they knew they would find them there eventually. Y/N had a plan, but she has to wait a few more seconds to act on it.

"Tewkesbury! We need to stop and rest for a bit." She said. With that, they stopped and hid somewhere.

The girl panted and spoke, "You have to leave me. They're going to be here in any minute and if I don't give them a distraction, there's no telling we're going to get away."

"Not you too."

"Tewkesbury, listen to me. You have to go. My life isn't in danger just like Enola told us earlier. I know my father wouldn't let anything happen to me. I have a chance to change him back to himself. However, you, your life is too important to lose. You have no chance of changing the intentions of whoever is trying to get you killed. Those men are a minute away from catching us. You have no time to waste."

"But I don't want to leave you. I don't want to be alone again. Y/N, you have to come with me. We can We can " This time it was Tewkesbury who's trying to find a path to where they could go so desperately.

"Tewkesbury! Just trust me! This is the best way to get you off this situation." She said. "Sometimes, there aren't any more ways. You have to flee."

They heard the footsteps of the running men just a few feet away. The Marquess looked at them then at the girl who sympathetically looked at him. He panted and stared at her.

"Leave me."

With that, he made his decision and tightly took Y/N's hand, lifting it up to his lips, giving it a light gentle peck.

L/N was, of course, taken aback by the action, but decided to just shrug it off and smile. She looked down to the ground then back to him. He started backing away slowly, still giving her a look.

"Until we meet again, Y/N."

"Until we meet again," she mumbled. Her smile faded as the Viscount sprinted away.

"Grab her!" She heard as she was taken by the men in uniform. "You are a disgrace to your family name."

"My family name holds no title nor does it hold the disgusting privilege you don't lend to others who deserve it better." She said looking at the man in front of her.

He only laughed, "If your father hears about this, your mouth will be stitched right up. While you were running around like a headless chicken with that useless boy, your father has earned the title of one of the Lord's right-hand man."

"Well, that's unfortunate," L/N mumbled.

"Naivety gets you nowhere. Now, you are to return to your father's home."

"You mean hell?" "Silence!"

"What if I don't want to?" She asked tauntingly. "You are one stubborn and ungrateful little girl."

"I'm not a girl. I'm a woman."
