《Here》Chapter Thirteen

Sun beamed through the window and onto the wall. I was trapped in a new room accompanied by him.
I remained motionless as his muscular arms imprisoned my body in place next to his firmly.
I need to get out. I didn't think things thoroughly last time. Maybe I should have kicked him a few times before I tried to escape through the window.
He chained up my ankle again last night, chaining my right one this time instead of my left.
"Good morning." He whispered gruffly in my ear.
I stiffened.
He tucked my hair behind my ear and nibbled on my earlobe.
I pulled myself away and pushed my body away from his.
He seized my hair in a tight grip, causing me to cry out.
At this point I was fed up. He wants a fight? He is going to get one.
I twisted my body and punched him in the face, his nose instantly bleeding.
"Fuck." He growled in irritation, holding his nose as the crimson blood dropped onto his royal blue bed sheets.
I shook my hand. His face hurt it. I don't think I've ever punched anyone that hard.
I smirked as he got off the bed and hurried into the bathroom.
I opened the nightstand drawer and searched for keys while he was gone. Nothing.
Remembering that he had placed them in his jean pocket, I got off the bed to get to his jeans.
I reached towards them but the chain stopped me. I was so close. I stretched my body and was interrupted as Lorenzo came out of nowhere, immediately grabbed his jeans and moved them out of my range. He gave me a harsh stare.
I leaned against the bed, picking at the nail hanging off of my finger from the brick yesterday. I could feel his anger.

He grabbed my injured hand and jerked me up, causing me to cry out. He then pushed me on the bed.
I instantly began to crawl away knowing that what was about to happen wasn't going to be good.
I heard him exit the room.
Why?
He came back with a pair of pliers in his hand, no expression on his face.
I crawled off the other side of the bed and kept as much distance as possible between us.
He quickly came towards me.
I grabbed the lamp off the nightstand behind me and swung it at him, gasping as he grabbed it and threw it towards the wall.
The lamp broke into pieces.
He grabbed my hair and drove my face into the mattress.
My screams were muffled as he pinned my body under his knee.
He grabbed my hand that was injured and placed my hanging nail in the cool metal pliers, ripping it off unmercifully.
I screamed in pain as I felt the nail remove from the nail bed.
My finger felt like it was on fire. I could feel blood running down from my hand.
He grabbed my hair and pulled my head to the side as he leaned in.
"Stop hurting me and I'll stop hurting you." He growled as he pulled a first aid kit out of the nightstand.
My eyes watered as he held my body in place, pinning it beneath his.
He poured alcohol on it, wiping the blood off with a soft cloth.
I whined as the alcohol burned it.
He put pressure on it, then wrapped it so that the bleeding would ease.
I felt the chain get removed and his body get off mine.
"Get cleaned up before I decide if I want to remove a few more for you or not." He whispered, pushing me towards the bathroom.

I stumbled to the bathroom and stripped, knowing not to shut the door. I turned the water on and got in the shower, turning the heat up and leaning my head against the shower wall.
What am I going to do?
He's definitely bipolar. He gets mad easily.
I need out of here, I don't know how to get out.
I was interrupted from my thoughts as the shower curtain was pulled open, him standing naked and stepping inside without permission.
"Get out." I growled.
My body was suddenly pressed against the cold wall, my head turned to the side as my left cheek was on the porcelain wall. He pressed his body against mine.
I cried out, knocking shampoo bottles off of the shower wall.
"Stop it." I yelled, squeezing my eyes shut and opening my legs further to avoid contact with him.
"When will you learn that fighting with me only leads to you getting hurt?" He whispered my ear.
"I'm sorry." I cried out sobbing.
He remained motionless for a minute, then left me alone leaving the bathroom.
I cried as my legs gave out and I fell to the shower floor, curling into a ball.
I was seconds away from losing my innocence.
I had to get out.

AK - The Alchemy Kingdom
Karl always wanted to be a Mage. He was born in the Serion Kingdom, a fully pledged magic Kingdom. Seems like a perfect match, right? Unfortunately, no. He's just a commoner, working endlessly to maintaining the lifestyle of Mages. On his 15th birthday, his last chance to escape from a miserable life was destroyed when he was deemed to have no magic potential. For thousands of Serion's citizens that would be the end of their dreams. But how could this story be any fun, ending like that? Follow Karl and his friends while they tried to fight against the Kingdom's oppression. Will the system bend them to submission or will they break the chains of destiny? Spoiler alert: After thousands of years, an ancient Magic system will be reborn in the small Caiset village. What should you expect? - Kingdom Building: For sure! The heavy lifting will come later, I promise! Foundation is important, please be patient; - Epic battles: A Kingdom is not built without war and conflict. Who doesn't like good fights? Let's bring some excitement to this novel!; - Multiple leading characters: Karl convinced them to get on the bus, but this is a very long trip and everyone will need to drive a little; - Scientific Magic System: Especially Alchemy! I'm in no way trying to take the fantasy out of Magic. I just feel like trying to do something more logical. I'll probably stumble on a fine line, but I’m counting on you to keep me on track!; - World Building: I’m using some basic concepts from traditional Fantasy Worlds and trying to add some nice touches to make it unique; - Fun?: I'll try to insert some humor into the story, but that’s an experience we will go through together. Other points I find important: Alchemy is mostly crafting magic tools, but it will go a little further down the road. Even if you don't like crafting, weapon enhancing and whatnot, don’t give up on the novel. You might be surprised about Alchemy's reach later. Also, other types of Magic will play an important role here, just not the leading role. ......... Check out my two spin-off novels, Merchant Queen and Harbinger of Death! Both are independent novels, but with the same world setting... Maybe some crossover later... Either way, you can check them to get additional information on worldbuilding and hidden plots... Please leave a comment! If you want to help me more, support me on Patreon. I'm always trying to come up with new ways for you to participate in this journey.
