"Sadie, come here girl."

Ambrosia cried out closing the french door behind her as she stepped onto the patio.

The sky was cloudless and the trees towering the entrance path from the patio gate into the woods rustled as a rush of wind blew by.

Ambrosia called again for her dog as she stepped slowly crunching the dead leaves beneath her.

Sadie barked in response but was hidden from Ambrosia's sight.

Ambrosia shook the bowl of food that was in her hand hoping to get her attention. However, Sadie didn't run to her.

Instead, all Ambrosia got in return was small cries and growls. Ambrosia briskly walked around the large patio while tracking down her dog.

The growls grew louder and louder and Ambrosia furrowed her brows in worry.

"Sadie!"

Ambrosia gasped as she finally caught sight of Sadie tugging at a piece of wood from behind a hedge. Ambrosia placed the bowl down and gave a sharp whistle.

Sadie unlatched her mouth from the wood and sped towards the bowl nearly crashing into Ambrosia's legs.

Ambrosia laughed softly and pet her companion as she ate.

Looking up Ambrosia saw Elias emerge from behind the tall hedge a delicate smile played on his lips.

Ambrosia's posture tensed as he realized where Sadie had gone and he now stared deeply into Ambrosia's eyes while walking towards her.

Ambrosia looked down slightly, surprised at his intense gaze.

What's wrong with me. I never act like this.

"Uh, good mornin-"

Before Ambrosia could sputter her greeting Elias' thumb found it's way under her chin to raise her gaze to his. Without haste he pressed his lips against her own and separated every so slightly before taking advantage of another kiss.

He was warm, his touch sparked a fire onto her skin.

Elias drew back and ran his hand over his curly head.

"Good morning," he breathed.

Ambrosia shuddered as his low voice brushed over her she found herself with her eyes closed leaning into him for more. Her hand made its way onto the wrist of his hand controlling her head.

He feels so strong...let me just hold on a little longer here. That voice, I can hear it like I did last night. It was so hushed, it echoed in my head in the heat of that passion.

She blinked from her thoughts and look at Elias with wide eyes. Elias had his eyes focused onto her lips and a light tint over his pale cheeks.

"You want more, flower?"

More, more of what!

Ambrosia shook herself out of her sensual daze and took a step back and let out an over-excited nervous laugh.

"Oh wow, Elias we-uh...not here," Ambrosia stammered looking back at the house cautiously.

"Then where would you like to go hm?" Elias purred before attacking her perfectly exposed neck with kisses.

Ambrosia gasped in surprise and pushed back at him with a wary look.

He was acting so bold.

"No, I mean we can't do this."

Elias' face flickered with worry.

"What, do you mean?"

Ambrosia glanced at Sadie who found a nice shaded place to lay by a manicured bush. Then she looked over to her fathers bedroom window, her heart pounded with regret.

She looked back at a now a anxious Elias awaiting her answer.

Ambrosia knew why she let herself go with him last night. She needed some distraction something to stir her away from the responsibilities that her family needed her to uphold. But this was not only prevalent here, but in the past, with Dante and many others before him.

She knew deep in her soul that she was always using Dante for her own satisfaction and even keeping him around for her own self-esteem boost.

Elias was not different, sadly, Ambrosia was scared of how strong her interest in him grows still.

The mysterious son of a lawyer, a man of multiple possibilities that had eyes for her. But gazing in his eyes Ambrosia knew something was wrong with him.

Ambrosia came to her conclusions.

I have to make my distance now.

Hopefully it is not to late.

"I came here for family matters not to have some secret fling with a guy that doesn't even know me," Ambrosia stated firmly. Her arms folded and she stood her ground.

Just imagine it's Dante.

Elias' lip quivered before he slipped a confused and sad smile. His brown eyes scanning her face as if he knew how hard it was for her to say these things.

"I want to get to know you Ambrosia, I've always wanted to," Elias replied calmly.

"If your mad about last night I am truly sorry-ah we agreed to be friends..."

Just imagine it's Dante.

Ambrosia shook her head and rubbed her arms as a gust of cold wind whipped past them.

"No, I-I don't care about that anymore, we need to stop this now."

Elias sighed his face showed no expression but his eyes were cold and somewhat angry.

"Of course, flower."

Elias turned away from her and headed off to the gardening shed.

Ambrosia was put off by his quick answer and called out.

"Where are you going?"

Elias opened the shed door and looked back at her pausing for a moment before he spoke.

''Garden work."

With that, he went inside the shed and shut the door. Ambrosia lingered in her spot on the porch for a few more moments as if expecting God to pat her shoulder for self-control.

But all she received was a cold blow of wind that pushed her back into the house. Along with the silent ache of regret.

Elias POV

I closed the door of the shed and leaned on it. My hands covered my eyes and I sighed.

The frustration and sadness caused by Ambrosia welled up inside my chest only to be released as a laugh.

"Damn it," I chuckled.

"I never knew she could be so cruel...I can't stop thinking about her."

Her beautiful smile.

Thoughts of the night came plummeting into my brain, the look of purity in her eyes. The way I kissed along the smooth brown planes on her body. Her moan her cries for me.

It's better this ended now, mother can sense the attraction.

It's a beauty she wishes to destroy.

"To hell with mother, Ambrosia can't let me go, I can see it in her eyes."

This is dangerous, we can't involve Ambrosia into mother's business.

"She has to find out...she has to know that I am only a pawn."

But what if she won't believe us, she'll never come near.

You should go into the hole like mother told you.

Worthless animal, mistake of a-

"Shut the hell up!"

I gripped a small bottle in my pocket and took it out.

My hands were shaking and sweating from the anxiety that the softer side was screwing through my thoughts.

I took two pills and grabbed a water bottle I had been carrying to help wash down.

The pounding reduced and the pressure of the darkness around my vision decreased.

I slumped back and rubbed my face and shook my pill bottle.

It was time for another visit to the doctor.
