《Mine (LenxMiku/Lenku/MikuxLen)》4

Crap crap crappity crap.
Just great. Miku can be dumb sometimes. She almost blew off our secret. Our stupid, horrid secret.
No, she can't work. Not until we have nice things. I want to work for her.
I want to be her obedient servant.
I glance at the time.
9:30 PM
"I-Impossible! We only came at 5:00!" I put my hands on my head in confusion.
"What is it, Mikuo?" Rin walks up next to me and looks at the time.
"Oh no. You can't go back this late. You HAVE to sleep over-"
I legitimately thought that Len spat out a drink when he heard this.
"No way. Where would they sleep, anyway??" He protested, crossing his arms into a big X.
Miku raised her hand.
"I SECOND THAT NOTION." She was blushing furiously. She's never had a sleepover before. I haven't either. Call us crazy, go ahead.
"Nonsense, you two! Mikuo can sleep with Len, and Miku, we'll share my bed!"
Miku and I looked at each other and sighed solemnly.
"Alright..."
I could hear squeals from Rin as she hugged me. Tightly.
Wether I liked to admit it or not, I'm glad she couldn't hear my heart beat like a drum.
Len and Miku rolled their eyes, but I could see Len, just out of the corner of my eye, giving us all a soft smile.

We were all in bed. Rin was asleep, and, despite my protesting, she gave me something to sleep in.
It was Rin's old nightgown.
I was only a few inches taller than Rin, so it fit me fine.
I slowly crept out of bed, trying my best not to disturb Rin. I wanted a glass of water, so I lightly opened the door.

As I crept downstairs, I couldn't help the feeling that... someone was following me.
Or at least watching me.
I couldn't tell which.
I sigh and reach the tiles of the kitchen floor. I remember the neat freak that lives in this house.
Glancing over at the sink, there are the bowls that I dropped.
I put my hands on my face in embarrassment, more than I can admit.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid..." I whisper-yell at myself as my feet carry me onto the tile.
"Looking for this?" A soft voice, almost in a whisper, tells me. I stop in my tracks.
What was she doing up at night? She could get lack of sleep disorder! If that's a real thing?
I shakily hold up the glass of water as I say, "Looking for this?"
She looks at me for a second and then nods, almost hesitating to walk over.
She carefully takes the glass out of my hands, and I almost heard a... thank you?
"What are you doing up?" She says finally, taking a sip of water.
I don't know what to respond with. I can't let her know that, "Oh, me? I was stalking you as you go downstairs because I heard a noise and I thought it was a spider so I got scared." Wait, scratch that last part.
"It doesn't matter- wanna watch a movie?" I say a little too quickly.
"Uh... okay? Are you su-"
"YEP." I can feel the heat rise in my cheeks.
- TIME SKIP -
We were both on the couch. Sitting together.
I would glance over at her occasionally, only this time, for better or for worse, I see her head resting peacefully on my shoulder and her eyes are closed.
Crap.
I feel hot all over.
I don't wanna move! It's like having a sleeping puppy on your lap!
With all these thoughts swirling around my head, I unconsciously put my hand around her and gripped her close.
Sooner or later, we were both asleep, in each other's arms.

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
