《Cold Night Boy (Larry au; BDSM)》~ 25 ~

Niall slammed the door shut by reflex, his beating heart overwhelming his senses. His mother. Mother? Could he even call Jay his mother anymore? .. Why was she standing in front of their house. Maybe she was only something he made up. Maybe Niall's mind went crazy.
"Bloody cunt," he spoke, running a hand through his hair in frustration, tugging on the dark roots for a second until he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Y-you mean a w-woman's p-period, N-Ni?" Louis giggled shyly, his cheeks flushing adorably as he looked up at the blonde man. Why was he so pale. And who was that woman outside?
"Y-you look like you've seen a g-ghost!" Louis gasped and pouted lightly, titling his head to the side. He didn't understand! Who was that out there?
Louis tried to peak past Niall who still didn't get a word out. Jay.. Something was ringing in his head, hurting him and he didn't want that feeling to over come him but it eventually did. Louis whimpered, shaking his head as tears pricked his eyes. "N-no, n-no mommy, no brother, n-no!" Louis pulled the door open roughly, blinking with sad eyes at his mother.
"Y-you've left us, stop hurting!!" Louis exclaimed angrily, lower lip wobbling before he turned to look up at Niall whose blue eyes were filled with pure hate and anger, something Louis has never seen in him before. He didn't think it was possible that Niall would be this angry.. Until now.
"What..", he spat out and licked along his teeth, "do ye want."
Niall slowly wrapping an arm around Louis, pulling him back against his side. His mind couldn't process the fact, yet. That they were brothers. But he knew that he needed to protect Louis.
"Niall, please, listen to me." Jay begged, eyes open wide as she stared at Niall with orbs that were just like his. Niall was disgusted by it.
"Do you think it's fair?" Niall whispered and tilted his head to the side, swallowing harshly. "To let them take me, to let me live with them. I grew up alone, with no one and nearly died before I got a grip in my life. I am good without you, mom." Niall spat out angrily and shook his head, a frustrated laughter leaving his lips.
"I'm good without you.." He repeated, much quieter and looked down, his chest heaving and falling quickly. "It's not fair that you've decided to show up and not ask me if I want you back in my life," Niall gulped and looked up to his mother again.
Louis was silent the whole time. He didn't really understand.
"W-what?" He said quietly and sniffled, "my m-mommy is yours?" Louis swallowed heavily, feeling like he was going to faint. He wished he could pass out in Harry's arms where everything was okay, where everything was going to be good.
He was facing reality now.
Facing the fact that he had a brother, that his mommy was alive, that she stood right in front of him again. He wasn't prepared. It wasn't fair.

"You know I," Louis started quietly, "I've waited for you for ten years.. I spent ten years alone," he said quietly and smiled weakly. "Sometimes it's just too late.." Louis looked down.
"Louis, I couldn't return! They'd find me, they'd find you! I-I went to the adoption house in hope of finding one of you two.. They led me to this house. Mr Styles adopted you, yes. God I'm so happy you're alive and well," Jay closed her eyes hard, wrapping her arms around both boys embracing them in her warmth. But they remained frozen.
"You just don't have anywhere else to go anymore," Niall mumbled and teared himself off the woman giving her a small nod though. "You can come in. But not for long since Louis and I have plans." The blonde lad peaked down at Louis in disbelief. It was too obvious that he couldn't see it before. But Louis' eyes were just like his. There was a bond between them, something that made the other feel home.
Niall frowned though as the woman came in, the woman that gave birth to both of them, yet had no part in their lives. Louis whimpered quietly as he trotted after them to the desk in the living room, sitting down on a chair and peaking down at his phone. He wanted Harry.. He needed him.
"So," Jay cleared her throat and smiled at the two unmoving boys in front of her. She let out a sigh. "I'm so sorry I-"
"Why did you get pregnant with me, mother?" Niall raised his head up to Jay, clearing his throat. "Why, when you made the decision that your life is going to consist out of drugs? There was no room in your life for children.. And there still isn't."
Jay gulped and entwined her fingers, before she tucked a greasy strand of her hair behind her ear. She looked.. Tired. Exhausted. Done.
"I have to admit that you weren't planned, Niall," Jay started, her fingers fidgeting. The drugs have left their marks on her body. "But that doesn't mean I love you less, I've decided to want you!"
"Sometimes I wish you haven't," Niall inhaled sharply and looked over at Louis, taking the lost boy's hand and squeezed. "Why making that mistake all over again with him? Did it.. Give you a kick to create a new life just to drag it down with you?"
The right corner of Niall's lips twitched up in a kind of sick amusement.
"You are a disgusting human.. One that I'm done with," Niall looked up again and shook his head.
Jay knew that she lost Niall. She knew back then. When her husband urged her to move out. He kept her from searching Niall.
"I'm sorry," she hiccuped with a ragged sob. Niall didn't even blink. "You should be in jail, Jay. For child abuse." Niall scoffed and looked over at Louis who shyly peaked up to Jay.
"I-I love you, mommy.. Louis waited for you every day. Looking out of the window.. Cold, so cold." Louis closed his eyes and whimpered, his thumb hovering over the call button on Skype. Harry.

"Louis, I please- give me another chance," Jay whined before she fell silent at Louis' next words.
"W-When is louis' birthday, mommy? What do Louis first in the morning? What's favourite book, what make Louis laugh, what's m-my fav-favourite animal?"
Before Jay could answer, a deep voice suddenly filled the room, giving Louis chills.
"24th of December, drink a hot mug of cocoa, Peter Pan cause I've read it five times to you already, SpongeBob SquarePants and my bad jokes and last but not least. Kittens and hedgehogs."
Louis placed Harry's iPhone on the desk, showing off a very angry looking curly haired man staring into the camera. Since Louis only had an old phone without the ability to download Skype on it, Harry left him his phone for the week.
"What the hell are you doing in my house, Mrs Tomlinson." Harry's nostrils flared as their eyes met through the camera. Harry wasn't even surprised to see her. They only found the man dead. Yet, there weren't any records about her death or further treatment.
Jay swallowed hard and looked up to Niall and Louis before her eyes travelled back to the phone, "well, Sir. I'm their biological mother. I have a right to see my kids, haven't I?" Her voice was pleading. If she wouldn't have fucked up so hard, Harry could have had pity on her.
"No, you haven't. And do you know why? Because you abused them, you left them on their own when they were in need of help." Harry roared and ran a hand through his hair.
"I took care of Niall, he has a warm place to stay, he earns money being my cook, he's welcomed with joy and love in this house. I didn't know much of kids when I adopted Louis. And I may have made mistakes but I never hit nor endanger him by my actions. Nor did I leave him alone, Mrs. I love both of them. More than you ever could."
Louis' lower lip wobbled heavily before thick tears dropped from his watery eyes as he listened to Harry, holding onto Niall's hand tightly. They were a family, right? Niall was his brother. Harry was his daddy. His partner. And Harry was there for Niall, too.
"I don't even have to look at them to know that they don't wanna be in contact to you in any way." Harry licked his lips and sat down in his chair again, inhaling calmly as he stared intensely at the woman.
Jay nodded slowly and flinched, "I'm sorry I was a bad mom. I'm sorry I wasn't able to take care of my children properly. I honestly am," she stood up. Only Harry's eyes followed her actions, the faces of her children were turned away. Louis was crying quietly, his body shaking.
Jay smiled weakly before she grabbed her bag, "thanks for letting me know that my children are in good hands.. Grown up to two handsome men. It's all I wanted to know," she said quietly and blew each of the boys a kiss before she was out of the door.
Louis' breathing got erratic. Faster and heavier, uncontrollable as Niall turned the phone around, making them able to look at Harry now. "Louis," Harry said quickly and stood up again, looking worryingly at the boy on his screen. "You need to breathe, I'm here okay? Niall's there, breathe with him."
"What's wrong with him?" Niall said panicked, holding onto Louis' hand as the younger boy's face started to turn to a light blue colour.
"He's having a panic attack," Harry murmured and felt his eyes widen as he watched what was going on. It was all just too much for Louis. Mommy and daddy were bad people, daddy was dead, mommy was alive but scary-looking. Drugs ate her up, drugs ate her up. Louis' left alone, mommy didn't want him, left, left, left.
"Niall call a fucking ambulance!" Harry yelled through the phone before Louis' eyes rolled back, showing off only the white as his body shook uncontrollably and then there was nothing.

"It's too cold outside for angels to fly, an angel will die, Covered in white, Closed eye and-" Harry hummed quietly as his eyes looked up over Louis' white hospital nightgown. He smiled weakly. Harry's eyes were dull, tired. He has barely slept in the last past days.
"You're an angel, covered in white," Harry whispered and brought Louis' hand up to his lips, pressing soft kisses to the skin there. Harry booked the next flight home. But Louis didn't wake up for three days.
Three days filled with worry, panic and blank horror.
"Wake up," Harry said quietly and closed his eyes that were starting to fill with tears again. Louis wasn't in a coma, no. His body was overwhelmed. It was self protection. Shut down.
"Hawwy.." Louis slurred lightly, fingers twitching as his face contorted painfully. Everything hurt. His eyes opened, getting clear after a while.
Louis found Harry's eyes.
"Oh, baby," Harry whispered and cupped his cheek in one of his big hands, cooing down at the small boy. "What happened.." Louis murmured, hissing as he felt his throbbing head.
"You passed out, Louis. You slept for three days.. I was sick with worry," Harry inhaled deeply wanting to stay calm for the boy. Louis whimpered and opened his arms, hugging Harry to him and nuzzled into his neck with a small smile.
Harry's scent, Harry's skin. Harry was back..
Louis hummed in content, burying his nose in Harry's hair as the two just held onto each other, too afraid to ever let go again. They couldn't be without the other.
The beeping sound of the heart rate machine that controlled Louis' beating heart, went up rather quickly due to the fact he was so close to Harry again.

It took me rather long to write this chapter, yet I hope it's good. I tried and cried.
