"Felix? Where are you?" Her tiny voice peeped through the door. "Helloooo? You've been in there forever! I need the restroom!"

"Lix? You alright? Hello?"

"..." She paused. "I'm coming in if you don't reply."

"...4, 3, 2, 1! I'm opening the door!" And so she turned the knob and swung the door open.

Horror. Thats what she thought of. Was this a movie? This couldn't be real, she thought. This kind of stuff was only in Hollywood. But there he lay, cold and motionless on the floor as red liquid oozed from his arm onto the white marble floor.

"Felix...RACHEL! COME QUICK! FELIX NEEDS HELP!" Olivia placed her hands on his wrist to check for a beat. Her only response were her sister's thundering footsteps running throughout the house and...

silence.

"I would slap you right now, but you're already in pain and the doctor will be mad at me. I'm gonna slap you the moment you get discharged." Rachel pursued her lips as soon as Olivia left the room.

I only held my head down and bit my lip, avoiding eye contact with her.

'What were you thinking, idiot?!? Answer me!" She folded her arms in her chair, glaring at me.

"I wasn't..." I mumbled.

"Do you know how stupid that was of you? You know, when you hurt yourself, you hurt others in the process. Has no one taught you that before? Now you made Olivia scared. And what am I supposed to tell dad?"

"Nothing! Don't tell him ANYTHING!"

"Uh-huh. And what if you do it again, huh? Am I supposed to just tell no one that my little brother is cutting himself and say the stain in the bathroom was from cranberry juice?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't know what else to do."

She scooted her chair closer and lifted my chin so I was looking at her. "Olivia thinks its her fault. She thinks she's a bad sister, and thats why you did it. Just looking at you hurts her. And you know what? It hurts me too. You're the only brother I have, and I can't lose you. Do you understand?"

She stood up and grabbed her bag. "I can't forgive you for this, not yet. I hope you know what you've done." Rachel walked out, leaving me alone in the empty hospital room.
